I had read another review which mentioned bugs and instability and that has been my experience as well. The subwoofer outputs will just stop outputting and cause the subwoofer to shut off. The worst issue is switching inputs causes the screen to go black for a second and then the volume becomes unresponsive eventually causing the TV to switch back to its internal speakers. Sometimes while watching TV it will power on the PS5 and switch over to it for no reason. I had tried a Yamaha before this one which did not have any of these issues and to my ears sounded a little better. My old receiver worked flawlessly but it just didn't support the newer 4k formats which is why I upgraded.

Posted .Hello, and thank you for your purchase. Sorry to learn that you are experiencing some issues. Here are some helpful tips. Be sure that the receiver is connected to the internet. Check for any possible firmware updates. HDMI cables must be Ultra-High-Speed. It is also a good idea to activate HDMI control on all devices, including the receiver. Set up>Video>HDMI setup>HDMI Control. If your Television is 8K, set the HDMI Upscaler to Auto by selecting setup>Video>Output settings>HDMI Upscaler. If further assistance is required, please contact support by visiting https://support.denon.com/.
