I bought this to use for my 3.1 or 5.2 setup; but having the options to addrional speakers. I am very disappointed on the “push” of the speakers. It is one of the higher 8ohm receivers that is affordable. Just wish it had more drive.

My local store had this as a open box demo unit for a very good price and it worked perfectly in concert with my central AVR-X4400H. Don't be fooled by the wattage claims. At best this is an 80W/channel mid-range AV Receiver but that should be fine for a small to medium sized room.
