    Id give a zero for the number of times and the co tunuous BS and lack of jnowlsdge. I know more about my old laptop than these children. I gor a new laptop and new harddrive and they still managed to delete crap and make it worse..now itunes cannot even be installed. I had it installed on c drive but they said they moved rhe crap to the new installed harderive but the program was under C and cannot be moved. I uninstalled and gues what no music transfer between the deives. They said they dodnt know squat about itines. All 4 kids. Amd, it was true but the guy told my husband they knew what to do. Amd he screwed it up. My laptop was new and no glotches. Sknce he " popped it in" the comouter freezes installs are not connecting to itunes at all and cannot be read. I called apply and rhey said soem part pf install by these kids wasnt installed cprrectly as shu shouldnt have to have 2 dofferent drives. Its messy. And muaic cannot be transferred to a doffowrent driv we and prgram in another. If u arent qualified for ur job why i are tampering with it? They also said the laptop hardware i wanted jnstalled dodnt fit. I called and spoke to best buy who recpmmended it fpr my laptop but ripped my husbamd off for spemthing twice the already expensive price. The annual service is needed for as many times as ive brought it in for teh dame issie. Ive lost my voice or id chew them out.

    Geek Squad Third Party Contractors Diaster

    Installation services for my TV was not carried out by Geek Squad employees, but third party contractors. My past experiences with actual Geek Squad employees has been great. Third party contractors were a diaster. They could not set up the TV. I had to insist they stay and figure it out. They wanted to leave me with an inoperable TV. I had specifically told Geek Squad customer service to NOT send contractors. They ignored me. Why am I paying for this service. Sent a complaint to customer service. Ignored. Geek Squad is why I shop at Best Buy for major tech purchases. Or shall I say, why I formally shopped at Best Bug.

    Geek Squad Broke My Computer!!

    If I could give the Geek Squad and Best Buy a zero rating, I would. I dropped my desktop off for a simple hard drive swap. They kept it for two days - then told me at pickup that they had broken the screen. The replacement policy was so restrictive that I ended up with a PC I disliked least to replace a computer I really liked. The manager on duty, Sterlin, who signed off on the transaction, was rude and dismissive. Avoid the Best Buy in west Little Rock, Arkansas (and all locations really) at all cost! They represent everything that is worst about business.

    I purchased a 42” Toshiba SMART TV for $285 at Best Buy in Sept. 2022. In August 2024 (less than two years later) the black screen of death suddenly developed while viewing the Olympics. I suspected a minor problem because both the sound and occasional normal screen would both appear intermittently with remote start-up. I scheduled an in store return to the Geek Squad at Best Buy where the TV was initially purchased. The in-store geeks knew nothing aboit the problem and did no in-store TV repairs at all!! Their mail out charge to the real Geek Squad repair shop was $85 before parts and labor. A brand new, exact replacement TV at Best Buy was now only $139. I wound up purchasing a new TV with plans to throw the old one out, as it was a complete waste of time and money returning the faulty TV to Best Buy for repairs. For fun I disassembled the old TV at hone myself, found a melted/shorted solder joint on one of the HDMI receptacles, repaired it, and got the TV working again perfectly….for free!! Now I have two functioning 42” Toshiba TVs, and strongly advise everyone to avoid the best Buy Geek Squad like the plaque. They kneow nothing and do nothing but charge exorbitant shipping fees to mail off Best Buy products for out of town repairs. The Geek Squad at Best Buy is a major ripoff and a complete waste of time.     Pathetic and embarrassing Geek squad service

    Got the premium membership to be able to go to geek squad for services. I took my laptop in to have a diagnostics and have it updated and more RAM added to it. Not only did it take longer than estimated by the agent, it was worse than when we took it in. Apps not opening, downloads not accessable. Agent laughed at my sense of urgency because it's vital to my work. You could say it was a bad luck situation but reading more reviews I find similarities with many others.

    Had an appointment at 12:20. This young kid shows up at 12:30 carrying his lunch. Doesn’t apologize for being late or anything. Barely looks at my tablet and tells me the only option for me is to pay $179 to “maybe” have it fixed in 2 days. When I tell him that it doesn’t sound like a good option he shrugs and basically says goodbye. What a waste of my time!

    If I could give zero or negative stars, I would. They are the most incompetent techs I have ever come across in my entire life. They could not help me remotely so told me to come into the store in person asked me to sit down and after no exaggeration less than five minutes, he told me he could not help me. The only thing that he did was go to onedrive.com and look at recent files that have been saved. My issue was I lost data on an Excel? . My issue was I lost data on an Excel sheet sheet that I use for the month of November each day has its own tab where I document my time for work. I had 18 tabs well less than 18 tabs. I had a tab for each day of November that was a workday up until the 18th, somehow the document only had up until November 7. MacBooks have auto recovery on it and technically are supposed to save a document every 10 seconds. These technicians did less than what you could do by yourself on a Google search do not waste your time. I beg you to not pay these people a dime of your money.

    Bad experience with my Mac Book Pro

    My Mac Book Pro could not be repaired at the store so it had to be sent out. I was told it would take 7 to 10 days to get an estimate. I dropped it off and it was shipped to a repair facility on July 22, it was received there on July 24. August 11 I received notice that they would be looking at it soon. August 20 I was told they needed additional information So Best Buy had the unit for 27 days and did nothing! Then they didn't have any interest to try and help me fix the problem other then someone on the phone reading a script. August 21 I supplied the additional information August 21 I was told the additional information was not successful August 22 I again attempted to resolve the problem August 25 My efforts were not successful August 26 I was told I had one day to respond or they will ship the computer back to me So for 27 days the unit was at Best Buy with nothing being done with it. But because I didn't respond in one day they tell me they are going to send it back. Oh, and by the way. There was a hurricane threatening Houston at the time. I won't make that mistake again.

    Not holding my breath

    Vizio TV repair: it's been 3 weeks and I still have no update. I have called the store multiple times but they have the phones forwarded to the 'National Team' and each person I have talked with (4) tell me to go to the store to get an update. The extra cost to pay for the Geek Squad coverage would have been better spent toward a new TV. Unacceptable customer service.

    Worst customer service I have ever dealt with trying to get my washer fixed tec came out on a Tuesday and said he was gonna have to order parts and be back out the next wendsday then he never showed up I called geek squad and they said it's cause not all part have made it their well I had the 2 parts that they ordered and then they say we'll their is a 3rd part that won't get here till April 17 so I asked OK then just exchange my washer and they are saying only the tec can make that call so my washer has been broke since I got it dealing with them for 2 plus weeks and now I have to wait a hole another month before this last part and they won't just exchange the unit

    Geek Squad equals extremely poor service!

    I purchased a new computer at Best Buy and paid Geek Squad to come to my home to set it up and migrate the data. After the visit I had some issues which they tried to fix remotely but every time they tried some else failed to work. I have made two appointments for another in home visit but they have failed to come to my home. I have made multiple calls and are often disconnected and nobody every calls back. Extremely poor service and would encourage others to beware!!

    I bought a certified refurbished MacBook for my daughter for Christmas. Turned it on and we couldn’t even log on to set it up for her. Took it to geek squad and they gave us two options to either return it or have them do the iOS update which should resolve the issue. Since they told me that the iOS update should resolve the issue I went with that that didn’t resolve it. Now I’m being told I can’t get a refund because the service was provided regardless of it fixed the issue or not so I guess I’m being told that I’m the one at fault for this. When the “agent” is telling me that the iOS update should resolve the issue that’s what I’m going with based off of the expert recommendation. But now they don’t want to take accountability. Never using them again or buying a certified refurbished.

    This will be the fourth time having one of the Geek squad repairmen come out to evaluate my 4 year old Samsung washing machine which hasn’t worked in over a month. Each time I’ve waited a week for an appointment. They still refuse to replace the machine and I’ve been on hold waiting to speak to a supervisor for an hour now.

    Abandoned our issue and have poor service

    Our new brother printer was difficult to set up, and they connected me to a Geek Squad. The first agent couldn't figure it out on the phone so forward me to Agent Shailaja who took over remotely and somehow abandoned the session after trying. No explanation. Didn't walk through anything with me. I did get an email follow up saying "they ensured the brothers printer was installed and functioning correctly and all related software from the manufacturers website is installed on my device. And that they printed a test page and verified scanner functionality..." this agent also dumped by google chrome. They did not do any test print or verify anything with me so it was very confusing and frustrating to find that the printer STILL DID NOT WORK. I got connected to another agent Santiago, who confirmed that this agent should have walked through the set up steps and do the test page print with me, and not just abandon the session like that. But when that agent Santiago tried to restart the session with me, somehow he got disconnected and said he would call back BUT HE DIDN'T. Very poor service overall. My team and had ended up touble shooting ourselves and got most of it resolved but what a waste of time. We are so happy we did not sign up for this Geek Squad service at Best Buy, but will probably not return to Best Buy for devices again.

    Geek Squad Protection - Not Worth It!

    We purchased the protection plan to cover whatever happens to what we purchased not to be told go look for it and we will reimburse you. And for a product that is no longer available. I needed this keyboard replaced with the exact thing or a similar keyboard. But they couldn’t provide. Very frustrating trying to find it when we paid for your service. Do not recommend and I hope people read all these bad reviews.

    Terrible customer service. Reference session ID: CAS-19500867-J9B9Z4. The rep was incompetent and did not want to assist. I hung up and call back and was told that Microsoft issue could not be resolved by Geek Squad.

    I had an appointment scheduled for this morning , Saturday after thanksgiving so I had to cancel my plans with family to wait for technician. No one turned up no one called to say they weren’t coming . I contacted best buy only to be informed appointment had been canceled and the earliest they can reschedule for is a week away. I will never purchase from best buy again as their customer service is non existent

    Avoid at all costs

    If I could give 0 stars I would. This has been the worst customer service experience of my life. To start, I was sold a broken TV that refused to find WiFI, not just mine but any Wifi, a SMART TV no less. After spending 2+ hours on with support they informed me that I would need to have an expert come out to troubleshoot, ok fine. They then scheduled my appointment in the middle of the work day without asking me, again annoying but I made it work. They then called me in the last 15 minutes of the scheduled window to say I OWE $150 for an issue that was not my doing and refuse to send someone out even though I originally confirmed multiple times that I would not have to pay for the service. I called back spent another 30+ minutes on with support for them to tell me that they inputed the request WRONG and will need to reschedule and need me to miss MORE work when I am still within my scheduled window. No sympathy, no regard for my time, and just simple human indecency. This is unacceptable behavior from a brand that should know better. I will never purchase another item from Best Buy after this.

    "Geek squad" SCAM!!!

    I brought my laptop to the best buy in Menifee, CA. They convinced me to buy the " membership" for $200. That it would be the best choice for repairs and maintenance. The laptop is a year old the screen kept getting stuck on loading or just not starting at all. They had me pick it up three days later only to tell me they couldn't fix it. They suggested to send it to the manufacturer for an extra $300. Dollars! I said NO. So basically "Geek squad" is nothing but a SCAM making tons of money for best buy. Save your time and money and go to a reputable computer repair shop.
