This computer has been very good so far, but time will tell!

It's really hard to see and or read the keys I've tried to brightening the keys changing the Backlogged etc and it took forever to get printer hooked up and I paid allot of money for geek squad and couldn't get assistance and had to call a friend to assist

so far its doing what is expected and seems to be fast

For more than a decade, we've bought Dell- everything. So when we bought a lemon a couple years ago, we chalked it up as a fluke and remained loyal Dell fans. This year, I bought my husband this computer. It's screen flashed within the first couple days and it never came back on. A tech came out and he couldn't fix it so it was sent back. It was returned with a stand that didn't work correctly and then we got a refund. We immediately bought the same exact computer with an extended warranty from Best Buy. In less than 3 weeks, it also stopped working. Geek Squad couldn't fix it, but they were professional. They sent it back to Dell and it was returned to the store with a new motherboard broken stand. Geek Squad fixed the stand, and we're crossing our fingers that we'll get a little bit of a useful life out of this one. Never, ever will I buy another Dell again. They are not the quality computers they used to be.

The hinge of the stand on the computer completely broke within a week of purchasing the desktop for my daughter as she started virtual school. The 2nd computer I got after returning the first one had power issues which took a visit to a visit to geek squad to fix. I will never buy a Dell product again!!

I remember my first Dell product--a laptop I had in graduate school. My husband bought a Dell laptop for himself a few years later, and we had a typical Dell desktop (tower/monitor/wired keyboard and mouse) set as well. All three computers were extremely reliable, capable, and lasted several years each--which is a lifetime in technology years! Over the intervening years we’ve tried HP and Lenovo laptops but they tended to have problems down the line. We have two Dell laptops now because I wanted that solid reliability back. This Dell desktop is another step in the right direction. The big 27-inch screen is crisp, clear and bright; hardly any bezel at all so the complete look is great. It even tilts forward and back to accommodate different angles of viewing. The included wireless keyboard and wireless mouse complete the nice minimalistic set so it doesn’t clutter a desk or other table. The webcam is nicely hidden at the top of the monitor, slightly behind the middle as a pop-up that clicks in and out with a slight push--an appreciated thoughtful gesture by the designers for consumers who are wary of having a webcam exposed/available at all times (we put a piece of tape over our laptops’ webcams already, especially for the kids). The monitor has a nice heavy base stand which doesn’t take up a lot of room, which contributes to a sleek look. My review is a 5/5 stars but if I could have very slightly docked the rating to a 4.5/5 stars I would have for just a few little reasons. The keyboard and mouse are quite a bit cheap-feeling (thin “plasticky” feeling) and cheap-looking for a desktop set that is almost $1400 total retail price. I feel that for that price level Dell should have included more robust, solid-feeling accessories. The keyboard and mouse have the look and feel of the cheapest wireless keyboard/mouse sets one can buy (say, around $15-$20) where I believe for this higher-end level of all-in-one desktop it should be more around the $50 level or more, at the very least. Another reason is that the speaker, which is a bar along the bottom of the monitor, could also be a bit better. I am not an audiophile by any means and honestly I was okay with the sound, but my husband (who is an extreme audiophile!) says that for the price, he expected better sound quality. Overall however the quality is superb. The computer itself handles multiple tasks/windows very well with no lag or buffering of any sort. I experimented with watching our different streaming services, surfing the web, going on my regular websites, downloading and using Microsoft Office, etc. (sometimes all at the same time, just to test the computer out) and it always performed smoothly. And the touchscreen has good responsiveness as well.

Dell is it to bad, missing the CD drive, did not think of it at the time but after a while few weeks this would be better with a cd rom drive, other than that it's a decent machine a little pricey but not bad...
