. The Dell Plus Copilot+ 16” 2-in-1 from Dell feels like someone finally asked, “What if productivity and personality had a baby?” The Ice Blue finish is clean without screaming “look at me,” and the 16” 2K touchscreen is sharp enough to make your old laptop feel like it was running on dial-up. Performance-wise, the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V (2024) from Intel is quick, efficient, and surprisingly cool under pressure. Multitasking with 16GB of RAM feels effortless — I’ve had browser tabs multiplying like rabbits, a video call running, documents open, and it didn’t flinch. The 1TB SSD gives you room to breathe instead of playing digital Tetris with your storage. The 2-in-1 hinge is sturdy and smooth. Laptop mode for serious work. Tent mode for presentations. Tablet mode for when you want to pretend you’re just casually reviewing documents on the couch. The touchscreen is responsive and actually useful — not the gimmicky kind. Battery life? Respectable. It’ll comfortably handle a full workday unless you’re pushing it hard with editing or heavy AI tasks. Speaking of AI, the Copilot+ features (powered by the broader ecosystem from Microsoft) are genuinely helpful when you lean into them — especially for summarizing, drafting, or organizing workflows. Keyboard feel is solid — good travel, not mushy. The trackpad is large and responsive. Speakers are decent, though not “replace your home audio system” level. Why not a perfect 5? • It’s a bit on the larger side — portability is good, but it’s still a 16-inch machine. • Premium pricing. You’re paying for the performance and design. Overall, this is a powerful, stylish machine that handles work, creativity, and everyday life without drama. If you want something that feels modern, capable, and just a little ahead of the curve, this is a smart buy. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Would I hide it from family members who suddenly need “just a quick favor” on a fast computer? Also yes.

I’ve been using the Dell Plus Copilot+ PC 16″ 2-in-1 for several weeks now and I’m very impressed — this laptop checks almost all the boxes for a modern, versatile work-and-life machine. What I love Performance & speed. With the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 16 GB RAM, and 1 TB SSD, the laptop runs smoothly no matter how many applications I throw at it. Display & touchscreen. The 16″ 2K touchscreen is crisp, bright, and responsive — great for everything from spreadsheets and documents to media, video calls, and digital note-taking. The 2-in-1 design (laptop ↔ tablet mode) adds a layer of flexibility that’s hugely useful. Build, portability & design. The chassis feels sturdy and premium, yet the laptop remains portable enough to carry to work, meetings, or travel. The keyboard and touchpad feel solid and comfortable for long typing sessions. Battery life & convenience. Battery lasts long enough to get through a full workday without recharging. The large SSD gives plenty of storage for documents, photos, and large files. Overall value. Given its power, features, and flexibility, this laptop feels like an excellent value — whether for business use, creative work, or everyday tasks. Minor drawbacks The number of physical ports is limited, so if you depend on many external peripherals (USB-A, SD card readers, etc.), you might need an adapter or docking station. Dell +1 The audio is decent but not amazing — speakers are good for calls, video, or casual media, but not the strongest if you want rich, immersive sound for music or movies. Best Buy +1 ✅ Final Verdict If you want a reliable, powerful, and flexible laptop that works just as well for business tasks, creative work, or general use — and offers the convenience of a touchscreen/tablet mode — the Dell Plus Copilot+ PC 16″ is a standout choice. It’s not a hardcore gaming rig or top-tier multimedia powerhouse, but for productivity, portability, and everyday performance, it’s tough to beat. I’d strongly recommend this to friends, coworkers, or anyone looking for a “do-it-all” laptop that won’t slow you down.

I’m not techy at all, but this laptop is fast, easy to use, and feels very high-end. The 16-inch touchscreen is beautiful, the 2-in-1 feature is super convenient, and everything runs smoothly with no lag. Tons of storage, solid battery life, and the Ice Blue color looks great. Definitely worth the money and I’d buy it again.

Everything seemed to be working fine, but then I heard a noise inside the device. It shut off, and I couldn't get it back on. I took it back to the store. I had bought it three or four days earlier. I wasted my time configuring the device, and now I have to start over again, looking for another option to buy and repeating what I had already done on the other one.

    Dell's new 2025 2-in-1 sets the standard

Dell has released their latest laptop PC for 2025. The version I am reviewing is the Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 Laptop. One thing that stood out regarding this laptop is that it seemed like Dell wanted to add all the latest and greatest specs and features on paper. For this reason, it intrigued me and made me want to see what this laptop has to offer. This 16-inch version comes with Windows 11 Home with Copilot+ PC. Theres been a bit of confusion in the industry regarding Copilot, Copilot+, and Copilot Pro. This laptop has Copilot+ incorporated, which means there is a NPU to perform some of the heavy lifting with the AI tasks. My experience The presentation of the Dell plus 2-in-1 is setup nicely. The box, packaging, and laptop has a premium look and feel. When first opening the box, I noticed the sheer size of this laptop. The 16-inch IPS monitor will be a bit too large for some, however. The heft of the laptop is really noticeable. For this reason, I can't imagine a lot of people deciding to lug the laptop around daily. If you decide to opt for the smaller version, that one may be more mobile friendly. This 16-inch version seems to be better suited to remain in your workstation at the home or office. Features Intel Core 7 256V Windows 11 Home with Copilot PC+ 16-inch FHD+ (1920X1200) resolution Touch Screen with 300nits brightness 16GB DDR5 Fingerprint Reader USB type C port – Thunderbolt 4 with DisplayPort 2.1 and power delivery WIFI 7 On paper, this laptop has all the specs and features of a premium laptop for the everyday user. Real world usage was a bit of a mixed bag. This laptop is hefty. At almost 5 pounds, it seems like this laptop needs to find a more permanent spot on a desk instead of carrying around. I tried opening the laptop with one hand, and this was not possible. Battery life is good. I spent hours browsing websites, playing videos, and doing some work for my business. The battery drain was minimal at best in comparison to some other laptops in the same caliber as the Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1. CoPilot + features: I thought Recall was going to be a bit of a novice feature, but I used this feature the most. I often take screenshots of certain things I need while browsing. Having Recall, there is no need to do this any longer. There is an emphasis on security as you need to login to be able to access it. Keyboard The keyboard is nice. The keys are spaced out well, and the number pad is spacious. The trackpad is large and adequate. The keys can be backlit for typing in dark rooms. Screen No complaints with the IPS screen. It doesn't get overly bright at night and can present some glare in bright rooms. The colors are sufficient and doesn’t look washed out. Speakers The speakers sound pretty good. I listened to music, movies and various clips of audio. They can get loud without much distortion. The speakers are down firing, so you may notice a difference in sound if the laptop sits on your lap. Overall, I think this is a great option for the everyday user who would like to dabble in AI and video editing. This device does everything well. Featuring some of the most advanced specs to date. With its overall size and heft, I think this laptop will be better suited being placed in a more permanent office or home setup.

I’m really impressed with this Dell Plus 2-in-1 laptop. The 16” 2K touch screen is sharp and vibrant, perfect for both work and entertainment. The Intel Core Ultra 7 delivers fast performance, and with 16GB of memory and a 1TB SSD, everything runs smoothly with plenty of storage. I also love the sleek design and the flexibility of the 2-in-1 mode. Great balance of power, portability, and style!

I was pleased to give this laptop a solid five star rating as it is perfect for my needs and should last a good while. Made in Vietnam, I feel this laptop clearly displays the quality and durability I expect from Dell products. The chassis is what I look for in a laptop of any size: sleek, thin and lightweight. Additionally, the hinges are metal, not plastic and the entire case has a nice nonglare finish. The laptop it flexible and these hinges allow it to be a laptop, standup screen or tablet configuration, depending on your preference at the time. The screen is a generous size and I like to set it on an end table near the sofa in the standup configuration, with a remote keyboard in my lap. At a table or desk, I can use either with laptop keyboard or remote keyboard. Versatile! The keyboard is a full keyboard with number pad, which is essential when doing calculations or accounting tasks. I like that the backlit island keys are not too tiny, yet provide sufficient space between each other to type smoothly. The only thing that would make the keyboard better would be for the NumLock, CapsLock and Mute keys to have a small indicator light so that I could instantly tell if they were activated. Ther eis also an optional fingerprint reader in the upper right corner for added security. There is a USB-A and USB-C port, HDMI, audio and charging USB-C on the machine. Would be better if there were USB-C on each side, but I realize space is limited! The touch pad works well and provides a smooth surface for scrolling and clicking. It is very sensitive to touch and responsive to movement. Speaker are on the underside of the keyboard and provide good sound. Starting up the machine was effortless and I was using it in short amount of time. It copied over my Microsoft settings and desktop from my primary computer in a matter if minutes, letting me seamlessly move work from office to living room to patio! With Intel Inside, Ultra 7 processor and ARC graphics, I feel confident in grinding out database calculations as well as watching my favorite streaming shows. One terabyte SSD Provides plenty of space to store files, while the 16 GB RAM keeps it running smoothly. The color is fantastic and rich, rivaling made-for-viewing televisions. Overall, I feel I will have years of service with this machine!

I have long been a fan of Dell computers, currently owning an AIO desktop and a laptop. As a result, getting the opportunity to try out the new AI-centered (Copilot) Dell 16 Plus laptop was looked forward to. The overall experience has been one of mixed feelings. Since the debut of MS OneDrive, setting up a new Windows computer has been a snap. OneDrive moves your files, etc. from the current computer to the new one easily and quickly. Now, there are more steps involved in getting the process up and running. The same can be said for MS Office. There is a new learning curve because of software changes. Add in the Copilot learning curve, and setup is no longer a snap. Essentially, these are all software matters, not hardware, but it’s all in the same package. As with most Dells, the Dell 16 is feature loaded: *Viewing: Excellent 16” touch screen: Resolution 1920x1200 WUXGA (Wide Extended- Graphics Array – Offering taller screen height; Refresh rate 60Hz *Processing: Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 2, 8 Core CPU speeds: Basic 2.2 GHz/Boost 4.8 GHz. RAM memory 16 GB combined to provide fast accurate productive output. *Storage: SSD 1TB. *Connectivity : HDMI 1, USB 3 (1 USB-C charging). Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 7 * Lighted keyboard, which is a must for me. Also, there is an onboard numeric keypad, which I greatly prefer. Also, there’s an onscreen touch keyboard when in tablet format. *Copilot Plus PC: This is the latest in Windows AI. It assists with response time in searching for documents, emails, web pages with a program called Recall. While I am still learning what Copilot can do ( Image generation and editing, enhanced video calls, real time language translation, and more), I am finding it helpful. *Versatility: It’s called “2-in-1” because can be used as a laptop or a tablet. Conversion is easy because all you must do is fold it over. Plus, between those two formats, it can also lay flat or be folded into a “tent” to stand on a level surface as a speaking aid or other demonstration. *Build: Dell Plus laptops are not encased in plastic. They are built with durable materials that meet military-grade requirements. Don’t throw the laptop down to evaluate it; but should you accidentally drop it, you’ll be glad for the build. While I genuinely like Dell 16, I have two strong issues in one: Facial recognition (Windows Hello). Using facial recognition for logging on is especially important to me, because fingerprint ID is a “no go.” Since the debut of facial recognition a while ago, it has always been an important feature for me. Now, for some questionable reason, facial recognition is not available on the Dell 16! In settings, where one would look to activate it, the “Set up” button is not usable. (See pic) On screen it looks as if it’s available in the software, but it cannot be activated. This is a large backstep in security and a great loss for those of us who can’t use a fingerprint for access. The onboard camera is only usable as a web cam. It baffles me as to why such a desirable laptop, especially at its price level, would omit facial recognition. Overall, the Dell 16 is a laptop to take you to a new level. It offers a lot to assist in computing/creating/writing needs. Except for, my stated issue, it is perhaps the best laptop I’ve seen in a while.

    Extremely capable notebook!

This notebook is super functionable. It's got power. Intel Core Ultra 7 & Intel ARC graphics card. CPU benchmarks were very respectable even though it's a laptop. Photoshop ran extremely well. 3D graphics somewhat on the lower side. But that's to be expected for a laptop without an extreme modern fan cooled GPU one finds in desktops. First impressions: They keyboard layout is somewhat tighter. Coming from a macbook primarily, the keyboard is shifted to the left... because there's an added ten key to the right. This could be a game changer for those with productivity requirements (Excel, data entry etc). They put the trackpad also left adjusted centered with the keyboard. At first I had a few issues adjusting to the left, errant right clicks by clicking on the right side of the trackpad . But that's all customizable in settings and able to be disabled. For authentication, there's a fingerprint button. I was surprised how fast it works. Zero noticeable delay. Startup is super fast. Laptop profile is super slim, it's lightweight. Screen is 1920 x 1200. And it's touch screen. You can fold the entire laptop screen back and flip it around to use it completely like a tablet. That would be great for when I'm doing recipes in the kitchen. All in all this is an impressive laptop.

I’ve spent a few days with the Dell Plus 2-in-1 16", and honestly, it’s one of those laptops that just gets most things right. From the moment I opened the lid, the solid build gave off a premium feel—no flimsy plastic here. Here are my comments on each section I found relevant to my use case; • Sharp FHD+ Touchscreen – The display is crisp, colorful, and smooth, whether I’m scrolling through articles or watching videos. Plus, the touchscreen adds that extra level of convenience when I want to ditch the trackpad. The CON: I would prefer the screen to get a little brighter. Totally fine for indoor use, but hard to see when outside in daylight. (minus 1 star) • Fast Wi-Fi – No lag, no endless buffering—it connects quickly and holds strong, even in spots where other devices struggle. • Backlit Keyboard – This is a game-changer in dim lighting, making late-night typing a breeze. • Great Number Pad Layout – I appreciate the big Enter button—it just feels right when typing. My previous laptop has the smaller enter button and I constantly hit the wrong button. • Standard USB & HDMI Ports – Having a full-size USB slot and HDMI port means I don’t have to carry around adapters, which is always a plus. • Fingerprint Reader – Quick and reliable—it lets me log in instantly without typing a password every time. • Solid Build – This laptop feels sturdy and well-constructed, making it perfect for daily use. Since this is on the larger size, it is a bit heavy, so I would recommend the 14 inch model if you are on the go a lot. • Good Battery Life – I can go hours without scrambling for a charger, which is great when I do happen to travel with it. • Sound – The sound quality is much louder than my previous laptop. Pretty impressive for a laptop. Overall, the Dell Plus 2-in-1 doesn’t just perform well—it feels good to use. It’s a laptop that balances power, convenience, and thoughtful design. If you're looking for something reliable with a fast connection, practical features, and premium feel, (And for indoor use) this might be the one for you.

This Dell 16” Intel Core Ultra 7 Copilot+ laptop is, for the most part, a solid machine for everyday use. While it adds to the weight, the aluminum casing gives it a premium feel, and I think it will hold up longer than plastic found on many laptops. The keyboard provides a sturdy feeling without too many clacking sounds. The trackpad is, well, average at best; I always use an external mouse on laptops that only have a trackpad. The screen is bright and crisp for an LED display. The ability to use this as a clamshell laptop or a tablet is fun, but I doubt most people will use it as a tablet since it is relatively heavy compared to other tablets. Interestingly, the 16-inch version and 14-inch version of this laptop are the same price despite having almost identical specs other than the size of the screen. First Impressions: Starting this laptop up was a very disappointing experience (see pictures). I was disappointed in how many updates – both software and firmware – this laptop needed just to get to the point of getting to the Windows desktop. It took almost 2 hours from first powering the laptop on to being able to start using it. I don’t know whether to fault Dell or Microsoft … but a laptop this new shouldn’t take that long. Getting Microsoft 365 setup was also a poor experience – I had to uninstall/reinstall M365 from my Microsoft account to get it up and running. The bloatware is reasonable for a Windows machine although I did go through and remove a lot of apps I found unnecessary for my use case. Using the Laptop: I have been using this computer mainly for business purposes. For general Microsoft apps and web browsing, the i7 Ultra with 16GB of shared RAM/Integrated Graphics was pleasantly as quick as a hiccup. When pushing the integrated graphics card a little via a video editing app, the laptop still felt adequate. Over the week or so I’ve been using this laptop, the battery life is decent. I can get through a day of back-to-back Teams meetings along with some Excel and Access work with about 20% battery life remaining when it’s time to pack up (note, I intentionally keep the screen very dim to achieve this on all my mobile devices). Certainly a good battery, especially for a 16-inch laptop but nothing remarkable. Copilot+ is embedded in all aspects of this device and I was impressed with how quickly I was able to generate answers to questions of many varieties. One thing to note on this device – the fan can get a bit noisy which, at first, startled me a little as my “main” computer is from a different manufacturer, runs a different OS, and has no fan. Final Thoughts: I would say this Dell is a decent value for its price point and capabilities. If I had the chance to choose over again, I would probably go with the 14-inch even though it’s the same price. This laptop is solid, but also large and when on the road, real estate in a backpack or briefcase is precious. Overall, I think most people would find this laptop perfectly capable of performing everyday tasks. If they offered this laptop with Windows 11 Pro at a similar price point, I would say it has a lot of potential.

The Dell Plus 2-in-1 16" Touch Screen Laptop is the first laptop that I have had that has had built in AI capabilities. Key AI features include things like Copilot AI Assistant. You can use it to help with tasks like summarizing documents, drafting emails, and offering suggestions. It can generate real-time subtitles for any audio for meetings, or videos for social media. It can enhance video calls with features like background blur, automatic framing and more. The cocreator tool can assit in image creation and editing visuals. I plan on using it at my board meeting this week to take notes and sumarize the meeting notes. The laptop itself has a 16" touch screen, is full high definition, and can be used in different modes: laptop, tent, tablet, and stand modes. It has (1) HDMI 2.1 port, (1) USB Gen 1 Type A, (1) USB Type C port, (1) Thunderbolt 4 port, and (1) Headset Jack. The laptop is made very well. I like the backlit keyboard and the numberkeyboard. It seems like it is very well made and will last a long time. The only downside I see is that it is a little on the heavy side weighing in at 4.52 pounds. I have not tested this - but it says that the battery can last 21-24 hours. I hope I never have to work for that many hours straight to find out - but it would be nice to have a machine that you can rely on. This is another beautiful Dell product that I look forward to having for many years to come.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Performance and Value I recently purchased a Dell laptop, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my experience so far. The setup was quick and user-friendly, and the laptop runs smoothly with fast startup and reliable performance. The display is crisp and clear, making it great for both work and streaming, and the keyboard is comfortable for long periods of use. I also appreciate the solid build quality and sleek design—Dell really balances durability with a professional look. Battery life has been impressive, easily lasting through my daily tasks without constant charging. Overall, this laptop delivers exactly what I needed: dependability, speed, and great value. The Dell Plus 2-in-1 is a fantastic choice for anyone, particularly students or budget-conscious professionals, who need a versatile and reliable laptop without breaking the bank. Its standout feature is the 2-in-1 design, allowing you to seamlessly switch between a traditional laptop and a tablet for note-taking, presentations, or entertainment. Powered by a selection of modern Intel Core Ultra or AMD Ryzen AI processors, the Dell Plus delivers solid performance for everyday productivity. It handles web browsing, streaming, and office applications with ease. The impressive battery life—often lasting over 15 hours on a single charge—is a major highlight, ensuring you can get through a full day of work or classes without needing to find an outlet. The laptop also boasts a comfortable keyboard, a responsive touchpad, and a sturdy build quality that feels more premium than its price tag suggests. While the performance and build are strong, the Dell Plus 2-in-1 does have a few notable compromises. The display, while a 2K resolution on some models, can be somewhat dim and lacking in vibrancy compared to higher-end laptops with OLED screens. This might be a dealbreaker for users who prioritize vibrant colors for creative work or media consumption. The audio quality is also a little flat. Ultimately, the Dell Plus 2-in-1 is a great value proposition. If you need a dependable, long-lasting machine that offers the flexibility of a tablet and can handle daily tasks with speed, it's a solid choice that's hard to beat at this price point. Just be aware of its display and audio limitations.
