This Destiny is what the first one should've been: good story, better weapons, easier map interface and matchmaking are just some of the improvements made in this game. Definitely grab it.

Let's be real, this game is repetitious, yet we all continue to go back. Gameplay is fun, wish they brought back some features from the first, but alas, we all must move on, right?

Did you like Destiny? If so, you will like this because it is largely more of the same but with numerous quality of life enhancements. The game looks good visually, controls very well, and has a nice progression with gearing up. The story is still not very good but they did a much better job with it in this game compared to the original. If you like FPS games, this is a good one to get, but if you don't or didn't enjoy the first Destiny game, you can safely pass on this one.

This is a game that does take many hours to beat especially when you focus on building your soldier up. A lot of the sequences do wind up being repetitive. I like the fact that without ps plus I was still able to join the random group fight/defense team. I felt like I got my money worth with the amount of time and effort I was able to put in the game. The latter part does get harder so there are frustrating moments and that's what makes his game really good.

I loved destiny 1 but felt it was lacking on the end content. Destiny 2 feels more of a complete game at launch and has a pretty good story. Would recommend to anyone that enjoys fps

Destiny 2 fixes the big mistakes of the first game by delivering a strong and exciting story mode that Bungie used to deliver with the Halo games. Its fun, funny and exciting all around. Collecting gear is also overall much easier than just an enternal grind. Great for newcomers as well!

With Destiny 1 I stopped playing fairly shortly after reaching max 'standard' level. The systems in place weren't very intuitive and ultimately not very fun. Destiny 2 does a good job of improving nearly everything from the original. It's possible to gear up pretty quickly at endgame and then that leaves you with a fairly limited amount of things to do each week. Not that this is a bad thing as I don't wish to slave away for many many hours weekly, just an observation.

I am constantly struggling to find fun games to play with my wife. It seems that the industry (aside from the Switch) has gone farther away from the multiplayer model that I grew up with, but Destiny 2 is definitely a step in the right direction. If you played the first Destiny, it is more of the same. [/s with the amazing addition of more microtransactions] However, if you are looking for a good multiplayer game (you will need another console because couch co-op has went the way of the dinosaurs) then this is a strong choice, as it allows you to play through the campaign and not just PVP and raiding that is present in other "multiplayer" games.

This is a great improvement to the first game! The story is better, the gameplay and character building is better/more streamlined, and they have a lot of content right off the bat.

Destiny 2 takes all that was good in Destiny 1 and adds much needed elements like player campaign and multiplayer improvements. The expansion packs and DLCs are great too

Destiny 2 improves upon the original Destiny in so many ways from the gameplay to the story. There is however more of a focus in the sequel on microtransactions than in the first game. The thing that they really get right about Destiny 2 is that it's fun to play and the loot drops have been turned up. So far i'm loving this game but there are still some weird holdovers from the first game that sadly didn't get removed. Highly recommended for the casual Destiny fan.

If you enjoyed the first game you know what to expect here. The game looks and plays great. Plenty of guns to look forward to. The campaign is way more interesting than the first.

I bought this to play online with friends that I rarely see. Its fun and it looks good but I guess I feel let down by it. I expected more for my money.

I remember playing Marathon on Macintosh computers back in school computer labs. I remember when Steve Jobs introduced Halo on the Macintosh almost 20 years ago. Now that Bungie has separated from Activision, I can't wait to see what they come up with next for next-gen consoles! If you like shooters and always-online MMORPG-like content, Destiny 2 is a great swan song that improves on the first Destiny in many ways.

Not a significant departure from Destiny but that is not a bad thing. Great control and graphics, solid story. First person shooting mechanics are solid and all weapons are fun.

My friend got me into the first one and I got this one and like it just as much if not more. I'm looking forward to what else they bring to the game and add on to the story.

Destiny 2 continues very well from the first installation. With a better story, better mechanics, and more things to do, this game should continue the great Destiny legacy.
