The build quality is strong, aluminum body and carbon fiber interior, I would say that is even better than my surface pro. It provides great screen quality. Videos, photos and movies look great on it. It is fast and easy to use. It is also light and good for travel. I love how it can be used as both laptop and tablet. The battery last up to 8 hours (not the 12 hours that is advertise, however, this could be a matter of settings the power savings to the maximum, however, for a laptop, it is ok for me), watching videos, using the wifi with Netflix, Amazon, etc, and takes two hours to charge. I love the option to use your finger print to log in. Beside the fact that there is no visible or audible fan, the laptop doesn't really get hot like the other laptops I've used. Quick boot up. Power off to desktop about in few seconds (fingerprint scanner to sign in) Surprisingly good speakers, loud and clear. The other great advantage is the versatility of this computer, you can go from laptop mode to , tablet mode, tent mode and stand mode. Now, you will see that there are no full-sized USB ports and the computer does not have a a full-size SD card slot. It does have a USB-C port, micro-SD slot, headphone jack, and Thunderbolt 3 port. It comes with a USB-C to USB-A adapter. It comes with 16gb of mem and 256 SSD, which for me is perfect for what I do, either a tablet or laptop. However, something that I noticed while I was using this laptop, is that the touch screen function stopped working, randomly, so I used the Dell Support Assistant, and check all the driver and firmware updates. So I started downloading and installing the latest firmware version first, and then started to do the same with the video and audio drivers, and so far I haven’t had the issue back again. I highly recommend this Dell 2 in 1 Laptop, Great build quality, small, lightweight form factor, quiet operation, excellent video quality, and good battery life.

It looks and feels great, but this one was a dud. After setup I tried to go to a local newspapers website and it immediately got a virus. It didn’t make any sense since it’s a site I’ve been to a thousand times. I rebooted and it worked great, very light and fast and I thought it was a fluke. A week went buy and I went to use it and it booted up, but the screen was blurry and then it went dead. The backlit keyboard would light up, but the screen wouldn’t turn on. Dell’s technical support was tremendous, but they diagnosed a defective graphics card and said it was connected to the mother board. They offered to have it fixed, but I feel it might just not be meant for me after so many problems in only a weeks time.

If you have trouble with your computer crashing in the future you can follow these steps to diagnose the cause of the crash:
1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type "problem reports".
2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software.
3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly.
4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.

However, I had 2 in the last 2 weeks, the first had a touchpad issue and a soft "k" key, so I exchanged it for a new one. The second, also has a touchpad that is intermittent, inaccurate, jittery, now I'm taking it back today to see if Geek Squad can fix it. My Bluetooth mouse and the touchscreen works fine. The i7 processor has lag and seems slow at times, after reading other reviews I may opt for a different laptop. In the past, I’ve always been a PC person (I’ve built my own PC’s for years), but since 2011 I’ve had a Mac Air (for work) and this Mac blows away this Dell. I wish this Dell worked, I like the look & feel and that it’s a 2-in-1, but with the intermittent touchpad this is not usable without a mouse. Due to the poor processor, at best, this would be a 4-star laptop. However, being unusable with just the touchpad, I’m giving this 1-star. For the price, there are better options out there.
