This is my first soulsboure game ever. I was only attracted to this game because of the graphics, but I ended up loving it. This style of game where you fight characters with no storyline and no specific objectives sounds weird but it's totally addicting. Definitely won't be my last souls game. Looking forward to Elden ring. Seriously recommend if you have a PS5

Beware of this game. I didn't know much about the Souls series prior to purchase, but I did some research. I read that the game is very hard, but amazing overall and worth the aggravation. I'm not so sure. For now I can't give it more than "Fair" two stars because after about 2 hours of playing I have no desire to keep trying. The Good: Graphics are amazing. Storyline is unique. Gameplay is fun. The Bad: It is hard. Not that this is bad in itself. The bad part is that if you die, you start the board over. To get back to the same spot you have to go through the entire board again. You can save your game halfway through a board, but even then, once you die you go back to the start. To make matters worse, your weapons slowly degrade over time, even if you keep dying. I lost my best weapon and my second best weapon is so worthless I am giving up. I might start a new game and give it another shot, we'll see. Bottom Line: if you like this type of challenge you will love Demon's Souls. Graphics are top notch. Gameplay really is fun. But it is very frustrating and boring to have to replay the same thing over and over.

I've played Demon's Souls on PS3 and I'm a huge Dark Souls player and I think this remake is definitely worth getting! The graphics are great and the controls feel smooth. It was great visiting these levels over and seeing where some of the inspiration for the later souls games came from and the enemies that made it over too!

Hard but good. Good but hard. Either way you crack it, this baby is both.

I can’t really speak to the level of faithfulness to the original as I never played it, but stand-alone this game is so impressive especially visually. The only experience I had with From games was Bloodborne until this; playing through though made me become a huge fan of their games and appreciative of the DS trilogy too.

Played some of Demon's Souls on PS3 back in the day, and didn't appreciate it at the time. But this remake is incredible! Loved the Souls games after (and Bloodborne), and coming into this game is truly an amazing experience. Beautiful graphics and sound design! Bluepoint did an exceptional job, (as they always do) and this game is a must buy for all PS5 owners. Buy it!

Amazing remake. Bluepoint did a stellar job remaking this masterpiece into a current gen beauty. The new controls are wonderful, the game isn’t too long, and the graphics are unparalleled. If you are a souls fan, then there isn’t a reason to pass this one up

PS 5’s beat launch game. Graphics are amazing. Game is difficult.

This game is good but VERY hard. If you don’t losing repeatedly don’t bother playing. However if you can learn from losing and are willing to persevere you’ll find the game to be very rewarding and fun to play through. A must have in the PS5 library

I finally bought & beat this title recently, and sure wish I did it sooner. It's a stunning remake and one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. It's my first Souls game ever and I know some folks say it's the easiest one, but it gave me a great taste of what to hopefully expect in February with Elden Ring.

Awesome remake of a PS3 classic! I was waiting to own this and when I got it I fell back in love with Demon Souls! If you’re a fan, definitely pick it up! If you’re new, beware, this game will get your blood boiling!

A stunning masterclass of a remake. It’s hard to believe this game is 10+ years old. It has a sort of timelessness to it. This is thanks to the minor tweaks Bluepoint had given the game. It still feels like the original, but with some modern gaming nuances the industry has learned over the years. The challenge is still very much there. It looks gorgeous.
