This continues on from the first in story but the game play is far better & refined.

About 20 hours worth of non-repetitive gameplay. Looks promising.

Honestly, if you compare vanilla destiny to this one you can see the massive improvement it has. The story is a lot more better and more complete (definitely longer too) than destiny was. Now, the downside to this game is that it’s still a tad bit short, and a ton of dlc too.

New to gaming and its been 20+ years since I was active so to play on a new PS4 I was blowed away.

I love destiny always, but I wish the story was more detailed. But new missions are always a plus.

I enjoyed the first Destiny a bit more then this one but I still had fun with D2. I haven't played it recently but Apparently the game has more content now and Bungie has made many improvements... might go back to it

Destiny has the best shooting, the best looting, and the best massively multiplaying out there. Imitators like the Division and Anthem don't come close. If you are interested in Destiny 2, you would like Destiny 2. However, the base game is going free to play soon, so for the love of god, don't buy this, just wait untill it is free and buy the expansions.

Better than the first, not alone in graphics. Better story line, better play through.

I tried this game out because they're basically handing it out for free to anyone who will take one. (PS Plus included it as a 'free' game recently, and I got three free copies from Best Buy with the purchase of other games.) It is a very pretty game, but after playing for a couple/few hours, I realized there just wasn't anything I liked about it, so I quit. The game lets you create a custom character, but then it forces you to play in first person, so you rarely even see your character. I don't like playing in first person that much anyway, but when so much of the "rewards" aspect of the game goes to customizing your character, why would they make it so you don't even see your character during most of the gameplay? This is a perplexing choice to me. If I could have chosen to play in third person, I might have liked it more. Even if all you're interested in is single-player content (like me), the game requires a connection to the server, which means that you have to have good, reliable internet, and it means that whenever the Destiny servers eventually get shut off, the game will become 100% unplayable. Probably because this game is focused on multiplayer, you're not able to customize the difficulty. I reached a point where I couldn't get past a certain enemy, and that's where I stopped to realize that I wasn't enjoying the game at all and quit. If I'd been able to set it to an easier difficulty setting, maybe I'd have pressed on farther. My brother loves Destiny, so it obviously works for some people, but it didn't work for me. The fact that they're giving the game away like Halloween candy to try to convince people to buy the expansions tells me I'm not the only one who feels this way about it. If you're not super-duper into FPS wild blasty games (methodical sniping was not an option at all for any of the content that I got through), think hard about paying any money for this game.

I was skeptical about the sequel after playing the beta, but decided to play Destiny 2 since I did enjoy the first game overall. I was pleasantly surprised that I could play a ton of the game WITHOUT Playstation Plus, and with it I was able to do even more. Good story, lots of loot opportunities, and a plethora of different things to do. Highly recommended if you enjoy shooters with RPG elements!

Waited after it’s release for it to go on sale since I knew it would drop in price for the holidays. Love the game and bungie. Time to catch up on all the fun!

The base game at its core is better than the first, with a slightly better campaign. The expansions are still overpriced for what they give you, and the way they lock updates behind the expansions is frustrating. Still a decent game to play but it has potential to be more.

This is played by my son who loved the first one and is a great game. I only gave it 4 stars because, while he likes it, it is very similar to the first one... so far. Will continue to play and update review as we go... but it is worth getting regardless and most esp when on sale!

To me there is no different from the first version if you loved the first you will feel the same

This game was fun, exciting and challenging. The raid part of the game will be fun.

the gameplay has improved. there still is some repetition in gameplay but much better than 1. game environments are immense and detail oriented, especially if youre playing on ps4 pro. there should be more options for MP, especially because you cannot select the type of mp game mode.

Destiny 2 - PlayStation 4 is a huge improvement over the first installment in my opinion. Improves on everything wrong with the original and keeps all that you loved from the Taken King. I highly recommend this game if you were fan or even on the fence about the franchise.

I got this game for a crazy crazy good price during bestbuys flash sale things and I couldn’t pass it up, my brother has the first one so I figured I’d get the second one and it’s a pretty awesome game, good story, very good playability even after you finish it and the characters have very good designs to, if your into shooters and adventure games this is the one to get
