Yes, souls games are hard, but they are much easier if you go slow and keep your shield up. This is not button masher, you have to learn your enemies's moves. If you're like me, and you missed Demon's Souls but have played any/all of the Dark Souls games and enjoyed those, you're going to be happy with this one.

Best looking PS5 game but frustrating as hell to play due to difficulty. It supposed to be like that though if your a fan od Souls games.

This game is fun and challenging. There are many nuances for the game so you would be wise to follow a walkthrough like FightinCowboy so you understand the game. Otherwise you might be totally lost I am having a ball playing this after Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3.

very good, it feels like the old version but with a very noticeable improvement in the graphics. The monsters are seen in much more detail the worlds are more scattered in reality the only thing I noticed that the game was not as long as I expected but I still enjoyed it a lot

It’s a souls game… be prepared to struggle until you master the combat system and enemy mechanics. If you enjoyed Bloodborne or any other souls game this one is a must have. Even on graphics mode the game still easily ran at 60 frames and it looks incredible on a properly calibrated 4/8K TV.

A breathtaking remake of the original, with a few minor flaws. Several glitches in the game muddle the online experience, but the entire game is so fantastic to look at, it might be easy enough to overlook. This is one of the "must buy" titles of the PS5. It's most certainly difficult, but it's worth the ride and experience as you feel your heart thumping for what's around the next corner. Coming from someone who didn't play the original, this holds up in modern day quite well, and "feels" like a brand new game.

Priced right, delivered in a timely manner (a minor delay from original projection but I was kept informed regularly) and packaged well. Game was for grandsons so I cannot speak to the quality of play. They seem to be happy with it and do find it challenging as the other reviews have indicated.

I’ve been a huge fan of From Software since the 90’s, with their Armored Core and King’s Field series. I think I still prefer the original Demon’s Souls for PlayStation 3, but I’ll admit the gameplay on PS5 is much smoother.

Whew! If you love From Software type games this is absolutely meant for you! It’s gorgeous, the soundtrack is amazing and it has been incredibly faithful to the ps3’a original. If you want a challenge, and I mean the “git gud” type of challenge, then this is for you!

This is for my son. We were lucky enough to grab one of the PS5 Games. Our son has all the other systems, so wasnt sure which games to duplicate to Ps5. We were told for older kids , Demon Souls and Spiderman were a must! We purchased both! We will see on Christmas morning which is the biggest hit!

I've never played the original, but I'm familiar with demon souls 3 for the ps4. This one is slightly different but not in a bad way. So far I enjoy it. The gameplay is good, the graphics are great on performance settings. The ps5 does struggle on the higher setting, so I leave it on the lower one as I don't really see that much of a difference in graphics quality. All in all, the game is worth a try. It may not be for everyone, so have an open mind when getting into these types of games.

Game is beautiful and runs smooth…. Only problem is I never beat it because it’s too hard! But that’s not souls games are so I can’t complain too much because I know what I got myself into. This game is a must buy as the graphics and gameplay show the next generation console power

Fantastic display of the PS5 & the power it possess'. It is a hard game, but rewarding. Not for people who get frustrated easily.

A masterpiece remake from bluepoint games. Stunning visuals and challenging gameplay. Be prepared to die a lot but the satisfaction from victory is unmatched by other games. An absolute must buy for soulsborne fans and a great game for everyone else but you should know what you're getting into first.

bought game for my kids they love rpgs ... so far they said graphics are amazing and game play is good

It's definitely a challenge, but it's a rewarding one! This game takes you back to where the "soulsborne" games all started. I never played this one on PS3, so it's a great surprise to be able to go back to this one. There are some ways in which the gameplay feels timeless and others it feels extremely dated. If you enjoy souls games, this is a must play. If you haven't played one before, maybe start with Bloodborne or Sekiro and then after you fall in love with those games, circle back.

If you've been waiting to play Demon Souls, now is the time for you to get the game. I played the original Demon Souls on PS3 and gave up not too long in the game. Graphics of the PS5 and the 3D audio keep you coming back for more. The overall esthetics and look of the game just make it work.

Great game and beautiful visuals. I never played the original on ps3 but I'm loving the remake. Learn curve is steep but the reward for overcoming enemy's, obstacles and bosses is enormously high. I recommend for anyone who loves the souls and bloodbourne games and never played demon souls.

Excellent Remastered version of Demon's Souls. I have the PS3 version [Physical and PS+ Digital]. This game is even better than before. It is still hard, but the controls and reaction feel so much smoother. Great game. I am glad that I bought this Launch Title [No wonder Sony bought BluePoint].

If you haven’t tried the soulsborne series yet this is a great jumping off point cause this was actually the first game in the series but launched way back on the ps3 and Sony hired Bluepoint to remaster this timeless classic. I loved it and the gameplay holds up and man this game is gorgeous.
