Super slow computer, not what i was expecting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer because i saw it was 3.0 GHz and other features that made it very fast, but isn't any fast. I have a computer that i bought 5 years ago and it takes the same for shutting down, turning on than this one. When you open several tabs at the same time your computer starts being even more slower, i definitely not recommend this one if you need a great performance. Unfortunately i went out of the city for a month and it makes me not being on time for returning it.

Got a lemon
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately, this is the first poor product we've ever purchased from Best Buy or Dell. I use this for business travel. I set the computer up at home and it was good to go. Got to my destination and it would not work. Operating System was a no-go. Had to return it. The positive thing was how Best Buy took care of the problem as we had to replace it. I purchased a Toshiba - I prefer Dell's - but there were no large screen laptops available for purchase. Still holding out on whether I like the Toshiba or not. But the care from Best Buy was fantastic.

I like it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. But the letter C fell off in the third year and the pad stopped working all the time in the 4th year. As much as I paid it should last longer.

Good Laptop at a Great Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really needed a new laptop since the one I had is fully of viruses. Ideally I wanted a new laptop from a company that specializes in manufacturing PC only. I also wanted at least 6GB of Ram and at least an i5 processor. This laptop fit the bill. I previously had a Dell laptop, which still works and has several programs that I will continue to use. I needed a faster and more up-to-date laptop. Thus far, my 2 issues are Windows 8.1, which I really do not like, and the glossy finish of the laptop. My fingerprints are all over it and it is difficult to remove them. Overall, a very good laptop for the price (under $500).

BUY THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm serious, this computer is absolutely wonderful, especially for the price. So, I'm the first reviewer-in fact, I may be the first person to purchase this computer as it wasn't actually OUT when I went in to the store to buy it, they spent 30 minutes hunting for it in the back! I will do my best to write a review that at least does not dishonor this wonderful computer! What can I say? First off-the technical specifications for the computer crossed with the price is outstanding. I was so shocked-and so was the employee I talked to at the store-when I told him what this computer I had found online the night before had in it! A full terabyte of storage?? Running on the fifth generation i7? For $547?? How remarkable. I've used a variety of computers-almost every Mac, along with some cheaper laptops, and even Alienware gaming computers-of all of them, I'm most in love with this one. In terms of smoothness of operating systems, this compares with Apple products with no problem, and for far lower cost. Furthermore, the sound quality is wonderful! I'm a musician and so naturally a music lover, and I love a good sound system! I have never, ever had a laptop with good built in speakers-I'd begun to take it for granted that this was just how things are with laptops. This computer proves otherwise! I turned on classical music, Gregorian Chants, over to Hip Hop, Heavy Metal, Country-it all sounds great, and the volume can be cranked up fairly well on it, too! The keyboard is splendid as well! The keys are spaced just ever so perfectly from one another, and the keys press with such ease and fluidity, with no sticking, that almost immediately after the initial break-in period on this computer I'm able to type at 80 words per minute! It truly is a well built keyboard, I'm thoroughly impressed. As a writer, and a college student, that means a lot to me. A keyboard can make or break a deal with me when it comes to computers-knowing what I know now about this keyboard, I would've bought it regardless of the other specs, it really is that nice! And the keys feel solid, too, without losing any other positive quality about them. What's more is that this computer is a comfortable width, charges quickly, is easy to get used to and customize, and is great for either tech lovers who spend their time doing research papers and lots of reading like me, to grandma and grandpa who want to get on Facebook to see pictures of their children and grandchildren! I am thoroughly impressed with this computer. Before I end this rather lengthy review, I must include something that should've been included at first. I just came to this computer from a Mac. I am one of those people who worry about breaking things or having accidents, etcetera. The Macbook that I had felt so fragile in my hands-it was awful. This computer, on the otherhand, has a sleek, modern, professional design-high aesthetic-without sacrificing obvious, tangible sturdiness making it into what I'm sure will result in it being a durable computer. While I don't recommend dropping your laptops, this laptop could handle a common accident without fear of something awful happening! BUY THIS COMPUTER! I hope this helped! I was a little uncertain about buying it at first since it had no reviews, but I am so glad I did, and I assure you-you will be, too, if you buy it!

Good but we will see
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went into my local Best Buy looking for a new laptop that will perform all the tasks I need as a Telecommunications contractor. I had not been on the market for quite a while and was surprised to find that most lap tops sold today are 2 in 1 and lack an Ethernet port which is essential for my job. I actually thought about purchasing one of the 2 in 1's and also buy the USB to Ethernet adapter but couldn't bring myself to do so from lack of trust in the adapter as a good networking tool, so I found this and decided on the traditional laptop. This laptop has all the features I was looking for. More than enough space with 1TB of hard drive space, 6 gigs of RAM and the latest processor. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is due to the feel of the laptop. To me, it feels like it was built from cheap and brittle plastic. I travel with my laptop everywhere I go and lug it in and out of server rooms and customer locations. I hope it lasts as long as my earlier Dell Inspiron.
