I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone starting out.

Haven't used it much, but it seems to be an upgrade from the other inexpensive tablet, which held me over for year before carrying it around irresponsibly zonked it out. Not a bad item at all. The previous Digiland tablet was great for the basics, but seemed to have a few gliches that I hope this one has resolved.

i PURCHASED THE DIGITLAND TO LISTEN TO NPR STATIONS OVER THE INTERNET AT NIGHT IN DIFFERENT TIME ZONES. THE ONLY PROBLEM THAT i HAVE IS THAT SOMETIMES IT LOSES THE INTERNET CONNECTION OR SEEMS TO LOCK UP. IN THOSE CASES IT HAS TO BE TURNED OFF AND BE RESTARTED. OTHER THAN THAT IT DOES WHAT I EXPECTED OF IT.

I bought this as a gift and was disappointed when it stopped working after 2 days. He turned it on and it froze on the home screen.

It works for what we wanted it for and it was cheap so you get what you pay for

Purchased online in December 2015. Opened and started using my two Digiland tablets on Christmas day. Like magic, both 7" tablets now have powering issues. When turned on they power up and then shut off. They were both accepting the chargers and were charged overnight. Happens with full charge, and with or without charger plugged in they both cannot power up and stay on. Both tablets were having issues turning off at random prior to this as well. All these problems occurred within the two weeks they were being used. Extremely disappointed about choosing this junk and they're not even worth their cheap price. Stay away from Digiland.

BE SURE TO UPDATE THE TABLET FIRMWARE RIGHT AWAY BY INSERTING A BLANK microSD CARD AND NAVIGATING TO SETTINGS > ABOUT TABLET > WIRELESS UPDATE (NOT SYSTEM UPDATES) > CHECK FOR UPDATES. The tablet originally had firmware from late August 2015, and an update on November 4th, 2015 installed a ROM update dates October 8th, 2015. A month ago, I decided to take a look at the current budget tablets available, and was very surprised to see one with both Android 5.1 and an IPS screen, since the screen on my very similar (literally has an identical port layout and front camera location) Android 4.4 tablet has a ridiculously bad viewing angle. So, I got this one to try out, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much better it was in most ways. The good: -IPS screen, be sure to update your firmware so the brightness control actually works and you're not stuck at 50% brightness after boot. Viewing angles are great so you don't have to look at the screen dead on, some colors do seem a bit washed out, but it looks best to me at 100% brightness. It is also a cheap IPS panel, so expect some banding and interesting dithering patterns in some cases. -5GHz WiFi support, Bluetooth 4.0 AND GPS! I never thought a cheap tablet would have this connectivity until sometime later. -Dual cameras, all I can say is that they work, and are only acceptable enough for basic video chat, but that is true for nearly every cheap phone or tablet. -Mediatek MT8127 quad core Cortex-A7 SoC (speed is alright, don't expect amazingness), 1GB DDR3 (likely a single 32bit 8 gigabit chip like my other MT8127 tablet), 8GB storage with 2.76GB reserved for firmware and 5.24GB for you. Definitely use a microSD card with this one if you need to (you'll need one for firmware updates anyway). The bad: -NO TRRS JACK SUPPORT: You absolutely CANNOT use a headset/microphone combo with this tablet, only TRS stereo headphones (just plain old headphones or earbuds) without microphone ONLY. This is irritating because my Android 4.4 tablet that I regard as nearly the same as this one actually has TRRS support and I can use any headset on it, whereas I have to pull any TRRS plug out slightly in this tablet to even get the headphones working properly. Very disappointing. -Takes about 2-3 minutes to boot, and sometimes needs reboots to fix random glitches, but it usually behaves for a while after that. Random glitches include failure to connect to WiFi, apps not loading or failing to update, and a reboot usually works. -Battery life and charging: A micro-USB cable and 1.5 amp charger are included, but exactly like my Android 4.4 sister tablet, this one will drain you battery while plugged in and "charging" if you have the screen turned on and are really pushing the tablet. In this condition, you'll get maybe 4-5 hours of Google Remote Desktop streaming with the screen brightness on max, but your battery will drain to near zero percent (haven't experimented with whether the tablets shut off eventually or not, but both my MT8127 tablets of this style have the same issue, almost as if the charging circuit on the motherboard can't keep up). Overall, a decent entry level tablet, just keep checking for firmware updates regularly, and it would sure be nice, though unlikely, for this tablet to see Android 6.0 someday.

It was my travel tablet, so didn't get used all the time. Size wise it was perfect, but within a year I couldn't get it to turn on.

My children drop their tablets every few months and I need to get a replacement. These tablets are the best performing for the price point. With the latest software and easy set-up, you can't go wrong. I even have a few on stand-by for gifts.

Brought 3 of them for Christmas. Battery life is horrible. One of them cutoff and didn't come back on. Mind u there only a month old . save your mony and buy a better brand
