I took my beats headphones in for a repair to see if they could do a walk-in. The employee explained to me. I needed an appointment which was an hour out. I waited for an hour, and when I went back up to customer service to check in with the geek squad, I got told now fixes beats headphones. I was told I would have to buy a new pair. Why could I not have been told when I initially arrived?

I was just in the Great Northern Mall Best Buy, I wanted to buy a tablet, I stood near the tablets for 20 minutes waiting for an available sales person, I waited and waited and nobody asked if I needed help. As I was leaving a salesman asked if I found what I needed, I said yes but nobody tried to assist me, by that time I just left and got my tablet at Target.

I have been trying to resolve an issue for 4 and a half hours now. The techs try to help and then just disconnect. The last tech Ayan Kar kept trying to get disconnect instead of helping me. I asked him please not to leave and he said he would not but then disconnected from me without assisting me. I pay extra for this service only to get the run around

The agent fixed most of the problems I had but after he left I found one that he didn't fix. He also put an app on my computer I didn't ask for and had to disable it after he left. When I called about the missing fix, I was told I had to wait another week for some one to come back out.

TWO WEEKS LATER STILL issue worse then before. You cant call for help you cant depend on in sotre GEEK sqaud. So here I am paying for a $200 a year membership and $4500 computer that doesn't work!!! Very Disappointed in TotalTech

I wasted hours by signing up for Best Buy Total Tech. I am not a computer expert but knowledgeable enough to not mess with registry or systems files. I have a 4 computer and DiskStation home network. Everything was working well and I added a new laptop (All are Dell) Well, the dreaded Network-Credential verifications started popping up and after hours of watching video and reading I called and signed up for BestBuy Total-Tech (Geek squad). Their tech spent time cleaning files adding stuff to my registry and said he cleaned up everything and it was running great. I said it should, it’s brand new. I then said I’m having credential issues and can’t connect to my Network. 3 plus hours later he is changing, deleting files, calling me to do stuff and in the end he still can’t get the network to communicate with all my systems. He goes on some more and then sends me a message and states I need to call my Internet Service Provider to troubleshoot the problem/line, WHAT!!! What an embarrassing organization, not only that nobody followed up with the typical survey of was I satisfied. Not a peep. I got back on the chat and told them I want my money returned and they seemed to do that quick then offered me and in-store appointment. Worst experience I’ve had in a long time. Right now, were almost 24 hours out and still no follow-up.

Worthless! Scheduled an appointment to fix a dryer parts were ordered and arrived but technician didn’t arrive, even after I called 4 times to insure he would show up. I was told I needed to wait 24 hrs and rescheduled. I did, appointment was scheduled for Saturday, 8 days after the missed service and it happened again. Here we are paying for a service that doesn’t get rendered.

NOT ALLOWED TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE AT STORE

I brought my crashed computer in to have a data transfer, I suppled the USB. When I put the USB in I receive an error message stating something did not transfer or close correctly, do I want to scan and repair? I can not reach anyone at Best Buy in South Elgin, apparently it is a secret as to how to reach the store. I was told I need to go back in for another service. I am able to view what I need but not sure if doing the scan will mess up anything on USB. Easy question you would think. Spent at least 1/2 hour talking to people who do not know anything.

Absolute incompetence from the Geek Member Ian. He didn’t tell me that I needed to turn off my FindMyIphone to have my Macbook repaired and then let my insurance run out so that I would have to pay over $500 instead of $100. Geek Squad? More like the Complete IDIOT squad. I’d suggest going to someplace else to have your devices fixed!!

Im literally crying as I write this. Just got off phone with escalations 3rd time. After 2 months no washer/they can’t fix, they’re coming to just take pictures of washer so that “I may qualify”. My washer had a short circuit went on fire and I have a baby due any day now and they can’t just replace. Worst service ever! Never again getting geek squad or appliances with Best Buy.

Poor Support - Hope Someone at Best Buy Reads This

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I can’t find any other way to reach a customer support person (other than Geek Squad) at Best Buy so leaving this comment here in hope someone will read it. Geek Squad support is normally somewhere between acceptable and good; however, my husband and I have called Geek Squad FOURTEEN TIMES in the last 48 hours and have yet to have my problem solved. 1/3 of the time the call gets disconnected; the rest of the time the techs seem to think they’ve solved the problems when they haven’t, and/or techs just (apparently) give up and close the support session. I spent today on the phone NONSTOP with about 7 different agents, none of whom could fix two problems: 1) my PC keeps “dinging” at me frequently for no apparent reason (which disrupts Zoom meetings) and 2) my aol email account is not synching with Outlook. I do not have unlimited time to talk to Geek Squad. If someone does not contact me and fix this problem I will cancel my subscription.

DO NOT buy anything from BEST BUY ONLINE!!!

I ordered a $2000 laptop for my son as a graduation gift. After being delayed a week for delivery, he opened the box and it was the wrong computer. The box said it was the correct unit, but was a $1000 computer inside the box. After dealing with customer service for 38 combined hours, they had me take the return to UPS. Had to wait 4 weeks for a refund and it took 3 weeks to get the replacement. Never purchase anything online from Best Buy! I will never purchase anything from them again...online or in their store. Horrible service

I sent my open-box laptop in for a port and keyboard repair. Shipping took at total of 7 days, while the repair took 2 days the first time. When my local store received the laptop, they had only replaced the keyboard and but the port was never fixed after the service center said “both ports have full functionality.” The laptop had to be sent back for another repair and no loaner or compensation was provided.

Paid $99 and waited 5 days for them to tell me what I already knew. At the start, I explained in detail what was wrong with my computer and when they returned it they parroted back to me what I explained at the outset. They didn't do anything to repair my device and basically said "good luck". I purchased my device from Best Buy as well. Save your money or go to an SBA.

Customer Service is basically non existent. I paid for in home service. No one showed as scheduled and no one called. When I called in the person on the phone didn't have a clue. They told me a lady was scheduled to show up but they couldn't get in touch with her. 2 hours afier my appointment window a guy called and said he was on the way. Cannot justify recommending the Geek Squad in any way.

Geek Squad/ Apple repair services is a SCAM

Terrible. AirPod Pro mic was not working took them in to Best Buy to have their geek squad repair them. They ran diagnostics, sent my AirPods off and when I came back to pick them up they did not come back with the ear tips on them. When I pointed this out Geek squad told me those are an accessory and apple throws them away. When I asked why I was not instructed of this they said, oops our bad. We can open a claim and see if Best Buy will approve it. I left and about 2 weeks later couldn’t find my AirPods and so I went to track them only to discover that not only did they steal my ear tips but the stole my MagSafe charging case!!! When you try and call they outsource the number to folks in another country and you are not able to call directly to the store and the try and make you set an appointment. The geek squad/ apple repair program is such a ripoff. They literally steal from their customers

Geek Squad Support:Once Excellent Now Unsatisfacto

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The quality of Geek Squad remote support has fallen dramatically. Last year, Geek Squad remote service was fast, professional, and most important.....fixed whatever tech support issue(s) I encountered. Today, that is not the case. In the last 3 days I contacted Geek Squad for help with what I thought was a fairly routine issue. The issue was never successfully resolved in spite of 3+ hours engagement. The agent eventually just gave up and disconnected. Worse---they actually made my problem worse. I reengaged the next day only to get the same result. I eventually solved the problem myself after searching online through various blogs and community chats. Geek Squad used to be 5 Stars Plus. They are now 1 Star at most. The agents are clearly too busy to provide any focused support. They provide periodic reassurances that they are "digging into the issue". But that is all.

I made an appointment to get my iPhone fixed using Applecare. The tech told he couldn't help me and I needed to make are appointment at the Apple Store. I did this and when I was at the Apple Store I was told Best Buy is supposed to be able to do everything they do. This has happened twice to us. Not sure why they are a Applecare partner if they can never help anyone.

    Geek squad billing

We purchased the geek squad They were suppose to set up my daughter’s computer and they did nothing to it. So we canceled the plan. Well we thought we cancelled it come to find out it was never cancelled and now we have charges for another year and working with billing is terrible the representatives are so rude and it is a fight to get the full credit. This is such a headache that we don’t need. I thought I finally got it straightened out and they ended up only crediting partial so now I have late fees on the Best Buy credit card. Don’t waste your money on the geek squad

A teeny tiny sprinkle to cause a big storm...

Had an appointment at 2PM today to have my PCs power supply swapped out at the Pembroke Pines, FL location, only for them to turn me around because its raining outside and if my PC got wet, its a liability. My PC maybe had some sprinkles on it but nothing dramatic. They said even if it was misty outside they still wouldnt do it. I took time out of my busy schedule to make it to this appointment and I needed it done today to return back to work by Monday. They told me they wouldnt touch it for a few days. No thanks! Yall lost this business and Ill gladly goto a mom and pop shop thats not afraid to operate on my computer with my approval. Losing my job over this is going to be really detrimental because they were terrified of a sprinkle. What a joke. Stay away from geek squad at all costs. There is a reason they have terrible reviews. Makes sense now. Bad customer service as well.
