Customers are saying

Customers value the large screen size and the ease of use of the Inspiron 27" All-in-One. They also appreciate the touchscreen functionality and the computer's performance for everyday tasks. While the ample memory is praised, some users find the hard drive to be slow. Overall, the positive feedback on the screen, ease of use, and performance outweighs the concerns about the hard drive speed.

    Great replacement for my tower

Getting this Dell all in one was a great move to replace my aging tower machine and de-clutter my work space. Setup is as simple as putting the included batteries into the keyboard and mouse, plugging the micro receiver into one of the multiple USB ports, screwing on the foot to the base, and powering it up. Once Windows finishes doing its thing, which does take a little bit, you're off and running. The 1 TB hard drive has more than enough space for my needs. I do kind of wish there was an SSD included to speed up some drive-intensive tasks like startup, but since I rarely turn my desktop off, it's really not that huge of a deal for me. The system feels fast and responsive and I have found myself really taking to the touchscreen and forgoing use of the keyboard and mouse for most tasks. On that note, one of the next things I will be doing is replacing the included peripherals since I don't care for the fell of either of them. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with the unit. It is heavy and seems like a quality-built piece. The screen resolution is full HD, not 4K, but I didn't get a computer to watch movies on--that's what a TV is for. It looks great for what it is and the touchscreen is quite responsive. All in all, my experience with this machine has been excellent thus far, just what you'd expect from Dell.

Large all-in-one PC with great support

Setting up this all-in-one PC took no time at all, it's as simple as plugging in the power (which is similar to other Dell laptop power cords), and the small USB chip for the wireless keyboard and mouse. With a 27 inch display, you don't need to be very close to the screen - but if you are, you can leverage the touchscreen. I struggle to understand where using the touchscreen would make sense with a screen this large. Personally, I'd prefer a lightweight laptop to be where I'd take advantage of a touchscreen - but this could work well if that's what you're after. It's also wall mountable, which could come in handy for a small business office. I voted it down from 5 stars because after fully updating, I found that the screen could go into what appeared to be a version of sleep mode, but would never come out and recover. Dell's support was excellent in troubleshooting all of the possible causes and determined it was a known issue with "Connected Standby" in Windows 10. However, as great as support was, I'd prefer that they not ship the PC with that enabled if it's going to cause issues like this. If I had wall-mounted it, it wouldn't have been as easy to fix, as I'd have to find a way to remove power and re-apply it (that's the only answer when it got into this state). Further, the built-in webcam quality is very low - it would likely work fine for video chat, but for a modern PC to not have a HD webcam is surprising. I did like that it was hidden on the top of the screen and could be popped in and popped out as needed.

Purchased this all in one PC, and during OS update, halfway through the process, the unit just froze.. I brought it back to bestbuy and was told that I’m not allow to exchange or get refund due to Bestbuys hidden max number of returned i have reached in a given year.. anyway, I send it to the Geek Squad and they shipped the PC back to Kentuck where they main repair center. and it was later determined by tech that the motherboard was bad and had to replace it. Two weeks later, I got it back and it is running normally.. Come on Dell!! This is over a thousand dollar PC! Please have your quality department check product before shipping to retail store for selling. You will save a lot of customers time and aggravations and your reputation.

    Best desktop I've ever owned

I absolutely LOVE this desktop! It is the first I've ever owned that had the computer built into the monitor. It is such a space saver I must say, lots of extra room on the computer desk now. It was quite heavy though, but I guess that's to be expected! The 27 inch monitor is large and beautiful, it could pass as a small tv honestly. It is very fast, I had no problems with setup. It comes with a keyboard and mouse, which my last desktop did not... actually pretty sure I had to buy EVERYTHING separately, which is a pain. Not with this model, everything you need in one box. It comes with 1TB of storage, which is plenty for anyone that isn't planning on using this for gaming. I know gamers need lots of storage and even 1TB can get used up quickly... just ask my daughter's Xbox! So if that's an issue, be warned. I have used this desktop to surf the internet, check email, and even watch videos. I am very impressed by the monitor. The picture is great and the size is perfect. I also love that its a touch screen! I have a touch screen laptop as well, so between that, my phone and iPad, I've found myself trying to zoom in on things on a regular desktop monitor, which obviously didn't work and had me feeling foolish. But now I can touch and zoom away, love it!

Years ago, I had a Dell Inspiron laptop that got cluncky way too fast, maybe because it was with Windows Vista. Tried out this Inspiron Desktop with Windows 10 home version, and felt comfortable from the get-go. I like touch screen features, the husband likes the 12 gb memory because he likes to run multiple apps with virtual machine. It's a solid 1 piece construction with wireless keyboard and mouse. So, if all goes well, this is the last desktop pc I expect to buy for another 3-4 years.

    Good for Home/Work, not Entertainment

Out-of-the-box initial setup was fast & intuitive. The pedestal stand does not require any tools, and basic instructions are included. You do need to have or sign up for a Microsoft account in order to fully utilize the system. It comes loaded with Windows 10 Home which comes with tons of personalizing options. The automatic Dell updates seem to be glitchy so far. Just after setup, it ran a few updates with no problems. Then it froze twice during installation of a critical BIOS update. Design - The modern, sleek black & gunmetal gray look goes well in office or home setting. The monitor’s thin bezel on sides & top give it a minimalist feel. The speakers are hidden across the front/bottom. A nice touch, the camera is recessed, pop-up style, so it stays hidden until needed. Display - I have to compare this to my current 2-year old AIO from another mainline mfr. The screen on this Dell is not glossy, but has more of a flat finish. This is great for reducing glare, but in comparing images & video with my other AIO, the colors were a bit muted and less crisp. The touch screen is fantastic. I much prefer a large screen to a laptop, and this is lightweight enough to be moved around when needed. Speakers - Very tinny sounding when listening to music, but voice is clear & strong. Again, comparing to my other AIO (that has built-in Bang & Olufsen speakers), I actually cringed while watching my favorite music videos. I will definitely hook up some external speakers. Keyboard & Mouse - Both are wireless & battery powered. The small USB receiver is uniquely hidden inside the mouse. The keyboard is standard and pretty quiet, but the mouse is very basic, uncomfortable & feels super cheap. Although I wouldn’t recommend this system for a heavy gamer or for entertainment without upgrading the speakers; overall, this is a good choice for a student or for home/office use.

Overall hardware is good, could use an Optane module or SSD to speed drive access up a bit. Screen is a little washed out but text is nice and crisp. Very bright whites. This is the first touch-screen unit I've seen that didn't have an ultra-reflective screen - that's a GOOD THING! It's a nice matte finish screen which is helpful in our computer room as a lot of light leaks in through the windows and glare off of a screen is never any fun! Things are a little slow until initial setup is complete. After that run a good thorough defrag and make sure you don't have too much running at startup and the system will be running like a champ! No option for adding discreet 3d graphics, but that's not the purpose of this machine. I'll likely swap out the HDD for a SSD or order an Optane module (need to research to make sure this MB has a slot for it).

This computer is very easy to setup once it arrives, its a breeze. The initial set up is very simple, the most difficult part is lifting it out of the box and attaching the stand. The performance is great, I have been transferring old vhs tapes to dvd and editing them as well as having multiple windows open...it has performed great. The small footprint is an amazing space saver without any messy cords or limitations on the mouse/keyboard no matter how far you sit from the pc. I do wish the stand had more versatility in regards to raising or lowering the screen. The speakers sound great for monitor speakers. I will still install my speaker system but it was nice to see dell didn't skimp on the speakers. There are plenty of ports with a lot options for connectivity. I love that this desktop has wifi buit-in, I was able to place the pc anywhere in the house without worrying about the internet cable reaching. The quality of the screen is also very crisp and clear, it's not a gaming monitor but this isn't a gaming pc so thats to be expected. I love the side ports with the USB/USB-C and SD card reader. There isn't many negative things to say about this pc but there are a few take aways that are not deal breakers. I wish the stand had more versatility to adjust the height/tilt of the monitor. I also wish it had a SSD for bootup and another regular \hard rive for storage. The bootup process takes over a minute which isn't terrible but with how nice this computer performs that would have been icing on the cake. I may try to add a SSD for bootup if possible. OVERALL a very nice computer that performs great and will make you forget you ever had a tower and has enough features to do everything you need very well.

I have been highly impressed by this computer. First off, every product I have ever purchased from Dell has been packaged extremely well, and this computer was no exception. Dell seems to take packaging to the next level, everything always feels very secure and safe as I open it and take out components. When it comes to setting up this computer, it really can be done in under ten minutes. And what seems to take the most time is cable management and routing. Otherwise attaching the monitor to the base and putting in batteries for the keyboard and mouse takes no time at all. One thing that I noticed that was rather strange while setting up was the power cord type, I would expect one long wire going to the wall, but really it is just like a laptop plug, two separate wires with a box in between the two. To me just seems strange, but be aware that you will have to find a spot for that power box. Both the mouse and keyboard that this computer comes with are really nice, they do not feel cheap and the only improvement I can think of is to make the keyboard backlit. Going thru the windows setup once the computer was on took the typical 10-15 minutes to complete. First thing I checked once up and running was the the screen quality and speaker quality. The refresh rate is what impressed me most about the screen, I for the life of me cannot figure out what the refresh rate is for this model but to me it is easily a 60hz, maybe even 120hz, I wish I knew for sure. Otherwise the HD screen is also impressive, just be aware of the anti-glare matte finish screen, it does take away from some of the sharpness. The speaker was also satisfactory, nothing amazing but it will do. The speed that this machine moves at is great, I can have tons of internet tabs open, other documents open, and even an app for music or a movie in the background and it doesn't slow down a bit. Storage and memory is also decent, I store a lot of pictures so I like to have multiple hard drives for storage for every file but for most people the built in storage this machine has is plenty. Overall, I really am happy and impressed with this computer and would highly recommend it to many people.

This has to be the quickest pc set-up ever! I had this computer up and running in about 20 mins. Only 2 components to connect, computer to stand then mouse and keyboard. The mouse and keyboard use the same dongle which means less USB port usuage. Runs fast and smooth. Highly recommend.

This was my first expierence with an all in one. This massive 27 Inch touch screen display exceeded my expectations! Its very responsive, large vivid and fully customizeable. The startup process was great, being able to just talk to the unit during startup was pretty cool. Impressive amount of storage. A little on the heavy side but, thats to be expected. Setup process was a breeze. Cons: The keyboard and mouse that it came with was extremely disappointing considering the quality of the unit itself. Definitely, uncomfortable and cheap feeling and I hate that I have to go out and get a new mouse and keyboard since the one included makes use much simpler and pairs well. I also feel it lags a bit and I have had some weird force closing but, I feel its more of a Windows issue, to be honest. The unit is also a little noisy but not a bother.

This Dell i7777 is a good upgraded replacement to my 8 yr old 21" AIO. It has some decent specs with the 8th gen core i7 and 12GB ram making it quick to operate programs and multitask. The 1TB hard drive does a good job with photo and video editing at 7200rpm. The FHD 27" screen is large and bright; the 10 point IPS touch overlay is quick at responding. The side mounted USB-3.1 and USB-C are immensely faster than my old system. It has a modern form factor that surprisingly fit in the same place the 21" was with the added benefit of storing the keyboard on the pedestal when not in use. That's all the good I can say about it. My dislikes are equally numerous starting with the screen; although large and bright, appears a bit washed out. The size and price point should've afforded at least a 2K resolution; highly visible difference at this size. My phone at 5.7" with 2K compared to a 1080p 5.2" is marginally noticeable, go figure with a 27" screen in front of your face. Most other models at this price point have SSDs with bootloaders supplemental to the main HDD, so boot times suffer with this unit that has none. The face id camera pops out when you push it (good privacy feature), but the system doesn't know whether it's up or down so if you forget to pop it up on startup, it will look around continuously. I had a small issue with the SD reader, it wouldn't connect to some cards unless I wiggled them a bit. It's a nice system with a great, powerful processor and a 27" touchscreen with a matte finish. Spend an extra $50, install a 256GB SSD and you'll feel much better with it's capabilities. It's a midrange system for a midrange price, it's not going to wow you, but it'll get things done for most people.

    Attractive But Really Average

This is a gorgeous looking system that sports great specifications, but results in average-to-disappointing performance. Alas, Microsoft has rendered an Intel Core i7 with 12GB Memory nearly unusable without a solid state drive controlling Windows - and for some reason, Dell has decided to produce this glamorous package without a speedy drive. On a positive note, for this all-in-one desktop package, I was pleasantly surprised that they included a nice wireless keyboard and mouse. And, stylistically, everything looks great. But ultimately, computers need to be about performance and the performance here varies from average to mildly disappointing. Even the initial setup took an insane amount of time (and my setup involved having to resolve a Windows license authentication error - how is that even possible in the release from a major manufacturer?). The touch-screen display is very responsive - better than most I have seen. But while I like having the touch-screen option, I'm not at all a fan of the display - the advertised resolution is all there but the image is wholly uninspiring (yeah...so this is definitely not a system for hard-core image or video processing!). I know that Dell can do better than this. It looks like they have tried to dip their toe into the Apple market (stylistically) and into the HP market (for their impressive touch-screen desktops) - but they wound up producing a perfectly attractive computer that can't quite compete with either.

Thanks so much for your valuable feedback. We're sorry that your new Dell All-In-One is not completely living up to your expectations. If you want to see if you can increase the overall performance of your computer we'd recommend running the Windows Performance Troubleshooter:

      3. Click Control Panel.
      4. Click System and Security.
      5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems.
      6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.
      7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process.
      8. Restart the PC.

If you have MacAfee then get rid if it. It is a resource hog. It is a great service, but I would recommend another. Windows 10 comes with great security already. To speed up the computer bring up the task manager and go to start up services, then disable most everything on there that isn't a windows native service. use common sense there. also see what processes your computer is running in the background and end those that aren't necessary.
