Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm using this laptop to write a book and I have a continuous problem with the Word program - if I attempt to make a phrase bold or underline or change a font, it makes the change throughout hundreds of pages. This is suppose to have Windows 11 and I doubt this should be happening. Also the battery life is not what I read in specs. Instead of 10 hours I'm lucky to get 6.

Here are the steps to help improve the battery performance of your laptop:
1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
2. On the options list, click Power Options.
3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built-in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.
a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
b) If running Cortana, type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
c) Turn the Battery Saver On or Off.
d) Additional settings are available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further the Battery Saver feature.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with two Dell Inspiron 15 3000 laptops that I have owned for approximately 6 and 7 months respectively. As a tech-savvy individual who relies heavily on these devices for my business operations, the persistent issues I have been experiencing are not only frustrating but also detrimental to my productivity and work. Despite my best efforts to maintain these laptops, they have been plagued with a multitude of problems. The most prevalent issues include constant crashes, a failing touchpad, and a general slowness that hinders efficient operation. In an attempt to rectify these issues, I have undertaken several measures, including upgrading one of the laptops with additional RAM. However, these efforts have proven futile, as the problems persist. Most recently, after performing a hard restart on one of the laptops, it is now stuck in the setup section, rendering it virtually unusable. This is unacceptable for a product from a reputable company like Dell, and it is certainly not what I expected when I made the decision to invest in these laptops. I feel it is important to note that I have owned several laptops in my life, some of which were quite inexpensive, and yet, I have never encountered such a plethora of issues as I have with these Dell laptops. This experience has been uniquely disappointing and frustrating. I have always held Dell in high regard for its quality products and customer service. However, my recent experiences have significantly tarnished this perception. I am reaching out to you with the hope that we can find a satisfactory resolution to these issues. If not, I regret to inform you that I will be compelled to reconsider my choice of laptops in the future and will likely refrain from purchasing Dell products. I look forward to your prompt response and a swift resolution to these persistent issues. I believe in Dell's commitment to customer satisfaction and trust that you will take this matter seriously.

Only issue is the 256Gb SSD is a little marginal if you have a lot of photos videos. I bought a small usb memory stick to keep all my digital media. Works well
