Never tried the previous games I’m the installment. But based off of this alone I won’t try them. Spend maybe 6+ hours on the game and it was just to much. Great graphics though!

Got this first my son and he did not really like it.

It is essentially a movie where you press a few buttons.

It’s got very poor racism allegories, that can be pretty insulting, but I liked the characters of Conner, Hank, Kara, Luther, and Alice.

Storyline is weak and gameplay is sub par not worth the money

The game isn't too bad but I just have a problem with most of the storyline and loose ends. It's good for one playthrough though. Rent it if you can.

I purchased this based on the game premis and gameplay footage. However, as a hardcore gamer, I did not find this to be very fun or challenging. I finished it within a few hours.

Yeah. Clunky interface with a barely concealed political message in the story. Nothing new or worth recommending. Don't pay full price. You'll be disappointed anyway.

This "game" is more of an interactive movie than anything else. Which is fine. Just not sure about going full price $59.99 on something like that.

I got this for Christmas and just couldn't get into it.

Graphics: They are NOT as good as a lot of these reviews are making them sound (I am playing the game in 4k on a PS4 Pro). Now don't get me wrong, the game looks great, but it isn't THAT great. The graphics are better than GTA5 but worse than Uncharted 4. Gameplay: The game plays more like a movie and less like a game. This is not a fast paced game, you spend a lot of time looking around and when it goes to cutscenes, you'll feel like you have to work extra hard to do certain things. To be more transparent, this game is VERY focused on pressing buttons that display on screen (tap X fast, tilt controller down, hold R1 and L1, etc...). Don't let this discourage you though, the game is cool and has a great story and tons of different results depending on what choices you make. Overall: I would recommend this to someone who wants a relaxing gaming experience, most kids would not enjoy this game.

I’m going to keep this review short and sweet - Detroit is a breathtakingly amazing game from start to finish. I’ve already played through it once and can’t wait to play through it a second time so I can make decisions differently than the first to see how the story differs. Graphically, this is the most visually stunning I’ve ever seen; we’re talking photorealistic. Detroit has a gripping plot, mostly terrific cast, and is well-executed across most (if not all) categories that can be critiqued. So glad I gave this one a chance. Buy it - you won’t regret it!!

Loved the story line! Loved the huge amount of choices you can make! and how the outcome could change drastically! Always wanted a game that felt like it was important what choices I made. All other games felt like the same outcome was going to happen no matter what choices you made. But definitely not this game! Never played a game in my life that made me feel even the slightest emotion towards the Characters or the story line until this game.

David Cage has finally achieved his goal of masking a masterpiece. Unlike his previous games that had plot holes or some silly oversight, Detroit is perfect. You actually will care about the characters in the end of this one and your choices have real consequences, due to having so many possibly outcomes. it is great and it is the first ps4 game I had no problem paying full price for.
