Bought for my 12 yr old son and he loves this. Great challenging game. He loves the PvP, changing armor, campaigns, weapons and venues. Highly competitive and challenging but fun and engaging at the same time.

Not a halo fan, but this isnt halo. It is a good mix of shooter, rpg, mmo and has enough features to keep me coming back. If you only do the story or freeroam it will get repetitive but with the raids and the multiplayer it keeps you entertained. The freshest pvp I have played in awhile. I was worried it would be a halo clone or cod clone but it was niether and it was fun. I had a big smile the first time I won a control match in second place only minutes after getting introduced to the gameplay. Only 4 stars because you must have online to play and it is leaned towards the 3 player run through. I like solo play but I understand what they are trying to do.

Niw to be fair I really liked playing through the story and this game is good. I wish that the co op was a little better and there was a better end game. I just found it repetitive after hitting max level and finishing the story.

I purchased the PS4 for my brother for his birthday. And I am beyond happy since I've become the best sister in the world LOL. He is obsessed with his PS4 and plays it from morning to night. It's a bit crazy with the amount of time he spends playing games on the PS4. But overall I am ecstatic with my purchase.

As of release week, there is not much content as it will be released slowly over time. I have managed to reach the level cap in 2 days and started to farm for gear which is a lengthy process. It still keeps me entertained however, the strike missions do get boring as you see the same maps over and over again. Loot doesn't get collected from the bosses and PVP items drop randomly even for players that do absolutely nothing so you can do nothing and still get better gear than the top player that works his butt off. Not too big of an issue but I hope it changes in the future. Now I'm just waiting patiently for more content to come out, cant wait!

This game received so much hype. The graphics are great and so far the story has been good. The two major issues I have with the game are 1. each level in the story mode is like a short mini mission. You go into a level and fight off hordes of bad guys and then you get to the end of the level and fight off even bigger hordes. The levels are short and you can usually do that in about 20 minutes. The cut scenes before each level are usually of the ship you use to travel to different levels and some talking. Then your ship zips off. This game would've been amazing if they had better cutscenes and if the levels didn't feel like mini missions.

The newest from Bungie is a great effort, lots of awesome gameplay, lots of fun, even when playing the same things over again. It stays fresh. Multiplayer could be a little better, matchmaking suffers.

This is a good game that didn't take any risks. The campaign is decent and can be very wild and fun at times, but it their isn't a ton of variety in what you're doing. Finding/purchasing new weapons is just okay - it's nothing like Borderlands in that regard, I was hoping for a bit more. Multiplayer is fast and furious but not complex. You kind of have to be leveled up in order to be effective and some types of guns are useless in multi. All in all it's a pretty polished shooter that has basic RPG/MMO elements but it's not as deep as I would have liked. It's more marketing/flash than substance but still a solid 4/5 for me.

It's from Bungie, the people that made Halo! That's all you need to know, right? Well, it doesn't yet live up to the Halo series, but could surpass it, depending how the rest of the game shapes out. It moves from the scripted, set-piece style of gameplay that Halo was known for, and trades it for a more open world/MMO style of gameplay. The moment to moment focus isn't as good as Halo, but the game feels huge in scope. And of course, because it's almost like an MMO, it means that the game isn't close to being done yet. More balance changes, content, and expansion packs to come mean that this game will evolve over time.

I have this game on the PS3 and I love it. So when I got the PS4 I wanted it badly, but I refused to pay $60 for it again. I was very happy when I saw this on sale for $19.99 and with my Gamers Club was able to get it for even cheaper.

The game is amazing. The story can be beaten in a day but after the story the game unlocks harder strike modes and raids. The game forces you be social and find other players in order to do heroic missions and raids. There are very few ways of communicating to strangers. Subclasses actually feel different and need to be played differently. The loot system is set for each person and rewards items at the end of matches. However the loot system also screws you over on legendary items by letting them be identified as only rares. (3 out of 3 legendary engrams turned into rares) The caters towards hardcore and casual players by setting a few weekly limits and having events on certain days.

I really liked this game because there was online coop play that didn't require having to talk to work together. not a big fan of the chat as people are not very nice... i.e. with the excessive language. This coming from a crusty Soldier from multiple deployments...

A game with so much potential, yet held back by an awful story and repetitive gameplay. The only positive aspect of this game is the mechanics and rpg aspects.

Thus far, it has been fun to play. Gameplay is excellent, but the story for single player could be stronger and better elaborated. I'll update as I progress in the game.

I LOVE THIS GAME! Me and my 2 besties have been having a blast in destiny! So many different activities you and your friends wont get bored anytime soon. The game looks stunning, the attention to detail and lighting is second to none! I don't even like FPS, but this game at least does it well. I would still prefer over the shoulder or third person, but for what it is i think its the best. You can make a party (fireteam) and do ANY activity together without regrouping! Go do some of the story mode, do a little free roam to collect materials, do some PVP matches, to name a few, all without leaving your party! One of the best integrated CO-OP experiences I have had.

What was all the hype about? I beat the game in about 20 hours of gameplay and didn't even realize it due to it's extremely poor storyline. The multiplayer is lacking many typical multiplayer elements and is very repetitive and boring. The storyline levels are capped and do not increase so, you're stuck with the level they start out with. This causes a very poor replay value due to the fact that your character levels up but the game levels do not. There are items that you collect through the game that have no value and you cannot do anything with them but drop them. I think this is the worst game so far for the new gen consoles. The only positives are it's smooth and clean graphics.

Destiny is a great game with great graphics. You are able to travel around different worlds and team up with players from around the world. Definitely a good buy.
