Destiny is a new FPS, RPG, MMO from Bungie studios the makers of the Halo franchise. Bungie is a studio that has helped pioneered the FPS style games we all know and love today. Their expertise shows in Destiny with the cool character designs, innovative level designs, and awesome character models. Destiny is a combination of Halo, Borderlands and Mass Effect. The controls, movement, weapons, and powers are all reminiscent of Halo. The cooperative play, powerful weapons, looting, and boss battles feel like Borderlands. Finally the story, leveling, and character development will make you feel nostalgic towards the Mass Effect series. Great game, if you have a next gen system this one should be in your library.

This is probably the most hyped game of 2014 most likely due to its ambitious approach to a FPS game blended with MMO features. Destiny has great gameplay mechanics but lacks a cohesive or even an interesting story in-game, which is surprising seeing as the setting and characters have so much mystery surrounding them. The story seems like a missed opportunity but nonetheless Destiny is a great game that relies on its addictive and sometimes frustrating loot system to pick up the slack. Multiplayer is enjoyable and playing with friends is probably the best way to play Destiny. I would recommend this to people that enjoy games with a lot of grinding.

The game is a cross between wow and a first person shooter. Missions occur across several planets with increasing difficulty. They are designed for three person groups but can be soloed with difficulty. Armor and weapons are improved by completing missions. Special strike missions can get groups created by Xbox.

Love the game, however since you have to be connected to the Internet to play the Destiny servers can get a bit laggy and sometimes I get kicked out in the middle of a mission. That could also be because of my ISP though. All in all, it's a fun game that I hope they continue to update.

The folks at Bungie made a pretty solid game. My only knock is that the locations get re-used a lot and some of the missions and strikes can get really repetitive. The PVP is fun though and there is some good times to be had at the later game raids and trying to get the best gear.

I really like the type of game Destiny was envisioned to be. A new universe fraught with chaos and brave champions who explore and impose their will on it. The game play is smooth and easy, while still offering challenges to keep me coming back. My only issue is the depth of story. Getting excited about Destiny I expected there to be a lot more meat to the storyline. The details about the various races and planets are not as deep to the core storyline as expected, you have to spend more time than I like hunting it down. Still a fun game, and one I'm hoping more of my friends will pick up so I can build a fireteam to explore the wilderness.

I feel this is the first great game for the XB1, and convinced me to pick one up. After playing this games for about 10 hours so far, I am definitely hooked. The background of the story is not the best, but that's a minor issue. Honestly, think game is just straight-up fun. I haven't had this much fun out of a video game in a long time. I'm one of those guys that picks up COD each year, but mostly so I can play multi-player with my friends, even though that game is tired and recycled. Destiny is a fresh game with a lot going for it, plus the developers plan to add content to the game without charging extra for it. I would give this game a 9.5/10 and I can't wait for the sequels in the future.

This game is well made and a lot of fun to play. There is a lot of room to grow here but definitely worth a $40 price tag. The biggest negative in the game is, my favorite Game of Thrones actor is an absolutely terrible voice actor. Peter, so sorry but stick to the big screen :/

After holding out on purchasing this game, i finally bit the bullet when there was a sale. This game is actually quite fun. Satisfies that MMO type need without having to pay for a monthly fee. Its always fun to trying to get the exotics. I am still looking for my Gjallarhorn

I bought this game a few days after it came out and I had played the beta and really enjoyed it. I can't say I put a lot of time into this came my girlfriend and son have pretty much taken it over. We all enjoy the game very much and compete with each other to see who is leveling up the fastest.

From the makers of Call of Duty and Halo comes this gem of a game. If you love Call of Duty or Halo, then you will absolutely love Destiny! Also you do not need a membership to X Box Live Gold to play this game online! All you have to have is an internet connection and the free X Box Live account.

Destiny is a fun game, but I and Im sure a lot of others expected more. The gameplay is great. Shooting and battle is tight as you would expect. But the story is pretty bad. If you can look past that its a fun game.

Destiny is one of those rare games that comes along and completely changes things. It's an MMO, but don't let that dissuade if you're not into that type of thing. You don't necessarily have to play with other people if you don't want to, though I won't lie, it is more fun if you're playing with friends.Graphics are beautiful are on Xbox One. The draw distance of the game is mind boggling. Game play is loads of fun too, especially if you get friends involved. The story line is very deep and can be a little confusing at times until you get the mythos down. Bungie did not disappoint with this one and I doubt you will be once you start playing. Highly recommended.

Destiny is a great game if you are familiar with MMO's and also do not mind spending a lot of time trying to progress in the game. The game itself is great but depends on heavy grinding for progression doing the same raids over and over instead of having content.

I'm not a huge fan of the game. It is fun and very elaborate customization system for weapons and armor. It just seems like it over uses the same planets for missions over and over again. Still, lots of people play this and are always online to join fireteams.

I have enjoyed this game everytime I've played. It does require internet as the game is live all the time. Which means while you're on a mission, others will be able to join your mission or will be in the same area and able to help in with defeating the enemy.

Have been playing the game since launch on the PS4 and just recently picked it up on the Xbox One to play with friends. If your into the FPS genre and like some creativity to your play style then this game is a most own.

It's a decent game but is sadly hidden by expensive DLC walls. Wait for the whole edition coming out later in September before you spend the money on this game unless you want to grind before the new content drops then by all means get this!

Bought the game because I wanted a nice mindless grinding loot based game. It's perfect for the Diablo-esque collection mechanisms (lots of drops, lots of missions, lots of looking for the next cool piece of loot), but also has a nice Halo feel at times. In other words, it's much more satisfying than Diablo's "run in and launch sparkles in every direction and get out" type play. I personally like the shooting. Everything else - mission variety, narration/story, etc. is middling at best. Like I said - mindless collecting of loot = GREAT. Serious Halo-esque deep world with great missions...so-so. Takes a LONG time (over 5 hours) to get to some of the really good stuff.

Wow, the game is outstanding to start off with. I never really thought that merging creators of both games together would make such a wonderful piece of art. The game is perfect when it comes to gameplay and detail. It's a ginormous game with a LOT to do. Love it!
