This laptop exceeds expectations and for this price, well worth the investment! The 4K screen is crisp and watching movies on this particular laptop really is different from a regular 1080p panel; pair that with Dell's Cinema software on the laptop and you got yourself a good screen to watch movies on. Outside of entertainment, this laptop does perform well in terms of editing and rendering capabilities. The fans do kick in when performing very heavy tasks, but that is expected. Outside of the initial install and update, I don't typically hear the fans if I am doing lighter tasks such as typing a document or browsing the web. The battery life is okay; I have seen better life spans, but expect this because of the 4K screen. If you want a longer battery life and can sacrifice screen resolution, I would recommend going with the 1080p version instead. I am glad Dell decided to move the Webcam back up to the top of the screen (the previous version, had the camera at the bottom) so that my viewers don't see my nose while I am on a video conference call. The footprint of this laptop is also pretty small and light weight. This makes it easy to carry it around and use it outside of the house. The back lit keyboard is helpful for night time use. This laptop does retail for over $1500, but you get a good processor, screen, and memory. The on board SSD helps substantially with boot time. I bought this laptop while it was on sale at Best Buy and was able to save a couple hundred dollars. I've owned this laptop for 2 weeks now and I am quite impressed!

This is a great laptop for school. 4k screen for watching movies or tv shows between classes. Its very good at multitasking because it has a icore7 and 16gb ram. It is also touch screen so it's faster to touch the screen than trying to use the trackpads. Overall it's a good laptop

Bought this laptop for the forsee able future: something to last for years to come. Was not disappointed with the build and quality of this machine. Dell has come a long way over the years in perfecting the purists laptop.
