This game really fits my play-style. Its a solid combination of some of the concepts of Borderlands mixed with the feel of Halo. There are a lot of different ways to play the game. The online mechanics take a little bit to get the hang of but once you learn the maps, guns and abilities work its a ton of fun. The overall story mode is a little short for some but if you do the side missions from time to time It kept me busy for a several days.

Had always heard this game was really good from coworkers, finally caved and got it. Great game, can spend a lot of time on this one. Beautiful graphics, wow!

I followed the build up to this game for the past year, watching the trailers and videos of gameplay. This game was one of the most hyped games of recent memory. There was always the chance that the game would not live up to the hype it created for itself, and I was initially concerned for that. Having played the game, extensively over the past few days, I can firmly say that the game has lived up to the hype and has exceeded my expectations. There are elements of many games, which makes it appealing to different types of gamers. The shooter aspect is fantastic, as only Bungie, with their reputation for great games (Halo), could produce. The RPG style customization is also excellent. I have always been a little skeptical when it comes to games that place so much emphasis on online play, but the community style play during the campaign, as well as the online multiplayer through matchmaking, have been been flawless. I will admit that there was some issues with losing connection with the servers initially (during the first full day after the midnight release), which is likely due to such a huge, online game being released and everyone getting on to play. But since that time, there have been no issues. I'm sure Bungie and Activision have been hard at work to keep the servers up and to continue giving great service. Overall, I highly recommend this game to anyone. It has elements of several different game types which will attract different types of gamers. The scenery is beautiful. The campaign story is good. The game itself is not overly challenging, which not a "cakewalk" either. Check it out. You won't regret it.

This game is really cool. It looks amazing, it's pretty rewarding and at the same time not. Lol. Because you have to grind a lot to get good armor or weapons and the drops are pretty random. If you like grinding you'll love the game, and it's rather difficult on hharder levels so you might want to gather up some friends. It is lacking a bit more storyline and cutscenes. Other than that, great game.

It's fun! They do everything well enough to keep you wanting to play it almost endlessly. But on that note they do not get to deep on any aspect of the game.

Forget the bad press you've heard about the lack of content in this game. The gameplay is as flawless as video games get and this thing is just plain fun to play with friends.

I absolutely love the game. It has everything you need in a game, single player, co-op and multi-player,,great weapons,customerization. What else could u want.

I had been following Destiny for months prior to its release and was very excited when I was finally able to bring it home. When I first boot it up, the game looked beautiful and had great moment-to-moment action/gunplay gameplay; but moving deeper into the game, I could not help but be disappointed that Bungie had failed to deliver on the promises they made prior to release. They called it a huge, open worlds shooter and maintained in the previews that we would be able to go wherever we could see when exploring, the reality is there are very limited areas where you can explore during patrols, and during missions you are reduced to a very linear story driven mission. After level 20, the game becomes incredibly repetitive as you have to grind your way through strikes and raids to get the best gear to level your character. Missions are only interesting the first 15 times you do them... The DLC is what finally killed this franchise for me. 20 dollars is not a fair price to pay for the paltry expansion they are offering. If major changes are not made to the franchise, I'm afraid I've played the last of Destiny.

I don't even have words for this game and gaming experience! Hands down the greatest game I've ever played or heard of and playing it on the Xbox platform .... Mind blown !!!

This is a great game. It is fun to play and is even better if you go ahead and buy the expansion pack as soon as you purchase. Lots of fun and a good multiplayer as well.

Game idea is good very addicting but game can only b played online an the servers dont always work. Which means u cant play at that time an needs to b fixed

So far I am a huge fan of the game... except that I can't figure out how to get past all these aliens!!! It's like Assassin's Creed meets Halo meets Doom.

Destiny is an amazing game. From the makers of Halo I really didn't expect much less from them. Game is beautiful and plays very well, just gets a bit repetitive over time.

Pretty good game the multiplayer is one the best because of the upgrades. Campaign is so so but the bulk of time playing this will come from online play!

The game is short with a lot of rep grinding. Pvp is just a bunch of retards running around punching each other with a few shotguns thrown into the mix. There is also a fair amount of server lag. Story is good but not long enough. The rest of the story will doubtless be sold to us over the next year for another 50$.

Although you've heard by now the story is lacking, but there enough to enjoy the game. The visuals area awesome, the feel of the game is great and it is VERY addictive.

RNG not withstanding. The game is still evolving and continues to change often. If you like shooters then you will enjoy this. Mildly addicting though.

We got this with our Xbox One purchase. There's lots to do on this game. However, some of the game play takes patience. Overall this is a great game.

Let me start by saying that Destiny is a fun game. The game mechanics are smooth, it's fairly good to look at and is decent fun to play. However, the game has some pretty significant flaws. First, the campaign is pretty forgettable as the story is poorly conveyed. The enemies are generic and there is never much of a plot to really draw you in. The multiplayer is better and if you're buying this game simply to play with other people, it will be fine. I like a good story in a campaign and was disappointed. Other flaws include the long load screens, only being able to do strike missions with 2 other people (most games let the party be 4-5 rather than 3), loot system that isn't as robust as Borderlands style games (far too much time between good loot drops). Having said all that, the shooter mechanics are well done and it is fun to play. It just isn't the end all/be all of games that it tries to be with it's MMO, FPS, and loot elements. If I were looking at this game now, I'd recommend just waiting for the Master Chief Collection. Similar game play with a much better story.

Considering who made this game, I was hoping for something far, far better. From the very start of it, I felt like there was more I was expected to know about the back story. Who am I, what the heck is going on? Just not very easy to immerse oneself in the flow of it. I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of free roaming games anyway, so that's not helping. But personal preference aside, I still can't give it more than 3 stars. I'll stick with Call of Duty for now.
