So Dissapointed, the screen is falling apart
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has to be the worst laptop I have ever bought. Never buy cheap. The screen is falling apart, basically opening up on the bottom left corner every time I flip it open. The battery life is garbage, I am so disappointed. I should have just splurged on the Apple Mac .

Don’t waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a student I really enjoyed the size and 2 in1 feature. I bought this laptop a little over a year ago and in that time came many many problems and headaches. I’m usually not one to leave negative reviews but I was in the middle of a 4 part project and the laptop randomly shut off. Considering it had done that before I tried to just turn it back on; it stayed on for a solid minute and then went right back off. It wouldn’t even stay on long enough for the support assist to correctly diagnose what was wrong this time. It’s very frustrating considering dell is a good brand but personally if you are gonna need something reliable I don’t think this is the one.

Poor build quality, awful support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased October 2020, hinge has started to fail and part came off that supports the hinge. Contacted Dell who continually suggested that this was “damage” rather than a failure of hardware. There have been no drops or user damage caused and case has no scratches that would suggest otherwise. Dell refused to fix under warranty and directed me to a paid service that requires shipping the laptop to a 3rd party repairs company. Like everyone else right now we can’t function without a computer. Very poor product support, quality and customer service from Dell and failure in such a short time means I couldn’t possibly recommend this product or, given the poor support from Dell , anything else in this product range. I will attempt return to Best Buy and see if they can provide any assistance. I am responsible for millions of dollars of PC purchases every year for my company, we buy Lenovo. Should have gone with them, and based on quality I would recommend them as an alternative.

Don’t buy open box nor express shipping
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t buy open box anything, there’s no way best buy employees/ geek squad are checking these returned computers. Nor should you pay for fast delivery/shipping. Laptop arrived 4 days late for express shipping, and it was still logged in to the original owner not letting us use it at all. Also every time we reset the laptop it’s telling us the charging cable is incompatible.

Terrible battery life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At at the end of 1 year the battery started to lose charge quickly. After 2 years it was pretty much dead and would not hold a charge more than 1 hour. Finding the correct battery from Dell was a terrible experience, check out their customer reviews and you will find it is a common problem.

Posted .Hello Mike,
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you were experiencing difficulties replacing the battery on your device. Keep in mind that lithium-ion based batteries will naturally degrade overtime and result in degraded performance. Below are some tips to make the most out of your battery.
1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
2. On the options list, click Power Options.
3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.
a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
b) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
c) Turn Battery Saver On or Off.
d) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.
We hope this helps!
Best Regards,
Anthony P.

Unable to upgrade laptop without paying additional
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fairly decent laptop for use but couldn't get two screws off the bottom of the laptop. I wanted to upgrade the RAM. I called Dell support and they stated its not under warranty. Dont buy this laptop if you plan on upgrading it or getting the bottom off.
