Excellent series with this being a strong point in this excellent series. My fiancee and I love playing this game co-op as it provides in-depth story through over the top view with action RPG mechanics. The graphics and cinematics are always on point in this series and especially with this game.
Highly recommended!

I bought this game after playing the server stress beta. I thought it was interesting in that time. But then I finished the campaign after it launched, beat the big baddie, and...just kind of fell off. It didn't capture me. I didn't feel a need or desire to explore the rest of the map, or to complete and participate in the open world activities.
The combat feels extremely, painfully repetitive. Spamming 2 abilities, tossing 3 or so more here and there. But, primarily spamming 2. Over and over and over again. Blow up a group of enemies, go gather a new group, spam spam spam, blow them up, repeat, repeat. It's just...blah.
That said, what it does, it does well. The (spammy) combat is tight and responsive. The loot is looty. The exlosions are exploding, demons are demoning, the viscera is...viscering. But there's no real hook. Yes, I know, the loot loop is supposed to be the hook, but some shiny items aren't enough to keep me playing a game where the primary interaction is spamming 2 buttons. Beyond the campaign story, which was decent, I felt starved for substance. Perhaps Diablo is due for an evolution.

A solidly fun experience with or without friends. Dropping in out feels pretty seemless. Some of the funnest Diablo class building I've experienced you can really branch out and do your own thing and not feel like you're doing something wrong. I would recommend this game to any fan of the series. One caveat is it seems to require internet to play.

Great entry to the series. Even if you havent played the others. the controls feel great on console and the story is easy to follow. Tons of content packed in it too. The darker tone of the world reminds me of Diablo 2 and the raids are epic. Must buy.

This is an excellent edition to the Diablo franchise. The only downside is having to wait to near the end of the storyline befoee you unlock your mount. It makes you want to replay the story less than just skipping on future character.

As a continuing fan of the diablo series this one does NOT disappoint.. the story is amazing and the cutscenes are incredibly well done.. this is a game that is both welcoming for new players as well as returning fans. 1000/10

Loving the game so far! Graphics are pretty amazing, there’s more gore in the cinematic scenes and I really enjoy the story. I will definitely recommend.

I truly love the franchise, having grown up with it. I love the way some of the older games - lets be honest, 1 & 2, - made me feel. I loved trying to figure out the runes. The various gear drops from mephisto and baal runs. While I’ve not played beyond level 20 much yet, im enjoying the gameplay. Sure, its like any other dungeon crawler, but I’m finding myself more intrigued with the characters in this. D3’s story… i mean cmon. This one has me interested to see where it leads. The graphics are incredible. Im playing on the series X. 4k textures are legit!

Im a new diablo player. I know nothing about the other games. Im not even a fan of these kinds of games as ive never played them before but wow am i a fan now. Its great, making a new character every season to get season rewards is a bit weird for me but doesnt bother me at all. The game looks great feel good and the cutscenes are even better. Like i said im a new diablo player but this would be the place to start for something like this.

First things first, is it fun? Yes. The folks at (Activision)Blizzard If you are a day one Diablo fan and you were disappointed with D3, this is (from my point of view with some limited research) a return to form. Dark, dreary and gothic. The skill trees are tighter and makes it easier to hone your build to your exact specifications. D3 was my entry point to the franchise and honestly, I prefer it to D4. One thing that annoys me about D4 is that it's always online and you can't pause or play entirely by yourself. All in all, still a fun game.

I have to imagine playing this game would be incredible, but I forgot to pick it up. I heard the cinematography is wicked, and the gameplay is death-defying. My friends raved about it, but I accidentally spent more time outdoors this summer and missed what sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Don't you make the same mistake as I did.
