Deciding if you want to pick up Destiny 2 can be answered easily. I feel if you enjoyed the first one or want a solid FPS with MMORPG-lite elements then Destiny 2 is a solid choice. In my opinion a lot of the gripes I had about the first one were remedied (shotgun in pvp and upgrading weapons and gear most notably). Yes, after the main story and you hit max level, it does turn into a grind but it is one that is enjoyable in the same vein as Diablo 3.

Better story than first one and same solid gameplay

Highly enjoying the new and revitalized story plot. It still has all the same fun elements as the original game, but they've greatly improved on a relate-able story line. Multiplayer raids are still just as fun. Graphics are improved, new weapons, new levels, all a major plus. Overall, lovin it.

If you're a destiny die hard then you need this game. The graphics are awesome with a great story line.

Some elements are a little too much the same as the 1st one. I would have liked new enemies in this one rather than updated materials on the old models. The ai is pretty awesome and some of the old but new enemies are definitely more aggressive. Story has drastically changed from the original with a great twist.

Destiny 2 is an improvement over its predecessor in every single way. Unfortunately, the endgame activities aren't many and can get very old too fast and you'll reach you max lvl cap (Power level) in a blink (305 at the moment this review was written). Anyway, the game is very fun and addictive while it lasts.

This game is an all-around improvement to the original. I loved the original when it came out but it seemed more trial & error from the beginning. That's absolutely fine and I love that Bungie has listened to it's fan-base and criticisms and built off of it all. They've revamped the story and expanded the lore into something much more enjoyable. They've kept the solid game mechanics and built in new and balanced game design to really bring everything together and focus on the player and their experience. Team and Group play is greatly focused and it's never been easier to play together with new players or old-friends. Best of all, it's a solid solo-play game and has more than enough content at launch to keep casual to moderate gamers satisfied. I went ahead a bought the expansion pass after the first week because I was so impressed at how polished and well-planned Bungie have rolled this sequel out. Well-done. I'm looking forward to what else they bring.

If you appreciate great graphics and a decent storyline then this is the right game for you.

This is a great sequel to a game that really did not hit its stride until 2 years into its life. However, big warning to solo players in that while there is better accessibility to end game contact playing solo, the game is still very much a game to be enjoyed with a group of others. Highly recommended.

If you've never played Destiny before its base a combination of a 3D shooter, throwing some RPG elements and place all of us in the open world and you have destiny 2. Features Crucible which is a PVP or team-based online multiplayer mode or play through the single-player story and grind to level up earn better gear Etc. Good Sci-Fi story and ties into the original Destiny 1 with the return of most characters. Go for it

Awesome continuation of the first Destiny game! Lots of action and lots of cool gear/weapons!

Phenomenal graphics, fluid motion and so far the game play is fluid and the story is good!

So far, Destiny 2 has been a welcome upgrade from the first. Gameplay is the same style, but story and content is more expansive, and will hopefully stay fresh a lot longer this time around.

This game has pleased my son greatly. The graphics are stunning and the story is engaging.

I had purchased and played Destiny when it was originally released....Loved the game but it seemed that you got to a point where the game was useless as the upgraded items were impossible to obtain without sacrificing my marriage. I opted to not pick up Destiny 2 at launch as I was worried that the new version would still be plagued with the same issues which makes it not worth the 60.00 initial price tag. When Best Buy put this game on the deal of the day for 6.99 I felt like it was worth taking a stab at this game as it is definitely worth the 7 dollar price of admission. I've been able to play the game for about an hour or so by the time of this review and I can say without a doubt it is worth the price to play...The game runs smoothly, Good Story line (So far), and fantastic mechanics. Overall this is a good game and is worth picking up if you can find it at 20 dollars or under.

I didn't play the original but the game was always interesting to me - RPG elements but FPS. The graphics are amazing, controller wasn't hard to get used from a mouse/keyboard primary perspective. I was surprised how fun the game was, feeling very reminiscent of the fun aspects of Diablo for me.

This game has a lot more distinct environments & a much more fleshed out story mode than the first game. That said, it still gets repetitive, and I wish you could play the solo campaign offline. I don't like solo campaign content being tied to an online server that'll be brought down one day.
