    Horrible customer service

    HORRIBLE!!! I had to call tell them on the phone becuase they were late for an appointment. They had to reschedule me because there was a computer glitch that lost my information? Electronic stores loosing data. Very scary. Beyond this, The Squad did not enter the correct information in their order. I have been on the phone 5 times with these people and cannot get assistance. Unfortunately, they will have to see me at their store to rectify the situation. Yes, an advocate called me and will not have any answers or a phone call back within 24 to 36 hours. By this time, I will have hired someone else.

    The worst customer service ever. People is totally unqualified to give advise. They do not know anything about anything. Very hard to find a person to help you. I am sure this store will be closing soon. Shelf are empty. What a disaster, can of a shame to loose the o ly store of this kind. But is a waist of time to go there

    Geek Squad Abandons Remote Session TWICE TODAY

    TWO super agents abandoned my remote sessions today with no notes left for me. They simply abandoned the remote sessions. No fix, no email, no follow-up. I spent most of the day being available for their questions. This was an attempt to fix a brand new very expensive laptop I bought at Best Buy last week. Additionally, I tried to call the store to speak with a sales person, and I was routed to the national call center. I couldn't even speak with my local Best Buy. It appears Best Buy wants to insulate their people, in-store and Geek Squad, from their customers. VERY POOR MARKETING ENGAGEMENT. I will be seeking a different vendor to manage my computer devices after this experience.

    Hello I'm currently having to take my laundry to a laundromat. They keep coming out and trying to tell me it's operator error and now they want to replace filters when along with not drying properly the unit is spitting oil onto my clothing. A new mesh filter is not going to fix this. They are probably spending more money avoiding honoring the warranty on this unit. I have bought many items from Best buy. I will not step foot in that store again and I would highly recommend to anyone I know to avoid them at all cost.

    Rude reps that are sloth slow

    I had a reservation for 1:40 today. I got in the line marked for reservations at 1:25. I didn’t get to the counter to speak to a rep until 1:50. The reps I spoke to made it seem like it was my fault I was late to the reservation time when they had spent the previous 26 minutes helping people who didn’t have a reservation and didn’t bother to ask if anyone in line actually had a reservation. After waiting past it appointment time, I was told they weren’t sure if they even had the part needed to fix my device in stock and if they did it would be at least 1.5-2 hours to be completed. To make matters worse, there was a disgruntled customer who said one was to 2 hours around 10 am and his device didn’t get completed until 2 pm. They didn’t even go to check to see if they had the part until 2:10 pm. Well past my appointment time. I just got up and left. The entire experience was disheartening. Reps were rude and condescending. Never again.

    I needed them to hook up my printer. I had to wait about 35 days for someone to come out but when he did come, he did not hook it up correctly. I immediately called back and I had to wait another 30 days for them to come out and fix their mistake. The day they were supposed to come. I got a call and they said they could not keep that appointment and they scheduled me for another 30 days out so I told them to screw off. By the way their call-center is not in the US and because of that they are absolutely no help because those people just read from screens. I don’t buy a pencil from Best Buy anymore and I never ever would let them touch another computer or any other electronic device. Find someone else to help you

    Geek Scam

    After I moved to cypress highway 6 branch Best Buy went and talk geek squad the guy works at fry road geek and bought Sony TV, refrigerator,LG washer and dryer and also bought geek for something’s happened . Every thing was looks nice and people also nice but they scammed me by selling used and defective washer and dryer . After a couple of days I went back and ask they said no problem we gonna fix it since i have geek account . They did check and cancelled . And they told me I cancelled . And asked them it didn’t work check it and fix it or change it but they said since I have canceled the geek they will not help me and want me to buy new washer and dryer . .Now I am washing and dry at washateria until get the new one installed. People becareful don’t trust geeks they make money by selling stuffs and at the same time by selling fake items and they keep the new one for them self to sell as a black market . “ hard to suspect to nice people”

    Didn't fix, said hardware issue -not so!

    I spent over an hour on an EASY Epson printer message issue: "Computer paper mismatch with paper in the cassette". Neither Geek tech could resolve this tiny (as it turned out) mismatch. I say tiny issue, as then I called Epson. In five minutes or less, the rep corrected the pull-down options mismatch with my computer and the printer. Geek Squad said it was probably a hardware issue at the end. So, they were wrong. That experience, with my effort and input and the more than an hour they wasted ... not good. I chose not to even address my larger issue.

    Service stinks. I am looking for a replacement. Careless, lousy phone service. I am waiting 20 minutes so far to have a Geek Squad technical support person answer the phone. Any other questions?

    For the record, I am sorry about this. I brought in my laptop, a 3 year old Lenovo Legion, for dropping wifi and blue-screen crashes. I will say, they were prompt. We kept to our appointment times well and I was informed the instant they were finished running their diagnostics and a one-hour stress test. The staff were friendly, we had a couple laughs, and I was informed that nothing was wrong anywhere. I will concede that the wifi problem turned out to be irrelevant (router problems at home) but my laptop is crashing even more frequently. Games that I have been playing for years will give me a blue screen within 10 minutes of playtime, assuming my computer doesn’t suffer a hard freeze. I don’t know what this ‘stress test’ entails, but it is clearly inadequate. If anything, my computer is running worse.

    Gas dryer

    I DON'T recommend warranty with geek squad for appliaces. My gas dryer has been out for month and a half, 3 diferent technicians more than 10 parts replaced and denied replacemen.t. Customer service said that the technician has to authorize the replacement, the technician said that the replacement department does it, the department said that the customerservice does. At the end I paid warranty for nothing and i will have to buy a new one. I will buy from home depot again. The warranty works 100%.

    No Call No Show repeatedly - never use them!!

    Need a warranty call on my washer. First service call I never rec'd a 4 hour window, then on day of I got a text saying they were at my house so I rushed home, no one was there. Tech said he never sent to the text, they have a new system that is screwed up. He ordered parts and said when they shipped he'd call to schedule install...its been three weeks. I finally got a date scheduled, again no show, no call, nothing! I have never seen such poor customer service I will NEVER buy anything from them again.

    Geek squad is a complete scam. I paid $400 for a repair plan for a 75in TV. It took three months to have anyone came then they said it was cracked it wasn't cracked until they messed with it. It was there fault then refused to fix it. DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY.

    Glad to cancel the plan. Such a waste of money. Best Buy being a tech company has one of the worst systems. They can't even see the orders I made through their own credit card. And the Geek Squad support is a big joke.

    My 90 yr old mother tried calling the Geek Squad, after about 45 seconds of her trying set up an appt, they hung up on her. Then she tried online to set it up through a chat. Had appt and was slowly typing in her CC # and they got impatient and disconnected her. They need to learn some patience. We will get help elsewhere.

    Incompetent and Rude

    I brought a computer in for repairs(water spill and few keys non-functional but very operational) and would be asked to repair for more than the purchase price. I declined only to have the computer returned and in non-working condition, with a rude member of staff acting super smart arguing it may have got worse (certainly while in their hands). Even more complicity.

    do not trust this place went there so they could fix my bluetooth they told me it would take 3 days , they called me telling me it would take longer waited about 1 week and they told me when i got there it was fixed just for me to come home and realize it was not fixed, they wasted my time thanks a lot a geek squad horrible customer service would not recommend to no one if it was possible i would leave negative stars.

    Worst support ever

    Online support has become so poor the service is worthless. Online over 2 hours trying to sync Outlook. Only message was “sync” takes a long time. Nothing fixed. No response from advanced level. They probably sent an email even tho emails aren’t being received. Have had this service for years but now totally inept.

    What has happened to the Geek Squad?

    I had a chat session, then a remote diagnostic. The agent was taking a long time on my laptop, and was keeping me updated. Then there was a long period of no communication. I found out they had quit, and left me hanging because they could not fix my problem. They could have at least told me! Then I received an email from Best Buy, confirming that I had a support session. This is the second time something like this happened to me in the past year. I don't use the service too often, only if I'm in a jam that I cannot figure out. Has the Geek Squad hired a bunch of hacks? I have been with them many years. I won't renew the service next year. For me, it's not worth it.
