One of the best laptops I've owned now. Its small and lightweight with very minimal design. Only supports 2 USB C ports that can charge the battery on either side of the ports. Will need a USB Dongle to plug in other devices but this was meant to be lightweight and slim so only having 2 ports was intentional. Touch screen is a nice and 1080P is more that enough on this 13.4 inch screen. This was meant for school/work for a quick grab and go while still having the workhorse of a powerful processor.

after updating many drivers it is running ok now, the weird thing is the power button located on the keyboard, when you use the laptop in tablet mode like 300 degrees and the keyboard is upside down I just cannot figure a way of turning it on after sleep, except for lifting the laptop from table and pressing power button underneath, it is very weird!! Except for this fact it is a nice and fast laptop.

This is the 4th XPS laptop I've tried over the years and while gorgeous, powerful, and sleek like the reviewers say, these are riddle with horrible quality control problems. Straight out of the box, I could hear popping and crackling in the audio as well as coil whine (which is much easier to let go). I ignored the popping for a while as I set my machine up and took a break. I came back to attempt to find a fix for the crackling (there is none, Dell just states it's a driver issue, but not one person in the forums had it work), and now my keyboard just isn't working. I went so far as to completely reset the machine and reinstall drivers all through the touch screen, and the keyboard still isn't working. This is my 4th and last attempt at getting something good from Dell. I understand not every product will have these issues but take a look around the internet and google some of the common problems to see just how many people deal with this.

I got this laptop 2 days back from the time I got it the keypad and touch board was not working. Only the touch screen was working. I contacted dell support they did some trouble shooting it worked for one hour again its not working. So literally such a premium laptop shelling out huge money I got a defective piece which I didnt expect from best buy and dell either. I have class on monday for which I bought this as I need to load some softwares on laptop and I got screwed up. My first order in best buy and definitely not satisfy order. Definitely not recommended .

      Jaikrish,

Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear about the troubles that you've had so far. If you need to re-calibrate your touchpad you can always follow these steps:

Some Notebooks and Tablets with Keyboards have added gesture features to the touchpad hardware and drivers. A few of these features are two or three finger scrolling, pinch zoom, circle zoom, rotate and swiping. These new features may be the reason for the erratic cursor movement since most are turned on by default. You can disable or modify the way the features work in the touchpad driver properties. Here are some tips to modify these settings:

      1. In the Search box, type main.cpl.
      2. Touch or click main.cpl in the list of programs.
      3. Touch or click the Dell Touchpad tab.
      4. Touch or click on the picture of the touchpad.
      5. Touch or click Gestures (depending on your computer there may not be a Gestures option).
      6. Change the options as preferred.
      7. Touch or click Save.
      8. Touch or click the X in the upper-right corner to close the Dell Touchpad Utility.
      9. Touch or click OK on the Mouse Properties window.
      10. If the touchpad still does not work after following the preceding steps, refer to Dell Knowledge Base article - http://dell.to/2iaiujA.

You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2tqmS02.

If you have additional questions about your computer you can check our Product Support Page here: https://dell.to/2s7RG9G.

Great laptop. Very fast, keyboard is great. Touch screen very responsive. Size is perfect for travel. Thin Bezel give you the most screen to body ratio. It has made me question why I have an iPad Pro.

At the sale price point it puts it squarely in the Surface Pro and iPad category (as well as many other small laptops and 2-in-1s); this machine is far superior to these tablets or other mini PCs. It is very well made, sleek, and blisteringly fast for most users (I would not do heavy graphics editing or any gaming on this one, you could go to Dell and spec it out though, they can fit a surprising array of hardware in this tiny footprint). Form factor is key here. I hold it like a tablet (which btw looks and feels amazing, the bezels on this even put the iPad Pro to shame, which is nuts), read journal articles and annotate with the digital pen (not included). When I need to type something on the article I just flip the keyboard around and go at it (the keyboard feels great for such a small device, or just in general, it has quickly become one of my favorite keyboards and I would put it up there with the Thinkpad and Surface Book keyboards which imo are among the best).

Again, another disposable laptop only because they had to solder the ram to the motherboard. Such a shame as it's well made, looks nice and could last years if it were not for this any many other notebooks having nothing upgradable with the exception of the SSD. I bought this as a replacement for my 7378 that is still working well, but getting a little wilted around the edges being a 2 core I7. But it works quite well with 32 gigs of ram. I guess i'm going to have to settle for something like the Inspiron series. heavier and not so sexy looking but at least upgradable. I can't see how Dell and the other guys are selling machines for sometimes over 1500 bucks that have no ability for ram upgrade. 8 is not enough now and even 16 will be pushing it if you do more than surf. I was able to get the 8 gigs of ram at over 80 percent usage without more than a few pages open.
