    It's a good gaming monitor but after a few weeks of use the hdmi started to fail. Dell did a very good customer service and they sent me a refactored one.

    **This is not a negative review of the monitor itself, but rather the packaging and delivery.** My monitor came in two random cardboard boxes taped together, as opposed to the original monitor box. I opened the box to see the stand broken off from the monitor, and the monitor itself was cracked in multiple places. Two stars because the people at my local best buy were eager to give me a refund when they saw the monitor. I'd recommend buying new from Amazon.

    I bought 2 of this model. One has blinking issue but not consistent. The customer service can't help. Be aware of this problem before you make the purchase.

      Thanks for your review. Please note that S3220DGF is a FreeSync2 monitor and is NOT G-Sync Compatible. If G-Sync is enabled on that monitor, issues such as flicker, blanking, etc could occur.     Ports went out within 2 months had to return, hopeful the new brand one works better as this one was out of stock.

    The monitor is okay. The backlight bleeding on the one I received is really bad. I will be exchanging for a different monitor.

    So the display port on this monitor died in about 6 months. Otherwise the picture is good, the HDR is OK but that is the case on most monitors, especially with the Windows implementation and Gaming. Over HDMI your capped at 60Hz and no HDR, which basically renders the main purposes of this monitor useless. To say I am displeased would be kind. This has just confirmed that I should avoid Dell at all cost.

    Not the best for next gen consoles

    Not fully compatible with 1440p resolution (getting ugly green ghosting) and the monitor I got had backlight flashing.

      Thank you for your valued feedback. We apologize for the trouble you have had with your Dell Monitor. Below I have provided steps to run the built-in diagnostic test for your monitor. I have also given you a link to the User's Guide. On page 52, you can find the instructions for the diagnostic test.

      To run the built-in diagnostics:
      1. Ensure that the screen is clean (no dust particles on the surface of the
      screen).
      2. Unplug the video cable(s) from the back of the computer or monitor. The
      monitor then goes into the self-test mode.
      3. Press and hold Button 3 for 5 seconds. A gray screen appears.
      4. Carefully inspect the screen for abnormalities.
      5. Press Button 3 on the bottom of the monitor again. The color of the screen
      changes to red.
      6. Inspect the display for any abnormalities.
      7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to inspect the display in green, blue, black, white, and
      text screens.
      The test is complete when the text screen appears. To exit, press Button 3 again.
      If you do not detect any screen abnormalities upon using the built-in diagnostic
      tool, the monitor is functioning properly. Check the video card and computer.

    Poorly Boxed

    I’m not sure how this passed as an “excellent open box” item. Packaging was torn, missing display port, and usb cable. The stand, and the back of the monitor were all scratched up. It even had a bunch of finger prints on the display! I ended up returning for those reasons and because it was bigger than I expected. Get a 27” if your desk isn’t huge or you will get dizzy while gaming.

    I’m not into pc gaming or pc for anything. I was surprised to realize after I bought this for my son that there are no speakers attached?! Couldn’t see it noted anywhere, is this common in pc monitors? I just assumed there would be sound when I paid as much as I did for a monitor.

If it is not specified in the description you can usually find it in the frequently asked questions. This model does offer a headphone jack for the ability to plug in external speakers or headphones.

    Curved is Not for Me

    I wanted to like this monitor, the image is solid. I needed a single larger monitor to WFH as my desk isn't large enough to support two good-sized 2K monitors. Sadly, I don't care for the curved experience at all and how it distorts the image. I'll be returning this in a few days.

    Could be better

    I loved the size of the monitor and that was about it. I had to return it because there was a lot of flickering going on during games and I tried everything I could online to fix it but nothing worked. I actually exchanged it for an LG ips monitor that was about the same price and it runs circles around this Dell.

      Setting the resolution in Windows 10:
      1. Close all open programs.
      2. You can either right click Start, and then click Control Panel or click on start and type Control Panel and click the icon that appears.
      3. In the Control Panel window, click System, and then click Display.
      4. Select the monitor you want to change, if more than one is connected to your PC.
      5. Click on the Resolution drop down box to see a list of recommended resolutions for that display.
      6. Click on the one you want, to change the screen resolution, and then click Apply.
      7. Click on keep changes if you want to keep the new settings. If not select revert.
      - Note: If new settings do not work, Windows® will attempt to revert back to the original settings automatically.
      8. Restart the computer to ensure that the changes stay in effect.

    If torn between this product and Samsung G5 I would go with the G5. This product is fine but the G5 has better a much better curve than this Dell Product. The G5 is also cheaper than this Dell product even when its on sale. What you loose in Hz with the g5 you gain in other features.

    Monitor Failed

    Monitor worked great for 6 months. Then the Display Port socket started loosening, and my screen began to flash. A few days later, a dead pixel appeared. Returned and exchanged for a different monitor. Overall I worry about it's longevity.
