Good simple computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works good. Fairly quiet. But with it being a Dell, it comes loaded with a ton of Dell software preinstalled. Some of that is pretty annoying, especially with different pop-ups from those apps. But overall, it's a good computer.

Good light duty desktop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If your needs are mostly email and web browsing with a little bit of word processing this is a good choice. The wireless adapter is adequate although we use the ethernet adapter. The 8 GB of RAM and 1TB hard drive are appropriate to the job. This is not a machine for serious gaming, graphics, or audio editing. OTOH it costs nowhere near what you need to pay for that kind of hardware. It comes with some shovelware that's not too hard to get rid of. The setup procedure out of the box is designed for maximum hand holding. I found it annoying but some people probablly find it useful.

Overall Good System
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No issues setting up and getting running. Do have a problem with the CD/DVD drive not playing DVD's. Sometimes it works and sometimes it decides not to work. Other than that it preforms as expected.

Everything that I Expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With my company discount for not even an equivalent desktop, I was unable to beat the price of this system when it was on sale at Best Buy ($50 less). When one store did not have it in stock, I was able to go to another store to pick it up. No hassle, easy transaction. The system has been running like a champ, everything that I expected. You get both Dell and Windows updates pushed to your system, letting you restart it at your convenience. Activated the McAfee AntiVirus that came with it, which is for a year, and will install Kaspersky when McAfee is up.

A solid desktop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 4 year old Dell Inspiron started giving me fits due to disk errors. I was unable to get a replacement disk to boot Windows 10, so I purchased This Inspiron with a bit more RAM and the latest generation i3Core Intel processor. I am not sure why the laptops are more powerful and cheaper, but I prefer a desktop for my workhorse.

Quiet, efficient and has tons of memory.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Inspiron Desktop is much lighter and easier to move around than my previous Dell desktop. It is also much quieter and responds faster. Downloads and updates are processed much more quickly.

Little Dell
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice compact size for a desktop. It runs very quiet, you can hardly tell it's running at all. Loads pages fast and moves from screen to screen rather snappily. So far, LOVE this little Dell!

Good basic Dell Desktop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good desktop. Easy setup. Not too much bloatware. Fairly speedy. I was impressed by the latest software used by Dell to update BIOS and other updated software. Works better than in the past.

good desktop computer for my needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I write poetry and prose and scan lots of old family photos and documents to share with siblings and cousins. My gaming is limited to various forms of Solitaire, Scrabble, Easy Crosswords, Mahjong, and similar. This computer is quieter than the last one and can hold more data. For me, that is great.

PERFECT! Geeks recommended processor type etc
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Geek Squad worked on my old Toshiba Laptop a number of times until it's Mother Board crashed. But I'd been talking to them about what would make sense for me based on my usage. Intel i-3 was on the recommended list for me with a hard drive of 1TB and 8 GB ram. And they recommended DELL or ASUS. I'd been looking at laptops on the BestBuy floor and my budget was around $400.My laptop had a 17" screen and I suddenly remembered that I hardly moved the thing off my desk so why not get a desktop again? I had one before but it was not a wireless tower and I hated all the wires. But they make them slimmer and OMG so much lighter now. Besides that, I already had a monitor at home from my old Dell desktop which I'd hardly used but was saving for a rainy day in case I needed it. The only thing is I had to buy a set of speakers but those were only $14. I work from home, have a website, write blogs and newsletters, go on Facebook and all the usual things, shopping too. I do not do gaming so cannot speak to that. It is fast and it was President's Day right after I purchased it and Best Buy will issue you a refund if you find the product cheaper elsewhere--they can even check if you call in (links with phone numbers on Best Buy websites) to see if it actually is cheaper elsewhere. They found the record of my purchase and within a few days refunded $100. My wireless download speed from my internet provider that I pay for is 50 Mbps. This computer is plenty fast and I have multiple windows open and there's no complaint there. I could pay more to Continuum and go up to 75 Mbps but don't need them. This Dell Inspiron has a CD player and lots of USB ports, two in the front and a mic jack and headset jack and I'm sure other specs that I don't use so check the product description. This tower will last longer than a laptop I think as so many things go wrong with laptops. I have a tablet which I use to access the internet when I want to go online but be away from my desk. So this works for me. I hope my review is helpful as far as educating your purchase.

Good PC for everyday needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the small form factor, and setup was easy. I like the pre-install Windows 10. There was no bloatware, and the only thing I had to uninstall was the McAfee that came on it.

Works Great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great basic computer. It meets my needs as a web designer. The only issue I have had so far in the past 2 months is that sometimes when browsing the internet the browser locks up or kinda hick-ups. The processor is not as lightning fast as I was hoping but it's not something that I see as major problem. It rarely happens. One thing that blows me away is how absolutely SILENT this computer is! It makes absolutely no noise at all when running. I had Best Buy transfer all my data from my old computer on to this one for $79 which was well worth it since I couldn't get my old computer even turned on anymore! I would buy another one. Time will tell though!

Great computer at a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having "locking up" problems after an update downloaded and decided to look for a newer computer without breaking the bank. I found this Dell to be a perfect replacement for my older Gateway that was having trouble keeping up with Windows 10. Problems are gone.

Excellent, fast computer.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a little over 10 years, my wife's Dell Inspiron suddenly refused to reboot, and I did a quick search for a replacement, and found this model on sale at Best Buy for a very attractive price. Although Windows 10 takes some "getting used to," we got good technical support for one monitor/view issue from Dell, and the rest of the set-up went smoothly. It's only been a few weeks in use, but so far, we really like this PC. It is fast, reboots quickly, and has plenty of RAMs and a 1TB hard drive, which suits our needs. All things considered, we're back to "normal," (and then some).

does what I need
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this computer after a computer I had for less than 6 months was fried by a power surge on the internet cable. I wanted to find a computer quickly, and very few everyday desktop computers were in stock at Best Buy or Office Depot. This computer was very similar to my previous computer, but has a larger case than the HP that was fried. The computer technitian complained about the small box of the HP that made it hard to work with. I also liked that this computer has built in wi-fi; no hard-wired connection to fry my computer again. It does everything I need it to do. I'm not fond of Windows 10; it is hard to find what I want at times, but all computers I looked at had Windows 10. I would recommend this computer to anyone who needs an everyday computer for personal use.
