Customers frequently mention the enjoyable gameplay and improved story and voice acting as significant strengths. Positive feedback also highlights the campaign, content variety, and attractive price point. While some players noted a reduction in grinding compared to the previous version, this was a less frequently discussed aspect. The game's action, weapons, and controls also received praise.

Game plays bassically the same as the first destiny game, but with a better story and quest system. Destiny 1 had a good combat system, but was plagued with repetitive missions and no story to make things more interesting. This game improves on the first, but well see in the months to come if this game can hold up for the long haul.

As you may have gathered from the title, I haven't spent a lot of time with this yet. It came free with Spider-Man. Still, having played and loved Destiny, this seems like a solid continuation of the story and gameplay. I don't think you can go wrong, especially not when you can get it for free via several outlets.

    Destiny but better!

Spectacular sequel to a sometimes troubled cluster of development in the previous installation. Just about every single aspect of this game is improved over the original. If you at all enjoyed the mechanics of Destiny 1, then you'll love Destiny 2 because it actually has a story (in the game!) a better gear system (still grindy but this time in a good way) and the same game mechanics that made Destiny stand out as one of the best shooters in gaming. Buy it!

I was a fan of the first game, although I do acknowledge the many flaws. This game however is much more coherent in its story telling. It gives you the background that the first one lacked while making the Cabal the fearsome fighters you were told they were in the first, but didn’t really pan out. Much better effort all around.

A marked improvement over the first, with a better story and gameplay. That doesn't mean a whole lot when the game still falters in the same aspects of the original. The same repetitive grind and mission structure with very little variety is still here.

    Destiny 2 Upped the Ante

I wasn't going to buy Destiny 2 after playing Destiny 1. Although it was easily addicting, I could never acquire the best endgame gear because I'm a solo player. Destiny 2 really upped the ante and catered to solo players. The sequel is less confusing and spells everything out for you and you never need to use 3rd party apps or websites to matchmake. I love how the Destiny franchise listens to the community and gives people what they want. Very impressed!

The game feels like what Destiny 1 could have become. Its very fun and while people might pick out things they dont like this game very much keeps you busy with missions, quests and endgame content that I am going to purchase it for pc as well. The graphics look great a step up from D1 and I only expect better from the pc release.

Despite the some of the negatives, I thoroughly enjoy Destiny. Enjoying the improvements to the game with Destiny 2 and the new locations we get to go to. Haven't played Crucible yet, though.

If you played the first Destiny, then you'll be more than aware that it loses it's luster after a few days. Though some DLC did improve on it, Destiny 2 only further improves upon the original formula. Definitely a fun game, and a lot more fun with friends. With multiple ways to progress, you'll find something that works for you.

Destiny 2 is a definite improvement over the first. The raid is amazing with friends but good luck beating it with randoms.

Great role playing and adventure, have to build up your character and also weapons. Will recommend to have friends that play also as you will need a group of people to do bigger and better parts of the game suchs as raids. Although they have implemented raid pairing. But would have to work well with other people and hope they have a headset. Which can be frustrating and pointless if the team Is not involved.

Destiny 2 is all about progression. if you like loot-driven games and first-person shooters, there is a good chance you will enjoy this game. most of the game is playable solo, but you will need a group of friends to play nightfalls, raids, and trials of osiris. all in all, the game is a fun way to unwind after a long day.

The game gets bashed a lot and for good reason. It needs to return the gun system to the previous one in Destiny 1, it needs to have auto matchmaking for nightfall strikes and raids. Outside of that every complaint is not valid. Destiny 2 still has GREAT gameplay and shooting mechanics and builds good worlds and lore.

Played Destiny 1 and enjoyed, so had to pick up Destiny 2. My dad and I actually play(ed) the campaign together and we both thought the story was awesome! The only issue I see with Destiny isn't the grinding when you're leveled up and beat the campaign - it's that the campaign in both games are just... short. Perhaps I'm needy and want a Bethesda length type game each time, but I always wish there was a little more to these stories. We just started the expansion a day or two ago - went through 4 missions - and I have a feeling we're already close to the end of it (haven't looked it up online to see how many missions total, 'cause I don't want the spoilers.) Was also a bit disappointed, Destiny 2 contains almost all the same "enemy" as the first - would have liked to see a new enemy, other than what they did - create a new faction of enemy that are exactly like the others in the game, but black, blue, and smokey/flaming... A little bit of a bummer, but not enough to keep me from playing it! :) I'd recommend this game for anyone who is into fast-action, universe-oriented, grindy-type games. It's a decent buy.
