Great game that definitely needed an update for the current consoles. I’m always a fan of the original for sure on ps3, but this is excellent. The graphics and a few added features will please most hardcore souls players. However it remains true to the original in every way.

First Soul game I beat. Best looking graphic on the PS5. I played Bloodborne, Dark Soul and Dark Soul 2. This is the first one to keep me playing. The others just felt punishing.

I'm a massive fan of Fromsoftware's Soulsborne franchise, but I was never able to experience the original PS3 release of Demon's Souls so the remake for PS5 was my first real taste of where Soulsborne began and I have to say I was blown away. Absolutely fantastic game while also being the single best looking game I've ever seen.

This game looks absolutely beautiful on the PS5. It is a must have launch title other than Spiderman. The gameplay is great and the levels are amazing. There is a performance mode that lowers the resolution and makes it 60FPS and a quality mode which makes the game 4k and turns up the graphics settings. I recommend the quality mode because 60FPS isn't needed in a game like this.

It takes a special game to define two different generations of consoles, but this game does just that. If you're a Soulsborne fan, this is the game that started it all. If you're looking for a challenge, look no further. Should you be looking for an action-RPG with some of the finest visuals of any game period, then this is it. You owe it to yourself to give this game a shot.

This is my first soulsboure game ever. I was only attracted to this game because of the graphics, but I ended up loving it. This style of game where you fight characters with no storyline and no specific objectives sounds weird but it's totally addicting. Definitely won't be my last souls game. Looking forward to Elden ring. Seriously recommend if you have a PS5

Beware of this game. I didn't know much about the Souls series prior to purchase, but I did some research. I read that the game is very hard, but amazing overall and worth the aggravation. I'm not so sure. For now I can't give it more than "Fair" two stars because after about 2 hours of playing I have no desire to keep trying. The Good: Graphics are amazing. Storyline is unique. Gameplay is fun. The Bad: It is hard. Not that this is bad in itself. The bad part is that if you die, you start the board over. To get back to the same spot you have to go through the entire board again. You can save your game halfway through a board, but even then, once you die you go back to the start. To make matters worse, your weapons slowly degrade over time, even if you keep dying. I lost my best weapon and my second best weapon is so worthless I am giving up. I might start a new game and give it another shot, we'll see. Bottom Line: if you like this type of challenge you will love Demon's Souls. Graphics are top notch. Gameplay really is fun. But it is very frustrating and boring to have to replay the same thing over and over.

I've played Demon's Souls on PS3 and I'm a huge Dark Souls player and I think this remake is definitely worth getting! The graphics are great and the controls feel smooth. It was great visiting these levels over and seeing where some of the inspiration for the later souls games came from and the enemies that made it over too!

If you're new to souls games then I would recommend this, it's a solid entry point.
