Customers frequently mention the enjoyable gameplay and improved story and voice acting as significant strengths. Positive feedback also highlights the campaign, content variety, and attractive price point. While some players noted a reduction in grinding compared to the previous version, this was a less frequently discussed aspect. The game's action, weapons, and controls also received praise.

This game is old now and this edition doesnt come with all of the DLC. It's fun until you run into a paywall. I can't complain much because the base game is so cheap now. If you like MMO's and playing one game for a very long time then go ahead and dive in.

I was not a huge fan of the first game even though I wanted it to be great. I enjoyed this game immensely. My friends and I have been playing it off the hook, its fun if you have the time and friends online. I could see people not enjoying it if they are just looking for a single playing game.

I didn't play the first, but am enjoying this one. I'm not very deep into it, but it does seem a little light on content (as other will point out) and a bit grindy. My biggest complaint is the poor matchmaking - it could be a lot better. Definitely worth the $30 GCU deal I got it with.

I played the original destiny up through the Taken King. Jumping into destiny 2, I felt like not much has changed. Sure new story, enemies, voice actors and locations. But its more of the same and no carry over in terms of items and gear, which i found disappointing. The customization was also identical as the original when u create a charactee. Gameplay is still fun but I see it failing to hold me over long term. Definitely best to play with friends. For the price I paid, this game us definitely worth it.

This game is not bad. It's just not good either. It uses nearly ALL the same assets, and world pieces from the first Destiny, including all the same enemies (The good designs, and bad ones. I'm looking at you taken). It's less like a sequel, and more like an apologetic retry, at 60$ a copy. The story is trite, and major plot points are either glossed over, or completely undone within minutes. Lose your light! Your human now! 5 minutes later, you get your light back. That was so intense! The gameplay is good. Which is understandable since the gameplay in the first game was good, and it's basically the same game. Again, controls are good. It's kind of hard to screw up standard FPS controls now a days with so many games that all use the same control scheme. The music is good-ish. I mean, it's good music, but whoever was the musical director apparently didn't know where or when to put the music into the game. So situations where there is nothing going on(no enemies, no battle), have these huge orchestral musical moments. And then there are times where your in an intense firefight and there is no music to be found. Just really inconsistent and somewhat distracting. There definitely is a lack of things to do in game though. After you complete the story missions (an average time of around 10 hours or so) all you have left are the strikes and raids and unless your like doing the same 6 strikes over and over, and the 1 raid your pretty much done. I realize I haven't touched on the pvp aspect of the game, and that's simply because I don't play it. I find most competition pointless. I play games to have fun, and I don't find that aspect fun, so I don't do it. Over all, the game is good, but not great. It reuses WAY too much of the original Destiny, and honestly I walk away feeling less like I bought a new game, and more like I got an expansion. If your looking to buy, either wait for a price drop (30-40$ seems about right to me) or when the inevitable 'Game of the Year' edition comes out with all DLC pick it up. Odds are you'll have 3-4 new strikes and 1-2 more raids. The content will justify a 60$ price tag, it just doesn't justify it right now.

I would recommend this game to anyone who has ever played the first destiny, especially those who have beaten the entire destiny collection. It really is more of a continuation than anything just with slightly better graphics and a few other minor changes that you will definitely notice through out playing the game. The only truly bad thing I have to say about the game is that it just feels as though it's so much easier to play through the story missions even alone rather than that of the the first destiny. I just sometimes feel thats a let down but at the same time makes it a lot more enjoyable rather than getting frustrated playing the same missions over and over until you finally beat them. So definitely would give this game a chance especially if your a big destiny fan !

Bungie has done again with this game. This first person shooter is an excellent game. The action is frantic, and there is so much to do. They have added numerous missions to accomplish after the completion if the main story. The only issue that I have had with this game is the raids. There is no matchmaking for the raids, so you can only play the raids if you have a private team of 6 people.

While some fans were disappointed, I was still super excited about Destiny 2’s release. Although the main story can be beaten in less than 12 hours, it still provides a sense of accomplishment as you start from scratch and fight for your guardians light. Although there is a slight lack of end game content, the daily and weekly challenges will have you coming back for more every time.

The improvements to this game and inclusion of a story line this time around have made this a daily play for me. I enjoyed the first Destiny, but never really got hooked. The shooting mechanics implemented by Bungie are still top notch and a blast to play. I greatly enjoyed the deeper insight into our motivations this time around and am excited to see what comes with the expansions.

Destiny 2 has a LOT of content. Let me say that first. In fact, most of it is very, very fun content. The late game content will require either patience for matchmaking crowds or some footwork to find teammates to take on the raids (which I recommend as one the more unique experiences I've had in a shooter), but the 60 or so hours up to that point can be done all by your lonesome. That said, there is a hard cap to things you can do and see. Destiny pitches itself as a massive online experience, but the areas just aren't anywhere near the size of an MMO like the marketing would like you to believe. Also, the "loot" that they go on about is rather restrictive compared to other popular games that tout loot as a feature. That's more of a fault of poor communication, but definitely know that once you've seen it all (and it's definitely possible to do so), you're better off walking away until the next DLC pack trickles out.

I was already a fan of Destiny 1, a great co-op (most of the time) first person shooter RPG. Destiny 2 is a lot more of the same, but now not only does it look prettier, they also added a fully realized story mode to the game, which was probably the weakest factor in Destiny 1. I am playing this game in co-op with my buddies online and we are surely having a great deal of fun.

I never played the first Destiny but I am a huge MMO fan and loved Halo. If you love FPS style games and the MMO experience of open world, public events and building up your character and having the power to customize the style and attributes, this is your game! It's best to play this one with friends though, since the grind of MMO is just as real here once you finish campaign.

The sequel takes the parts that made the first game great and improved them just enough to make them feel new and better. As with Destiny 1, you can get through the story fairly quickly, then the game begins with it's rotation of raids, strikes, and daily quests.

I wasn’t much for the first Destiny. So far though, Destiny 2 is doing it for me. I’ve been playing it quite a bit along with Call of Duty. I could even see someone liking D2 more overall. But if online multiplayer is your main focus for a shooter, stick with COD.
