Futurist beauty
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beach House's 2nd top 10 album "Depression Cherry" is a 9-song hypnosis that sounds like a cross between the heady guitar & keyboards fireworks of classic My Bloody Valentine and the rootsy Gothic balladry of prime Mazzy Star. Victoria Legrand's vocals are a wonder; it's hard not to be moved by "Levitation," "PPP," or "Bluebird."

May cause drowsiness
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this is a great album, much like the first. Very slow and dreamy, not for those who fall asleep easily. If you loved the first album, this is more of the same.

Dreamy late night album
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Altho the lyrics are incomprehensible the overall mood of this album is of the dream pop variety, you'll get swept away by the vibe. And beautiful velvet cover!

Yet another superb effort
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beach House turns in another tremendous work, this one perhaps most reminiscent of their debut, strange as that may seem.

It's so fuzzy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This album, unlike previous Beach House releases has taking me a few listens to get into. Teen Dream and Bloom I instantly liked, Depression Cherry I'm on my third or 4th go around, and it's starting to catch on, but I'm not feeling it as much as the first 2 CD's. Some people will probably love the CD case, I personally am not a fan, it's a fuzzy red velvet case. The CD is in a cardboard sleeve in the case, and I had a hard time getting it out. Def going to put the cd in a spare jewel case.
