I'm a D1 player that has played the console and PC beta and this game is looking good and playing like a dream (especially on PC). The story campaign appears polished this time around and the gameplay is as great as ever. Get hype! Let's go!!!!

Unless you're willing to buy the expansion pass ($35-$50) and put in many hours of grinding the same levels over and over again to get the best possible gear, I'd recommend giving this a pass. There is no major difference between this game and the previous in the franchise. Sure, there might be minor improvements in gameplay and the graphics are better, but I was expecting much more. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I won't be giving Activision a third attempt.

I really liked the first Destiny and wanted to pick this one up as well. This game is great. Really fun to play and more and more opens up as you progress through the game. It's really fun to play with friends and I highly recommend it.

The game follows suit with the first game in many different ways. It is a fun first person shooter, but it has the same repetitive game play as the original.

This is a great game, I only gave it 4 stars because I had a bad experience with the preorder bonus. Some places you got a code for the exotic they advertise, and others you get a code for that and a bonus ghost shell. Not all editions are the same, but I suggest the deluxe digital edition. The story is pretty interesting and the gameplay is worked out a bit better than the previous game.

I think the game is personally worth the money for the campaign alone, but as an avid player after doing everything mutiple times on every character and getting all the gear sets and exotics I wanted, there already became not much to grind. I haven't been a fan of the pvp changes personally either. Once the game receives some QoL changes like the first one did it will be worth it to play again, but in its current state it's not worth investing heavy amounts of time into.

I picked this up to raid with my buddies and it is a blast. The visuals are gorgeous and everyone's favorite smooth talker, Nathan Fillion, steals every scene he's in. Honestly Bungie outdid themselves with this game. It's so good!

Destiny 2 offers a better story and a lot of nuanced changes from the missteps of the first game. There are a few steps backwards in the sequel (no options on crucible modes, strikes, etc...) but most of the changes are in the right direction. This game feels more like it was righting the ship vs sailing to a new experience. It's fun, plain and simple and should be played with friends.

Better plot, graphics, and new sub classes! Worth checking out for the campaign alone. Has a ton of replay value with raids, strikes, and multiplayer PVP.

This is a fun little shooter that has refined issues in the prior title. If you enjoyed the first game it's a no brainier pickup. Best played as a group.

so having 817 hours devoted to the first game, i was more than excited about the sequel. while the game has been made more approachable to newcomers, veterans will be disappointed by some changes. overall, still a great game.

Huge improvement from Destiny 1. Very good story, The crucible is a little boring, but it's still a great game :-) This from our die hard gaming son!

I feel this game was very good in terms of storyline and customizations but it did get a little confusing at times and still is. I do recommend this.

This game is definitely an improvement over the first destiny game. It has a lot of similarities, but I think the story is better and more cinematic.

If you played the first game, you know what you are getting here. However, this one contains a story and a much more expansive world. Also, be prepared for the loot grind. It's very real and less forgiving than the campaign.

I purchased this game for my son for Christmas. I had read many reviews and it appears that the game is awesome! I have played the first one and it wasn't my cup of tea but I'm sure I'll have fun playing this with my son.

Great game with friends, but more of the same. So if you hated the first game this won't change your mind. Does look very nice on 4K tv and PS4 Pro

Some of my friends picked this up, and I had little interest in it. I picked it up only to play with them. It's certainly a lot more fun than I would have imagined; and I haven't gotten to play much with them as of yet!

The game does have sharper visuals and is an improvement from the original. The story is better than original because it actually has a plot. Some levels are repetitive and many can get stuck just fighting in front of the base and think that is all in level design. The game is more of a social experience. Rent it 1st if you are on the fence. Cause it's a time sucker.

This game is a blast to play. It is different from Destiny 1, on how you rank up your characters. If you are new to D2 and never played D1, I would recommend watching some videos to help you at the start of the game.
