Although I recently purchased this laptop, I am currently happy with my purchase. It basically satisfies my needs and allows me to accomplish the various tasks I have. I would recommend Dell computers and this laptop.

This computer works very well. The screen is crisp, the response time is fast. Reviews online noted that the brightness of the screen is not the best of computers in this category. When I use it outside the brightness needs to be 100%. The windows 11 that came installed on this computer Is different than the Windows 10 I am used to using so it is a bit cumbersome. The only omission on this Dell Computer is that there is no light to indicate when the numbers lock is on. This is a minor inconvenience. All in all worth the price.

Very nice laptop, it works well for home use with power nearby, because a full battery only lasts about 24 hours, and that is in sleep mode without use!

I bought this Dell - Inspiron 3511 15.6" Touch Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 256GB Solid State Drive - Black for a friend. I like the specs and he will be surprised to see it is a touch laptop also.

Great everyday use laptop and upgradeable ram and SSD storage. Only thing It is lacking that would have increased the price a lot would have been a dedicated gaming GPU

Received computer today after everything was transferred. Much faster and good size screen. Keypad comfortable. Not sure about the battery life, yet. But I would expect it to be good and live up to the Dell brand of quality.

First thing I noticed when updating the software it started to automatically heat up for a few minutes 1-2 min. I fully charged it and tested the pc functions and battery life. Oh boyy battery life only lasted up to 3 hrs I only watched 1 Youtube video 18 min related to work stuff, and 2 tabs with only info. The offer at the time was $449 but its a shame that battery life is horrible.

      Dear Yessi,

Thank you very much for your valued feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are not 100% satisfied with your Dell Inspiron 3511 laptop because the battery performance is not as you expected.

To help with a battery performance issue, we recommend changing the Power Plan:

      1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
      2. On the options list, click Power Options.
      3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built-in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.

      a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
      b) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
      c) Turn the Battery Saver On or Off.
      d) Additional settings are available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
      e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
      f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver features.

The hinge broke after a little more than a year of ownership and light use. The screen peels away from laptop if I try to close it now. Also runs much hotter than any other laptop I’ve owned. Terrible quality even for a budget laptop. First and last Dell.

Needed a portable Linux workstation for IT & Electronics Tech diagnostics work. Being an IT Pro, swapping the SSD with a spare 1TB Samsung NVMe drive only takes a few screws and a credit card, guitar pick, or spudger to open the casing...and I find the bonus...no where did they mention it has space for a 2.5" SSD drive as well!!! 100% Arch/BlackArch linux compatible out of the box, and I got to make use of a spare SSD to use for data transfers!!!
