great computer for playing games or for everyday use

Looked around for all the reviews on desktop computers and it came down to HP and Dell. Dell won out in my case because of the of the added memory (16 GB) and it already had the optional " Optical Drive ". Being on sale also was an added bonus. Not disappointed. This was a purchase to upgrade my 7 year old computer.

Hard to compare since I have to learn Windows 10 as well. Biggest problem was the tech support from the Geek Squad in the Naples store are young kids that just really do not know customer service, and do not know their limitations. Classic, they don't know what they don't know. I had to go to the Best Buy in Ft Myers to fix the mistake made in the Naples store.

Worth looking into. Nice to have as much memory it does.

It serves it's purpose for my home use. Very quiet.

This computer is only worth buying if it's at $749.99, which is the price I paid for. First off, the 6th gen core i7 skylake is nice. Along with a decent 288 pin 16GB DDR4 ram at 2133Mhz. Hard Drive is ok. SSD would be best down the road. Graphics card is decent. NVIDIA GTX 730 2GB. Reason why it's a 4 star: 1. This computer comes with a mini wifi card that only support 802.11 b/g/n not a or ac. So if you have a dual band wifi set up at your house, you will only see 2.4Ghz. You won't be able to connect to 5Ghz. You would have to get either external USB "not recommended" or internal PCIe wifi card that can take a and ac. 2. If you're looking to modified the computer. There's only x4 and x16 slot lane available on the motherboard. The slot x16 is down low toward the bottom of the box, which is difficult to put any graphics card because you won't have room for air circulation for the card. Therefore, realistically, you can only run 1 graphic card on this PC. Which means you will have to swap out the GTX 730 with something else. Along with the power supply. The power supply on this PC is working just enough for what it has. So if your new graphics card demands more wattage, you will have to upgrade your power supply as well. Also, there is 4 slot total for the RAM. So technically, down the road, you can get yourself a nice DDR4 288 pin RAM kit that can go up to 64GB. Other than that It's pretty much a good buy if the price is at $749.99 or lower. So based on the spec, if you think it's good for what you do, it's a good buy. Like I mentioned previously, I would get a new wifi card so it can accept "a" or "ac". Other than that, it's a pretty solid computer.

Excellent hardware with Windows 10. Bought for a small home office. Because of the large number of USB ports, I was able to eliminate USB hubs. All my existing hardware is supported. Don't like the included antivirus/ firewall, but that's easily replaced.

I wanted to get a computer that wouldn't be outdated in 6 months. This new Dell had all the features that I was looking for. I've been using it for one month now and I'm very happy with it. It came with Windows 10 which is very user friendly!

I purchased the Dell XPS desktop without a monitor because I already had a dell monitor that had a built in camera and microphone however, the new computer was not able to read or find the camera or mic so I ended up having to purchase both and installing them on my monitor.

In addition to the new Dell I upgraded my internet from DSL to cable and the combination is awesome! I highly recommend this Dell, a new router & cable modem was also purchased at Best Buy which works extremely well with my computer.

I purchase the Dell - Xps Desktop - Intel Core I7 - 16gb Memory - 1tb Hard Drive - Black and for my office and is working great. I would have preferred a 2TB HArd Drive, but I guess I can always add one. Very happy with my purchase!

I researched beforehand and knew what to expect, fast and upgradable. Added 16gb of memory, added ssd and new video card and now this XPS really flies. Very happy with purchase.

This was an open box item. Dell had to remove the original owners information and reload all programs but then it worked fine. This was my first purchase on my Best Buy card and I did not receive 10% rewards. Still waiting.

despite the fact that this did NOT come with an instruction manual it was easy enough to get it hooked up and running. Enjoying the fast response time and never worry about having enough capacity to do gaming or detailed work
