My daughter needed a laptop for school and this fit the bill. It had the right specs she was required to have. I had purchased another brand and had to return it 3 times due to various issues. Salesman suggested this one and it felt more sturdy but still same size as old one so it fit in the case we had. It was easy to set up and daughter is happy with no problems. I didn’t rate it higher because I don’t use it but she is happy therefore so am I.

My son-in-law has this model and we decided to order one for our youngest daughter to use for college. It is fast, light, awesome! I am planning to buy another for our household, I would highly recommend.

Laptop ran extremely hot to the point of being unable to touch the bottom while holding it. Tried several options, including a BIOS update, but it still did not fix the issue. Unfortunately returned it for a different laptop. On the positive side the hardrive is HUGE and this is a very fast machine. I do remain a DELL believer, it just did not work with this one.

I have been using the 2-n-1 for work and video conferencing. I need to be able to use the 2-n-1 so I can write on a the tablet when presenting. My only issue is I tablet mode I cannot type o the screen. I am not sure if that is a Dell issue or the type of video conference I am using. I am also struggling with an over sensitive touch screen. I have only just started to use the device so I am not comfortable giving it a device. It is doing the job I my other tablet and work laptop could not.

I’ve had this laptop for almost a year and a half. I love its light weight, the high-resolution touch screen and the tablet mode. What I don’t like is that after less than one year, the bluetooth/wifi card stopped working and the camera is out of focus.

I've always had terrible luck with laptops. I've had 4 different companies in the past, each has been a pretty bad experience, this was no different. This time I tried Dell. Long story short, I will not be purchasing another Dell laptop. Initially when I was on the search for a laptop, I needed one that I would only need to use once a week for work since I usually work from a desktop. That's it. Once a week. This laptop could not even handle that. I'll go through all the cons first. The laptop can barely handle running a YT video and anything else in the background. If you do have both open, the fan sounds like a jet engine. My desktop has 5 fans and this laptop is louder than that. It literally sounds like it's about to explode whenever you try to do anything remotely resembling multitasking. The laptop got slow VERY quickly. Worked fast for about the first two weeks, after that it just got quite slow. It's about 6 months old now and it freezes, is slow and refreshes whenever it feels like refreshing. Honestly don't know what the problem is. Mind you, I don't use this laptop for gaming or for anything else, I've barely downloaded anything. It's literally just a laptop I needed to use once a week so I could go to my office in-person and get some work done, but even then it feels like something I've used for 2 years already. This might be a settings option, but for some reason whenever the laptop goes to sleep, it's like it goes into hibernation. Every single time I close the top, the laptop acts like it's just turning on for the first time. It isn't the biggest deal, but I have never owned a laptop that goes into hibernation by default rather than going to sleep. The pros? Sound is good, even at about 10 volume I can still hear pretty well and it's pretty loud, no need to even raise it past that which I was pretty happy with. The only other pro I can think of is that it still works. My other laptops started deteriorating after a couple of months and whilst this has also started going down that path, I am still able to use it for that one day once a week. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. I spent over $700 for a product that I probably didn't need to spend over $500 on, but I just wanted to ensure that for that one time a week I needed to use this laptop, I wouldn't run into trouble. This laptop has caused me trouble most weeks, so I will certainly not be purchasing anything from Dell again.

      DCReviwer,

Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear that your computer is not performing the way that you hoped it would. There is a BIOS update for your computer that has been released that you will want to make sure is downloaded on your computer: https://dell.to/37gOpoA. Hopefully this helps with the fan noise that you're experiencing.

If your laptop is still operating slowly for you, please consider running the Windows Performance Troubleshooter:

      1. Close all open windows.
      2. Press the Windows logo key + X key on the keyboard.
      3. Click Control Panel.
      4. Click System and Security.
      5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems.
      6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.
      7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process.
      8. Restart the PC.

You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2tSulGV.

We hope that these tips help your computer perform better for you.

      Best,
      Bryan

Great sleek look with great speed and functionality. My only modification woul dbe to the keyboard. When in use there is a backlight and the lettering is almost impossible to see. You need to know your finger placement from any typing classes or you will struggle with the keyboard. I am sure you can turn off the light but I have not found where to do that as of yet.

Because Microsoft was not supporting Windows 7 anymore I needed to upgrade from my old netbook which had served me faithfully for 10 years. I wanted a smaller laptop because of having a printer on my desk too. I looked into other options, but decided a laptop that could be a pad if needed was a better choice for me. For the price, it has worked well, but also has only been a month.

Good quality at a good price. This was an open box item and the price was too good to pass up. I did have to buy a USB hub because it doesn't have enough ports but that is pretty common now. I also didn't know I had to buy the power supply because as an open box, this was missing. I don't believe that was in the listing though
