Nice OEM gaming combo
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have used this machine for about a year now and it's only had 1 serious issue - the onboard audio system/driver is basically crapping out. Weird, distorted audio, coupled with overall system lag seem to plague this box at crucial high performance situations in games. Onboard diagnostics cannot find an issue/problem - but it's there. May have to add a dedicated sound card to this box.

Frustrated
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a decent machine. The mouse and keyboard, throw them away the moment you get this computer. The original, mouse and keyboard out of no where would just lose its connection to the computer, you have no other choice but to hard boot this thing. I replaced both with upgraded KB and mouse, and it still once in a while decided to just stop all access to KB and mouse. This of course only happens when I really need it not to. Paid a lot of money for this, and expected more from DELL.

Issues after issues out of the box.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I bought this due to the overpriced graphics cards market, and this seemed like a good deal. After getting it home, as soon as I turn it on, the screen strobes and shuts down, after giving me a bluescreen saying the video driver has crashed. Great start. Sadly this was the tip of the iceberg. I assumed it was the corrupted HDD which was fine because I bought an SSD to install the boot onto anyway. Even after that, I'm still currently fighting the video driver shutting off and restarting itself. If anyone has these issues, what seems to have worked for me is downloading MSI Afterburner and upping the Core Volage or Core Clock. (At least this has worked so far, I've noticed no pattern in my screen strobing, going black, then turning back on) Luckily I'm computer savvy so this was all fairly easy to deal with, though I shouldnt have had to, if someone that bought this did so because they know nothing about computers and just wanted a plug and play, like it shouldve been, this wouldve been a nightmare. Another way for Best Buy to get you to pay extra for Freak Squad.

Dont waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1. Not upgradable. Cant add an extra video card without updating the power supply. 2. The RX580 video card is actually a rebranded RX480 with an updated bios. 3. PCI express bus is crippled. Only functions on 8 bits instead of 16. Smoke and mirros.

Slow and Loud
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only used this computer for a few hours before I had to return it. Boot times were atrocious. The hard drive was one of the slowest I've seen in 10 years or more. Dell also does not provide any cables or screws with the case, so even if you buy an SSD, you won't have what you need to hook it up. They could at least include an M.2-sized screw! Who has that exact screw lying around?!? The fans also felt louder than any computer I've used in many years, even when the computer wasn't doing anything. An iBuyPower is probably a lot better deal.
