Love the size, features and picture quality!
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.I bought three of these monitors to replace my triple screen setup which was previously outfitted with three 27 inch Dell S2716DG 1440p G-sync monitors. In summary, this monitor is a nice upgrade from the S2716DG because of the size, features and picture quality. First, as to size, there is definitely a difference going from 27 inches to 32 inches. I wonder how I lived without 32 inches, I cannot see myself going back. So, 32 inches is not too big, its perfect. 27 inches for gaming is too small IMO. Second, this monitor has all of the features I want for PC gaming, including 1440p resolution, which is perfect for this size monitor. This monitor also has Freesync adaptive sync technology, which helps smooth the action by syncing the GPU and monitor. The monitor also has a refresh rate of 165 hz (164 hz in the Nvidia driver), which also helps smooth out the action, particularly when you are at or near 165 frames per second. Speaking of adaptive sync, although this monitor is not officially G-sync compatible, it nonetheless largely supports G-sync technology if you are using an Nvidia GPU. I say "largely" because I have noticed some flickering with G-sync enabled that I never had with my S2716DG monitors or my Alienware AW3418DW, both of which have native G-sync support via a chip inside the monitor. Also, the HDR on this monitor is quite good on my PS4 Pro. The whites are quite bright, without being washed out, and the colors are rich. GT Sport, for example, looks incredible. An added bonus is that by enabling HDR on the monitor, my PS4 Pro is able to transmit and the monitor receives a 4K signal. Very cool. HDR on PC, however, is generally weak. I tried Shadow of the Tomb Raider in HDR on this monitor and the colors were muted and I saw too much gray compared to SDR, which was much more vibrant. HDR in Windows also apparently causes flickering in some games, for example iRacing and Shadow of the Tomb Raider when I am running in Nvidia Surround with G-sync enabled. In summary, HDR is a perk if you are using this monitor with a PS4 Pro, but I would not get your hopes up regarding HDR if using this monitor on PC. The monitor has a DisplayPort 1.4 port, plus two HDMI 2.0 ports. I bought three DP 1.4 cables to use because I had read about flickering issues when people used the included DP 1.2 cables. I question Dell's decision not to include DP 1.4 cables, even though the monitor supports it. HDMI 2.0 is good, that is what is needed for 4K on PS4 Pro or your Xbox One X. The OSD is quite good, similar to other Dell and Alienware monitors I have used and owned. It is very easy to scroll through the menus and make adjustments. And finally, the picture quality of this monitor is superb. The VA panel produces rich, vibrant colors, at least in part because of its 3000:1 contrast ratio, which is much higher than the 1000:1 contrast ratio we typically see on TN or IPS panels. I love deep, saturated colors and so I used the OSD to crank up the Saturation. Very cool. Text is sharp, although not quite as sharp as what I see in my Alienware AW3418DW monitor, which of course has an IPS panel. In summary, this monitor is great value, even at the regular price of $449. I was able to get a price match down to $360 when the monitor went on sale at Best Buy. Definitely buy with confidence!

So happy!
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I have been waiting a long time to upgrade to a monitor like this! I am not a competitive gamer but I am no noob either. I built my own system which has a 4.3 GHz stable overclocked i7 and GTX 1070 Ti. I feel that since high end GPUs like the 2080 Ti struggle to push 4K over 100Hz reliably, that 1440p is the proverbial "sweet spot" for screens under 40 in or so. I normally play games like Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Mass Effect and the occasional Battlefield when it comes to AAA titles. I played blu ray dvds of Tron Legacy and 300 and it looked fantastic. The darks and contrast on this panel are a clear upgrade to my old 24 in 60Hz Asus IPS and 43 in Samsung tv that I was using. If you are looking to play FPS (shooters) or be more competitive then I recommend you look at 24 to 27 in monitors with 240Hz+ refresh rates. Whatever you decide, I wish you the best of luck!

10 bit color, HDR, 1440p and 165hz!
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I'm in love with this monitor. the colors are very nice, response time is 4ms but I can barely notice any ghosting. I order a display port cable 1.4, the one that came in the box is 1.2. My old monitor was Dell S2417DG G-Sync 165hz 1440p and 1ms. Did some calibration myself, here they are if some one like to use it: On the monitor: Presete Mode: Standart Game Enhance Mode: Off FreeSync: On Smart HDR: Desktop Response Time: Super Fast Dark Stabilizer: 0 Brightness: 74 Contrast: 76 Sharpness: 60 On the NVidia Control Panel: All channels: Brightness: 45% Contrast: 57% Gamma: 1.07 Red: Brightness: 40% Contrast: 72% Gamma: 1.07 Green: Brightness: 45% Contrast: 50% Gamma: 1.07 Blue: Brightness: 50% Contrast:50% Gamma: 1.07 Digital vibrance: 55% Hue: 0 I hope this works for you. thanks for reading. Definitely for gaming...
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. Before I get started, I wanted to say, there was a reviewer on a website that didn't believe all the positive reviews for S3220DFG, if you read this, don't waste your time reading this, go buy it, then come back and read this, then write your positive review... and now to the review. Definitely not for sitting to close: Had this monitor for three days, tested/played Battlefield 4, Witcher 3, the original Grid, Splinter Cell Double Agent, Tomb Raider Under World, Max Payne 3, MXGP Dirt Bike racing with a i7 4770k and rtx 2060 super, my frames per second did not alter one bit from my usual fps on my 27" monitor, that should be noted for those interested. Let me tell you, this monitor is a beast. The games really shine on this work of art. The price to performance is just, honestly, you won’t find better for what you get. Speaking of what you get, a Display Port 1.2 cable is included. Go to Amazon and pick up the “cable matters” 1.4 version because I heard 165hz won’t be achievable on 1.2, didn’t bother trying to hit 165hz with the included cable. There are many screen display options which are a nice addition for those that like to tinker. Do not get this monitor if you cannot sit at least 3 ½ to 4 ½ feet away. The curve may induce a little dizziness and sitting to close with too much brightness may induce bright spots in your vision, scary but that’s the price for sitting to close for some. Some websites actually say to sit 5 feet for 32” but I think that is pushing it. Another website says 1.7 feet and that is just absurdly to close. I had to return this awesome piece of equipment because my desk is small and I’m sitting 2 feet from the screen, So it's back to my ACER XB270U, it’s noticeable smaller at 27” but I still appreciate it for what it’s worth, will miss the extra screen real estate though. I'm not sure why but i needed to resize windows 10 to about 150% in display settings, fonts are noticeable smaller on this too. Also, I had to zoom in for web pages with the CTRL button and mouse wheel. It should be noted that this Dell supports other resolutions sizes too, including 1080p for a nice touch. Also, $399.99 is a steal. Dell will definitely have me as customer in the future. By the way, this was my first Dell anything and it was a nice experience. Lastly, my purchase date was 7/27/2020 and I received this 7/29/2020, not sure why BB.com says 7/29/2020 for a purchase date, that was the delivery date.

Excellent gaming monitor *chef kiss
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. When this came out I couldn’t believe how little they were asking, $450 retail and I just scooped it up on sale for $350. I have a RTX 2080 in my build and I’ve been playing Modern Warfare exclusively on this monitor and holy smokes is it dope. 32” curved display looks beautiful on the desk 1440p gaming resolution is where it’s at 4ms response isn’t 1ms but I can’t tell the difference from my old 1ms monitor Being g-sync compatible is awesome HDR is dope for movies and certain games too! Only complaint is, it looks too good that you get distracted in competitive games looking around. Lol 5/5 would buy again

A gamers must!!
||Posted .Owned for 7 months when reviewed.Bought this monitor November 2020. Review is July 2021. First off this is the first curved monitor I have had. It is also the best. Keeps everything in eyesight and you don’t notice the curve during gameplay. It’s really got a great picture as well. Got this one for gaming and got another 24 inch regular dell monitor for chat/discord that way I can keep the game up but interact with chat and friends while playing. Then I added the 82 inch tv on a wall mount to finish off the setup. This is a must have and I really love the quality build this has. I would definitely recommend if anyone is looking for a good gaming monitor with a great refresh rate to get this monitor. It moves up and down with ease has a area for wire management in the stand as well and even tilts a little so you can get the right view for your needs. I actually bought two of these one for me and one for my wife’s gaming computer as well. It is worth every penny. You do have to adjust the refresh rate in settings. It comes preset on 60 I believe. However I don’t really play fast paced racing games so I set mine to 120 refresh rate. It’s nice to have the option to bump it up if I ever play a game where it’s needed though why not. Hopefully this helps you make your choice on monitor. I don’t really review much items I purchase but a friend was asking about monitors so I looked back at what I purchased and figured it deserved a review. Never have had any problems with picture quality or any malfunctioning at all. Don’t throw $600 out for a monitor because you think you need it. Check the specs and compare a lot of times a little tweak in the specs isn’t worth another $250 more then what you get with this monitor. I would recommend and Honestly will probably pick up another one of these in the near future.

Gaming monitor for a good price
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Got this monitor on sale for $349.99. It pretty much checks all the boxes of what I was looking for in a gaming monitor to pair with my 2080 ti. 1) I wanted high refresh rate of 144hz. 2) I wanted HDR. 3) I wanted QHD (2560 x 1440). This monitor has a pretty decent review on https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/s3220dgf. The stand it solid and has good height adjustment. I have tested this monitor only with the few games I'm playing at the moment on PC which is Destiny 2, Dauntless, Forza horizon 4. They all look and play great. Good placement of the OSD button controls with easy to use menu. No dead or stuck pixels on the monitor I purchased. I highly recommend this as a buy. Especially if you can get it for the sale price of $349.99. It would probably work great as a xbox or PS4 monitor, although it's not 4k, I believe it looks better than my 4k Samsung monitor in gaming since it was only 60hz.

Excellent work/gaming monitor, gsync compatible
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This monitor is excellent all around for gaming and work. I haven't had a large curved gaming monitor before, but in comparing this to my TV, the color and calibration out of the box is quite good. A bit of technical stuff: If you're looking for a compatible gsync monitor, this one works with no problems now that Nvidia lets you enable Gsync with non-Gsync monitors. I had to buy a 1.4 DisplayPort to Mini-DisplayPort cable in order to hook up to my laptop for 1440p 165hz gaming. HDMI will only do 144hz and the displayport cable in the box is only 1.2. Okay, back to nontechnical: It's quite sturdy on the base and can elevate/rotate/angle up or down for good viewing. If you're used to smaller monitors, you'll enjoy be able to snap multiple windows in different halves or quadrants. It really makes work much easier. I got it for $450 and now it's on sale for $330. It's a steal at that price IMO. I'd buy another if my desk was larger. Definitely recommend!

Q: QuestionHow can I use G Sync on this monitor?
Asked by King.
- A:Answer King, there are a TON of articles and how-to's on how to use G Sync with a Freesync or Freesync 2.0 monitor. Here is a very helpful guide on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/ag6a9f/how_to_enable_adaptivesync_freesync_if_you_have/ For this specific monitor, you need to bring up the OSD (On Screen Display) which is enabled by pressing the buttons next to the power button (bottom right side of monitor). You need to navigate through the OSD and turn FreeSync to "On" and then enable "G-SYNC, G-SYNC Compatible" from your computer in the NVIDIA Control Panel. Follow the instructions within the link I provided above. This monitor is Freesync version 2.0 which allows for HDR (High Dynamic Range) gaming, streaming, etc. content. Freesync 2.0 also has a wider adaptive refresh rate range, compared to a monitor with Freesync 1. This means Adaptive Sync will work better when your FPS drop in a game.

Q: QuestionWhat is the top height of the monitor at the lowest adjustable height? Is it the 24.3 in the specs or can it go lower? Also how much height adjustment is there?
Asked by MTChief.
- A:Answer Lowest point I got was 18.25 inches, highest was 24.

Q: QuestionHello, I have a few questions I'd like to ask. Are there any issues at all using one of the latest NVIDIA GPUs? How does text look on this monitor? And of course, how does Battlefield V, or any FPS game look on this monitor? Thanks everyone!
Asked by LadyG.
- A:Answer I have a 1080ti and needed to use CRU to change the freesync range from 48-164 to 50-164 to prevent it from blanking sometimes. With that resolved it is a beautiful screen.

Q: QuestionWhat is the weight of the monitor without the stand? Asking for mounting purposes
Asked by LionelE.
- A:Answer Hello! Without the stand, this monitor is 16.82 pounds.

Q: QuestionDoes the computer have a webcam and speakers?
Asked by Bridget.
- A:Answer No, it doesn't have either. I wish it had some speaker for doing video calls, but I would avoid embedded video cameras because you can't change it when the technology becomes obsolete, compared to a slime Webcam. It has an Audio in and out for connecting a speaker of your choice.

Q: Questionwould this monitor be good for counsel gaming like on a Xbox etc. and is a curved monitor better for gaming ?
Asked by andynoburnin.
- A:Answer Since XBOX One supports Freesync, this would be a good monitor to use with the system. However, keep in mind you won't see FPS higher than 60 on the XBOX One usually, so 165hz is very overkill. Though since the XBOX Series X will support 120 fps, this could be a good monitor for future proofing. As for curved being better for gaming, that's a subjective matter. I found it to make the game a bit more immersive, but I know others who find it to be a pointless gimmick.

Q: QuestionDoes this come with a 3 year warranty from Dell? The bestbuy site says 1 year, but dell's site says 3. There is a 1 year advanced replacement, is bestbuy just showing that part and not saying 3 years?

- A:Answer The Dell S3220DGF monitor comes with a 3-year warranty.
