Love the smaller size.

You can get them on sale for the same price as the larger desktop towers. The wifi works great when needed. The i5 has just enough oomph to do those larger tasks that I don't trust the i3 to handle. It's great that these come with 8 GB RAM, anything less in not quite enough.

Fast!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new desktop to use as a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). When mastering one hour + WAV files - speed is really important. I hate waiting for 10 minutes for certain steps to complete as I did with my old AMD Phenom Quad computer. For the price this was a good deal. So, while I HATE Windows 8, and would have been much happier if they still offered a Windows 7 option, all in all this computer has been a very satisfying buy. Windows 10 can't come fast enough for me. My only complaint is no support for more than 2 monitors and no HDMI video out so I had to immediately add a separate video card for those features. Granted not everyone needs three monitors, but in this day and age it should have an HDMI as standard. Everyone has an HD TV.

computer fine-Dell support not so good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a Dell because of brand loyalty. I owned a Dell XPS 400 for many years with no issues but a upgrade was needed because of XP OS. The new computer had issues with connecting the HP printer and the Dell speakers so I called Dell support. As for the speakers I was connected to Dell support USA and was told the Dell speakers were probably to old and placed on hold for 15 minutes before hanging up. As for the printer issue I was connected to Dell support India and was told it was not my computer and transferred to Dell printer who transferred me to Dell customer support who transferred me to Dell printer again. I was asked what brand and when I said HP he transferred me to HP support who transferred me to Microsoft support. There is one common thread that both Dell support US and Dell tech support India have is that they are experts in the fast shuffle. Either they inept or they have neither the time or patience to help. Thankfully I did not purchase the expensive extended protection if this is any indication of service. Fortunately my daughter-in-law fixed everything in 20 minutes as I watched my grandchildren. The next day I received a phone call from Dell but the connection was terrible from Bombay India and could understand the caller. This is my Dell experience. I hope this experience was out of the ordinary and I do like the computer so far. I also have a issue with the 8.1 OS that was preloaded at the factory. The system is not explained and you have to feel your way around. No instructions as I know were included showing the features and what they do. Microsoft seems more into adding commercial advertising tiles to increase revenue then making the experience pleasant and not a source of aggravation. It was like riding in a car down the road with advertising billboards all of the place but no helpful signs showing you where you are. The preloaded 8.1 software had issue too.
