The quality of this computer struck me as soon as I held the box. The packaging itself was a preview of what was to come. I don't mean just the aluminum case and sleek appearance, but the little details. There is a small light on the front edge below the touchpad that illuminates when the computer is plugged in or turns amber when the battery is low. The end of the power cable that plugs into the computer also has a small light on it so you know that it is getting power. The texture of the carbon fiber area around the keyboard has a much nicer feel than the usual glossy plastic. All of these things made an impression on me as I initially set the computer up. The screen is virtually bezel-less so you get every possible inch of real estate for viewing and it is bright enough that I can type this with an open window behind me at mid-day and have no difficulty seeing anything on-screen. I also appreciate the feel of the backlit keyboard. The keys are firm enough to avoid inadvertent keystrokes and the rebound is almost instant.. Performance is as expected from the components used so I won't bore you with technical specs. I will say that I streamed YouTube uninterrupted for 10 hours on a full battery. You'll want to be aware that the ports are all Thunderbolt/USB C and it has an SD Card slot and a slot for a cable lock. Dell does include a dongle with an HDMI and a standard USB port in case you need to connect to a second monitor or an external drive. Overall I haven't found a single thing I don't enjoy about this computer and I enjoy having a laptop that looks and feels like it was designed for a business professional.
