Pros and cons
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For me it was the speaker calibration i did not like at all. Tried setting up atmos tower speakers for 5.1.2 and in manual cleay states must be assigned a certain way. When plugging in the calibrator assigning the speakers in atmos to front is not an option. After auto calibration had to go in and manually put speaker configuration for atmos in front and now calibration is gone. Roku ultra also only played in stereo had no issues with 2 other previous receivers with Roku but this one wouldn't work. As for xbox series x and ps5 the inputs work and offer all picture options. I returned to try onkyo 6100 when available.

A Timely Upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very simple, smaller and lighter than my old Sony Receiver. I got it to complement my new Sony 77" OLED TV because my old receiver did not pass through in 4K or higher. It made an immediate difference for me. I am still figuring out some of the details and looking forward to a big "movie night"!

Real nice receiver
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our second Denon Receiver. The first one we had for over 20 years and was still working great. We just felt it was way past time to update to a newer model. So far we are very happy with this one also.

Easy Set-up. Alexa integration lacking
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has all the features needed. Need to use separate HEOS and Denon apps for all the features. Audyssey MultiEq makes set up easy. You can't include the HEOS speakers in a Multi-Room Alexa Speaker Group. Hopefully they will update this soon.

Denon AVR-X1700H Receiver
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seems to be a mediocre product. Discussed during home visit with advisor prior to purchase. Examined planned location which is inside a cabinet. This is the system recommended. However, this item is operated by an Infra-Red remote which will not transmit though the door. So this item is inappropriate for the location. System was planned to operate speakers in two locations. While it will send sound to both locations, there is no control to operate "Speaker A, Speaker B, or Speaker A&B." Both must operate at all times. Denon could use a lesson from my last century Pioneer receiver. Overall disappointing.

Dont let them tell you wattage doesnt matter.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not enough power. Sales person said 75 watts per channelis more than enough but it just wasnt there. If you do this system expect to have to pay for better speakers for this to work well. I had to crank it up to 50% to hear as a normal lever. Save your money, get a Samsung Q series soubd bar. Way more power. I get booming high qualirt sound for a fraction of the cost of this system. This system just doesnt work well for the price. And yes... i did run through callibration. It didnt help enough to make much difference.

Posted .Hello, sorry to learn you were not 100% satisfied with the receiver. Our receivers are designed to deliver accurate distortion levels. Meaning the provided distortion level is accurate to 100% volume. Once the volume passes -1 or 100, for example (depending on how you have the volume to read), the distortion level will increase. It is pretty normal to run the receiver at 75% volume. If we can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. https://support.denon.com/

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice system, i am going to upgrade to add Atmos in ceiling speakers so depending on how many speakers you have you may want to go at least 2 models up

Receiver
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does not connect to my TV because during the test for the speakers which went fine. Then it would not connect to the arc. Because arc does not populate on this. Where you only can have coaxel or digital or analog. It's terrible, and I'm not sure what to do
