I can’t really speak to the level of faithfulness to the original as I never played it, but stand-alone this game is so impressive especially visually. The only experience I had with From games was Bloodborne until this; playing through though made me become a huge fan of their games and appreciative of the DS trilogy too.

I finally bought & beat this title recently, and sure wish I did it sooner. It's a stunning remake and one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. It's my first Souls game ever and I know some folks say it's the easiest one, but it gave me a great taste of what to hopefully expect in February with Elden Ring.

A stunning masterclass of a remake. It’s hard to believe this game is 10+ years old. It has a sort of timelessness to it. This is thanks to the minor tweaks Bluepoint had given the game. It still feels like the original, but with some modern gaming nuances the industry has learned over the years. The challenge is still very much there. It looks gorgeous.

Amazing remake. Bluepoint did a stellar job remaking this masterpiece into a current gen beauty. The new controls are wonderful, the game isn’t too long, and the graphics are unparalleled. If you are a souls fan, then there isn’t a reason to pass this one up

Demon Souls is an outstanding game that plays homage to the original very well. It's incredibly difficult & can be extremely frustrating at times but once you finally defeat a level boss it's absolutely gratifying. I definitely recommend this title to anyone who maybe on the fence about purchasing this game if they've never played the original before.

This title is definitely a challenge so sit some time to the side to get good. Bosses battles are cleverly designed to almost be like a puzzle with a hint of fighting skills mixed in. Graphics are the cleanest out of all the PS5 release titles. Sounds in this game are well integrated and warn you when different enemies are about to strike. Great game!

Great game, but not worth 70$+tax. It's literally the PS3 game running under new visuals and soundtrack, with a few quality of life improvements. Wait for a sale

This game is good but VERY hard. If you don’t losing repeatedly don’t bother playing. However if you can learn from losing and are willing to persevere you’ll find the game to be very rewarding and fun to play through. A must have in the PS5 library

If you're up for a challenge, Souls games are where it's at! This is a beautiful remake of the original. Definitely worth your time if you've never played Demon's Souls the first time around. Any veterans of the series will enjoy the return, though don't expect anything new (at least nothing I noticed). Outside of some polish. Still, great game.

After giving this game a few months to leave an impression on me, I must admit, it drove me crazy. I loved every moment though and the graphics are insane. It is a great game to start the generation for any fans of the Souls games. If you want a challenge, that plays well, and looks stunning, this is it.

Awesome remake of a PS3 classic! I was waiting to own this and when I got it I fell back in love with Demon Souls! If you’re a fan, definitely pick it up! If you’re new, beware, this game will get your blood boiling!
