WORKS WELL BUT HAS ANNOYING FAN NOISE

Bought for husband who is a travelling technologist. He also used this computer when he was an Assistant Director. Great speed, great for multitasking, overall just an excellent machine.

I was hesitate at first but I am glad I got it when I did. It comes in handy. I'm always having to use my phone for things. Not any more!

I am happy with with it. Didn't like Windows 11, S version which would restrict from whom you can get aps from (e.g. Canon Printer).

I placed the order and it was available in few days. I picked up at the store and it's quick and easy.

It is fast and is working very well. Transferring the data from the old computer was simple. It is exactly what he was hoping for! He missed his old Dell.

I had to figure out how to change various settings (obscure and many google searches). 2) It was not set up to be seen on the local network. After the usual setting changes it still did not work. Many google searches later and that was solved. (These are not normal things that a user would do). 3) Finally more google searches were needed to enable the computer to see USB drives. After all that, It worked great. It did all the things that I wanted it to do.

Battery does not last as long as I thought it would. Underside gets quite warm. Ordered online, probably should have gone in store to review. I wanted a very basic Laptop as it is primarily used for email and YouTube. Did not expect the downside as previously listed. I'm disappointed.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your Inspiron 3511. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with the performance of your battery and your device heating up. That is not the type of feedback we like to hear from our customers. Below I have provided troubleshooting steps to help with your batteries performance and a link for overheating.
Here are the steps to help improve the battery performance of your laptop:
1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
2. On the options list, click Power Options.
3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built-in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.
a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
b) If running Cortana, type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
c) Turn the Battery Saver On or Off.
d) Additional settings are available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further the Battery Saver feature.
