    I purchased this to run another zone of speakers in my home (for the patio). The speakers were already installed and all I had to do was connect them. The install was not difficult as I let my kids (16 and 12) set it up and no they are not super computer nerds. All they know is I turn on the computer and it works. They simply read the instructions and were able to install with little to no assistance. The connectivity is good and works well. My only gripe and the reason for the 3 stars is the HEOS app which you have to use. This my not be relevant to the actual product however in order for you to use it you must have this app. I use this fairly regularly and when I do it always changes the settings on my receiver. I'm not sure why but when I switch between this and the zone for my receiver it does strange things. I always end up having to manually change the input on my receiver when I turn on the TV when it used to just go directly to cable/SAT input. I will say that this thing does not turn off or I guess it does not. It has a blue light on it that stays on. I noticed it does not get too hot even though I have it in a cabinet. Not sure how long it will last. Overall, the product is alright but as I mentioned before, the HEOS app is not that great. I would research other wireless systems prior to purchasing this one. Maybe the networking app is better. I'm not naming any brands cuz I want my review to be taken for face value. I'm not a competitor and I am a genuine reviewer.

    Find something else if you want both A/V.

    Purchased this unit with hopes of connecting my Apple TV 4 via Bluetooth. In fact, the biggest factor in my decision-making process was to find an amp that had integrated BT so that I save myself the hassle of an HDMI-optical connection. Well, after getting everything connected I started up a basic movie via iTunes and found that there was about a 2-second delay between the actor's mouths and the dialogue coming out of the speakers. Tried everything to solve the issue but all I was left with a disclaimer on Denon's site that there will be a delay due to the digital compression, or something like that. I inevitably switched out my Apple TV 4 to 3 and had to purchase an optical cable to get the audio to work...which it did. Funny thing is that our internet went down and I quickly found out that the until would not work at all. Because I have to use the HEOS app to switch between signals and do basically anything else, without the internet the unit and my phone would not communicate. There is no manual input switch button on the unit, although a volume and mute button on the side but are tough to use considering they are inset. In addition, why wouldn't they include a power button is beyond me as it just sits on all the time! All this said it does work but it is not as easy one would expect from an expereiced company such as Denon. Simply stated it is too reliant on the app and the internet.

    This amp is okay, so I returned it. Do not buy this amp if you are looking for high-end sound and features. For the purpose of wi-fi streaming and wi-fi multi-room sound, it would be adequate, as long as you aren't looking for audiophile quality and power. It says 200w, but it kept going into protection mode when I turned up the sound. Also, it doesn't have a display. You can't tell what setting it is in without looking at an app. No physical controls, either.

    Amazing Sound Quality - Only Minor Issues

    Once I got it setup, it was very easy to use with my other Denon products via the app. With the app I can now play different music in different parts of the house. As far as issiues... App only works if you are on the same wifi network. The Amazon Echo Skills haven't caught up to being fully voice activated with Alexa - only able to control the volume.

    I purchased to provide music, sports and news on our patio and porch area. This unit powers 2 outdoor speakers with plenty of power. The best feature is being able to select the source or music channel from my iphone from anywhere I have wifi access at home. I bought a second unit to place in my shop to listen to news and music while working. Good value!

    I really didn't need or want a complete surround sound system. That is why i compromised with the components selected. The team who installed everything were extremely professional, knowledgeable, & helpful.With that said, it would nice someone could make a followup visit to ensure i am getting the full benefits of the equipment installed.     can not figure out how to get FM radio to play...can not figure out how to turn on my Zone 2 speakers...have to work this from the app on my phone...that's not good...don't like it at all...seems like i have to turn it all the way up to get good volume

    This amplifier out performs any others we’ve heard including Sonos. The app makes utilizing our homes built in speakers so easy. We are extremely pleased with this product. We also utilize a Denon amp for our home theater room and we are extremely pleased with it as well.

    I now have 3 amps . 2 for inside home and 1 for speakers at pool. Love the flexibility to have different music playing different genres in 3 different zones or all on the same zone!

    I bought 3 Denon Heos amps for 3 different rooms in my house. 2 of them came defective and couldn't be connected by Geek Squad and had to return them. I'm waiting for the replacements now... tbc
