Great Game, Especially If You Love Single Player

The game could have used a better ranking system for multiplayer. Also, I really wish there was just a system for matchmaking. The ability to be able to just pick a playlist and find a game just like Call of Duty and Halo would have been much nicer. However, if you like single player games more than multiplayer, this is a game for you! It is most definitely a nice change of pace from the typical FPS game, though. Overall, still a good game. 8/10.

Graphics are great, story is good but gameplay can become repetitive. Looking forward to see what dlc they release in the future. Catch this title on sale like i did and its a good buy.

This is definitely an extremely well thought-out and fun video game, Bungie has definitely made a game that will lead the way for future Multiplayer Online First Person Shooters, definitely worth buying!

It's an interesting game. The multiplayer is very imbalanced. Bungie did a great job on Halo's multiplayer but they messed this one up. The part I like is the co-op play with friends on missions, strikes, and raids. There are 3 types of guardians and it would be advisable to get one of each. Loot drops are more rare than Diablo 3 and Borderlands so that gets a bit frustrating. Despite that, I keep finding myself playing because the co-ops are so much fun with friends. The expansion packs are so little that it is not worth the $20, and even less if you have either Xboxs. It's a good game for when there's a sale for $40 or less. Not worth $60 to me.

    Great Multiplayer, Lousy Campaign

First the good: The Person v Person multiplayer is awesome. Really solid action and some diversity in play type. Also, if you like hooking up with friends and just level grinding the same enemies repeatedly with no story, then this is great. There are some big enemies to kill that require teamwork. Gameplay is solid, controls are perfect and the Game looks beautiful. As for the bad? The single player experience in this game is a disappointment from start to finish. There is barely a story, held together by monotonous exposition. There are very few cut scenes, with only a little to string together why you go to different areas. And the game just decides to end, with practically no resolution to the paper thin story. Levels repeat themselves over and over. You will fight the same enemies in the exact same places throughout the entire game. You will also play the same levels repeatedly, just with a different objective. The enemies are th same and will be in the same places. Loot is rare and random, so you could fight for hours and walk away with nothing. Summary: If you are looking for a fun multiplayer experience for PvP or a new Horde mode with friends, this game is great. if you're in it for a single player experience, don't bother. It isn't worth the money.

If you are going to play this game, then make sure you grab a buddy or two. You'll have a lot more fun going on strikes and completing missions with friends then on your own. Otherwise, the worlds you explore can feel very lonely and sparse. Enemies for the most part are not aggressive and are just push-overs and as a result the game feels a little too easy. They can get tougher when in large numbers or when they just take so many hits to kill. Your weapons feel very generic, but they also feel way more overpowered then any weapon the enemy has. The main reason is you can dodge their slow moving bullets but they cannot dodge your shots, which travel almost instantly to the target. I've only got through almost have of the game, but already the story is very bland or non-existent and the gameplay repeatedly consists of traveling to a destination and either defending it from waves of enemies or taking out a boss. I feel like I've already seen all there is to see on Earth and the Moon, and both "levels" felt very small and shallow. Haven't tried PvP multiplayer yet, but it looks very standard. From my experiences on playing this in Beta, other players were already extremely competitive and I had a hard time getting a kill. This is coming from a Halo/COD/Titanfall veteran. I'm sure with practice I can keep up, but I just wasn't interested it in as much as other multiplayer shooters. Still overall it is fun, mainly with friends. I'll definitely aim for completing the game and reaching max rank (which is only 20 surprisingly). Unfortunately, I don't think Destiny has enough to keep me captivated in its world for very long.

First off the gameplay and gunplay in this game are top notch. The multiplayer is addicting and the PvE encounters such as the Vault of Glass are top notch and the first of their kind. That being said this game leaves you going "is that it" There is a lot of replaying the same levels over and over for experience, bounties, or other reasons. Hopefully the future DLC will release a large enough amount of content to keep me interested.

All three of my teenagers and my husband all enjoy playing this game. The only way to make it better would be to allow more than one of them to play at a time on the same console.

I pre-puchased Destiny, as I assumed I would like it. I enjoyed the Halo series and Bungie is a top-notch developer. My two sons and I have all been battling for time on the XBOX ONE so that we each can play it. It's been very enjoyable. The elements of online multiplayer, rpg, single-player campaign, open world exploration, etc... give nearly everyone something that they can really get enjoyment out of. I have found my gameplay to be quite engaging. Highly recommend.

Another great game by Bungie. If you like the Halo series, you will like this game. If you like multiplayer shooters, get this if you like Sci-fi and get Call of Duty if you like modern warfare.

I love bungi, they're stories, level designs, gameplay and even music have always been great. They wanted to move on from halo and create something new and I was excited but as the trailers came out I couldn't help but compare destiny more and more to the halo universe. Not the story but the way it looked sounded and played. The music and sound fx even resembled halo. However I still gave it a chance and picked it up on release day. The story is blah, the levels are big but unfulfilling and the enemies are so so. Gameplay is solid but this lacks the soul that their previous games had. Perhaps it's because I don't play mmo style games or that it needs more time I don't know. As of right now I play it off and on. In the future it may become a great game but as of right now it's just average. If you are dying to play a great shooter then pre order the master chief collection. That has a ton of content to keep you busy while they beef this game up.

Ok, maybe not, but so far we have run over 650 hours into this game. If you hear people complain, its only because the game is so awesome but has room to grow. Best game on xbox one so far.

I got this game free with the Xbox One promotion before any reviews came out and am not disappointed. It has a lot of Halo-esque qualities in the weapons, vehicles, and map architecture and layouts. But instead of the linear single player of Halo you get to pick quests and locations, and you are also able to upgrade your character and equipment adding significant staying power to the game and the multiplayer portion.

This game is fun to play. There are issues that need to be addressed to make this game awesome, and I'm hoping they make some much needed changes, especially to the loot system and to the story. The story was very lackluster. Also it's hard to do some things in the game unless you have friends to join up with you. Where's the voice chat? Other than that, it's a great game and I look forward to the future updates.
