He also put an app on my computer I didn't ask for and had to disable it after he left. When I called about the missing fix, I was told I had to wait another week for some one to come back out.

This is the worse experience ever.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My experience was terrible, they first sold me on the yearly subscription of $220 for all Electronic repairs. I purchased the package and sent my pc in. I was told that anything wrong with my pc would be diagnosed and repaired in a few days. A few days go by and I get a phone call, they told me that my computer wasn’t able to be repaired because the manufacturer of my motherboard wasn’t supported by their program. So basically I payed $220 for them to tell me what was wrong with my pc. I drive to the location to pick up my computer and notice a few scuffs; no big deal. But when I get home I noticed a few more scuffs, then a few scratches, and then an absolute mess. These repairs weren’t repairs weren’t repairs at all, if anything they made my problem worse. Anything in my computer that could be scratched, scuffed, nicked, was basically rubbed by sandpaper. The HDMI port on my GPU looks like the person plugging it in was doing it with their eyes closed. They scratched my RAM and also bent the fins on my CPU cooler, and their thermal paste application looks like they decided it needed the entire tube. NEVER, take your pc to get diagnosed or repaired by this company. They will make your problem worse.

Computer tech support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Each time I call the geek squad it takes approximately 20 minutes just to get my information logged so that way they can put me in the queue to have someone call me back to start the process to get my issue resolved. Most recently, after spending about one hour total time dealing with this process, they messed up my computer further and wiped out my printer drivers leading to the need to call back to try to get the original issue. Then spending 25 minutes on the phone with someone from India that spoke extremely slow (I believe on purpose) so as to avoid having to deal with taking additional calls, he then proceeded to intentionally not transfer my call after he could see that he was frustrating me by taking so long to get me into the queue for someone who could actually help me with my issue. What an incredibly terrible service the geek squad provides and such a waste of time and money for the lack of technical support they provide..

I brought in my laptop, a 3 year old Lenovo Legion, for dropping wifi and blue-screen crashes. I will say, they were prompt. We kept to our appointment times well and I was informed the instant they were finished running their diagnostics and a one-hour stress test. The staff were friendly, we had a couple laughs, and I was informed that nothing was wrong anywhere. I will concede that the wifi problem turned out to be irrelevant (router problems at home) but my laptop is crashing even more frequently. Games that I have been playing for years will give me a blue screen within 10 minutes of playtime, assuming my computer doesn’t suffer a hard freeze. I don’t know what this ‘stress test’ entails, but it is clearly inadequate. If anything, my computer is running worse.

Geek Scam
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After I moved to cypress highway 6 branch Best Buy went and talk geek squad the guy works at fry road geek and bought Sony TV, refrigerator,LG washer and dryer and also bought geek for something’s happened . Every thing was looks nice and people also nice but they scammed me by selling used and defective washer and dryer . After a couple of days I went back and ask they said no problem we gonna fix it since i have geek account . They did check and cancelled . And they told me I cancelled . And asked them it didn’t work check it and fix it or change it but they said since I have canceled the geek they will not help me and want me to buy new washer and dryer . .Now I am washing and dry at washateria until get the new one installed. People becareful don’t trust geeks they make money by selling stuffs and at the same time by selling fake items and they keep the new one for them self to sell as a black market . “ hard to suspect to nice people”

What has happened to the Geek Squad?

The agent was taking a long time on my laptop, and was keeping me updated. Then there was a long period of no communication. I found out they had quit, and left me hanging because they could not fix my problem. They could have at least told me! Then I received an email from Best Buy, confirming that I had a support session. This is the second time something like this happened to me in the past year. I don't use the service too often, only if I'm in a jam that I cannot figure out. Has the Geek Squad hired a bunch of hacks? I have been with them many years. I won't renew the service next year. For me, it's not worth it.

Geek squad failed at installing my washing machine

They didn't know how to hook up my washing machine even though I paid for that service. I had to take 2 days off of work since both times they would only offer a 12 hour window. I would never purchase again.

After being delayed a week for delivery, he opened the box and it was the wrong computer. The box said it was the correct unit, but was a $1000 computer inside the box. After dealing with customer service for 38 combined hours, they had me take the return to UPS. Had to wait 4 weeks for a refund and it took 3 weeks to get the replacement. Never purchase anything online from Best Buy! I will never purchase anything from them again...online or in their store. Horrible service

It took three months to have anyone came then they said it was cracked it wasn't cracked until they messed with it. It was there fault then refused to fix it. DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY.

Geek squad billing

So we canceled the plan. Well we thought we cancelled it come to find out it was never cancelled and now we have charges for another year and working with billing is terrible the representatives are so rude and it is a fight to get the full credit. This is such a headache that we don’t need. I thought I finally got it straightened out and they ended up only crediting partial so now I have late fees on the Best Buy credit card. Don’t waste your money on the geek squad

Never finished the job of installing our computer.

Did part of the installation, and left. Had to make another appointment a week later. Contacted management, Useless bordering on indifferent to rude. We have bought refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher and a dryer, and still were treated this way.

Dryer Nightmare

Horrible customer service

They had to reschedule me because there was a computer glitch that lost my information? Electronic stores loosing data. Very scary. Beyond this, The Squad did not enter the correct information in their order. I have been on the phone 5 times with these people and cannot get assistance. Unfortunately, they will have to see me at their store to rectify the situation. Yes, an advocate called me and will not have any answers or a phone call back within 24 to 36 hours. By this time, I will have hired someone else.

The tech told he couldn't help me and I needed to make are appointment at the Apple Store. I did this and when I was at the Apple Store I was told Best Buy is supposed to be able to do everything they do. This has happened twice to us. Not sure why they are a Applecare partner if they can never help anyone.

Cracked screen 2 months later while in a case. Have to schedule repair online and colerain in not an authorized dealer. Scheduled for a Wed in fields ertle. 45 min drive and they said no one can help and repairs take about 3 hours if parts are in. I ask if they can order parts and I bring it back when they are in? Nope. Had to make an appointment for the following sat. I used a spare phone and switched my SIM card so they could call when it was ready. They said it would take a couple days. They have had it 4 full days and still don't have it. Worse experience. I'll take it to a fix it place next time and pay about the same as I did for this repair with the protection plan. Had to pay $200 up front

They have one geek squad staff Tall white heavy man on today 1/26 wearing a orange shirt also wears glass. He is very rude I did not want to give me the great customer services I should receive. Giving me short answer made me feel like I was wasting his time. I feel he need to go back school and learn customer skills and be kind to other people that is another races.

Didn't fix, said hardware issue -not so!

Neither Geek tech could resolve this tiny (as it turned out) mismatch. I say tiny issue, as then I called Epson. In five minutes or less, the rep corrected the pull-down options mismatch with my computer and the printer. Geek Squad said it was probably a hardware issue at the end. So, they were wrong. That experience, with my effort and input and the more than an hour they wasted ... not good. I chose not to even address my larger issue.

Stay Away!!!!

That evening i could not connect to my Direct tv and DVD player. I went to Best Buy on Sunday morning and talked to a Geek Squad person who told me that if they issued a reconnect, i would be charged and that i should call the 800#. Wowzers!. It gets "better ". I called the 800# thinking they would schedule the reconnect. WRONG! They told me that they would send a message to the technician who installed it to contact me. He has yet to do that. So i paid for the TV and $200 for connections and it still isn't there. I myself will resume to doing future purchases with Crutchfield, whom I have used before and had INCREDIBLE experiences with, and hire a private person to connect products i can't.
