I've had this laptop for a little over 6 weeks now, and I have used it every single day since purchase. For most weekdays I am on it all day long and often into the evening. So glad I got this! Great audio, love the combination of using mouse as well as touchscreen, with no glitches. Love that it has an HDMI plus USB port. I am using an ergonomic keyboard and ergonomic mouse (both wireless) with it, and I'm very happy with them as well. I do want to buy a USB extension hub so that I can have more than one USB port in use at the same time (only one is built into this laptop, and I use it for the wireless mouse which works great). I recently bought an active pen that can be used to write on the screen, but I haven't tried it out yet. Before buying this, I was a little hesitant because I read the reviews and a couple of people complained about the silver keyboard being difficult to read at night do to the backlit keys. I am using it every night to view online videos while in a dark room, and I am having no trouble whatsoever with the backlit keys. They are subtle and do not interfere with the visuals on the screen, nor do they make it difficult for me to see the letters on the keys. I should add that I'm almost 68 years old and I am not a geek when it comes to electronics, but when this laptop was delivered to my house, I had no trouble setting it up, following the easy and clear instructions on the instructions sent with it, along with instructions that popped up on screen. I've never before set up a new computer -- always had someone do it for me -- but it worked! I have no complaints about this purchase, and I am very glad that I selected this laptop! Excellent value for the price.

Lightweight. Tablet function works great. Fast even if multiple tabs are open. Voice recognition and finger print works good. Clear graphics. Easy to use. Battery last longer than other brands in the market. Keyboard function easy to navigate. If you know how to read the manual and follow the guides, you will enjoy and maximize full potential of your laptop.

I've purchased this laptop for school and for work so far it is a good computer it does what it needs to do. But it runs really warm on the underneath of the laptop. I haven't made up my mind if I'm going to keep it. It's a really good computer.

The laptop is decent and stylish. I purchased it when it was on sale. It has i5 processor with 8gb memory and 477 gb of SSD accompanied with 32gb of optane memory. Also, it has Windows Hello support for only fingerprint login, which is in my experience ok (don’t expect iPhone or Pixel phone level accuracy fingerprint). It has Active pen support with Windows Ink, but you have to purchase Pen separately, it does NOT come in the box. Also, its web camera seems nice. Laptop has aluminum/metal body all over it as far as I can say, which can get hot during heavy loads, like system updates, but it seems it does not affect performance. Dell and windows have very good support when it come to software updates. In addition, dell’s system management through software is amazing. You can also connect your Android phone to this laptop to receive calls and messages. It has thunderbolt support, HDMI, 1x USB-C, 1x USB, microSD card, headphone jack.

Size and look of laptop is great. I was surprised at how hot the machine gets within a few minutes of use. Speakers are not very loud for zoom calls. Wish it had additional USB ports.

      KRND,

Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear that your computer is operating hotter than you hoped it would. Here are some tips to help keep your computer operating at a cooler temperature:

      Tips for Proper Usage:

      1. Dell does not recommend placing portable systems directly on your lap. Due to reductions in the thickness of modern portable systems, heat transfer can be an issue.
      2. Using a portable system (Laptop) on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface will increase airflow and reduce heat from underneath and inside the system.
Using the portable system on a blanket, pillow, or other types of cloth will cover up the fan cause the computer to overheat and can cause permanent damage.
      3. It is recommended to use the portable system in a Room temperature of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) with a Humidity level no greater than 90%.
      4. Use compressed air to clean the vents on a regular basis.
      5. Using a cooling pad can decrease heat and increase performance.
      6. If you want to know the temperature limitations for your system, go to the Dell Support Website, look up your system model then open the user guide under the manuals link.

You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2uJ8AdG.

In order to make sure that your system's volume is properly setup, we'd recommend checking our Product Support Page for the latest software and drivers: https://dell.to/2PPb4BI.

I am not a huge computer user. I can do the minimal that I need on it basic internet searches, billing, photo storage, kids can use for simple games, tablet feature is nice. On the downside it does shut off sometimes when I put it to sleep and close it. It will restart entirely, saving my programs that were open. Do not shut until screen is off or it will drain the battery. Disappointed that there is not DVD player (couldn't find one at a decent price that did), bought an attachment and downloaded an app for it, but not quite sure how I feel about that yet. Good for basic use, above that I cannot say much.

This 2-in-1 Laptop is great for on the go thanks to being super lightweight. The Intel i5 is plenty fast and 8GB ram is more than enough for school. SSD is alright at 512GB but its quick and reliable. I would definitely recommend this laptop for any student looking to save some money but still get great speeds.

I use this mostly for college online courses and it's been great! Easy to use and it syncs with my Samsung phone. I like the option to use as a tablet if I want. It's seems small but big enough to do what I need and I've had it for 9 months. Only downfall is the lack of a number pad on the keyboard but thats a personal preference not a product issue. Great purchase for me!

Pros: 1. Reasonably thin and light 2. Full HD (1080p - I can't imagine why they still make anything other than the lowest budget laptops with anything less than full HD) 3. Good keyboard - easy to type, doesn't squish keys together even with such a small footprint 4. comes with a decent Windows installation 5. 8 GB + Optane memory actually works reasonably well. 6. Looks sleek and sexy Cons: Heats up quite a bit. I don't like the heat dissipation associated with this. You will not want to keep this laptop on your lap at all, even the table warms up after just an hour or two of use.

This laptop seems to run a little warm (like most small 2n1's these days),I found a few different things on websites and found when I made these changes, the heat dropped from 80-85 to 40-45. 1. Open "Dell Power Manager" app, under "battery information" (the first tab) go to "settings" on right side of screen and choose "Primarily AC use", then got to "thermal manager" (the third tab) and choose "Cool" setting. Close app. 2. Click "battery" on far right of taskbar and move slider to the middle. 3. Turn off Intel Turbo Boost in BIOS menu, to do this power off laptop, begin pressing "F2" repeatedly while powering on the laptop until you see "entering BIOS menu", go to "Performance" tab in BIOS menu and towards the bottom is the option of turning off turbo-boost (toggle off), then at bottom of screen choose "change settings", after exit BIOS and laptop will reboot into regular mode and that is it, hopefully it will do the trick (it worked for me).
