    SUPER IMPRESSED

I am looking into tablets for some of our team members for work and I purchased the cheapest Kindle which impressed me with how well it worked (for a $40 tablet on sale). The thing I didn't like about the Kindle is that I was confined to Amazon's apps and it didn't have the Google Play store (and the Google Apps that our company uses). This tablet is every bit as good as the $40 Kindle BUT has the huge advantage IMHO of having Google Play. Also, it seems like Digiland refrained from installing any bloatware which is nice and it seems pretty close to stock Android. The camera isn't very good which is to be expected but the selfie camera worked great for a Google Hangout session. I purchased a Digiland tablet a year ago and purposefully went for the cheapest tablet Best Buy sold -- it was a C+ at best last year. One year later and the same tablet is noticeably better. For the money, this tablet is an A/A+.

Quick set up, works great. I get about 150' of outdoor wifi with my indoor router! Wifi does lose connection with extended hibernation, but reboot fixes every time. I used the microsd slot to do the update, but worked fine even before. Got all that I need on there and still have 3GB of onboard storage left. Speakers aren't that loud, but other than that, well worth the price and I was hesitant about it being so cheap! Note also my store only had black even though it said it had other colors in store, so if you want a color, order online or call.

    OK tablet, a few problems

I've had my tablet for over a month now. my nexus 7 2013 had a fatal fall, and I needed something quick and cheap. I got this for 39$ which was totally worth it. the problems: in power saving mode (15% battery left) the screen won't come on until its plugged in. the screen scratches very easily. I had my nexus for 2 years, and never once scratched the screen. this scratched so quickly that I wonder if it didn't come from the factory that way. the digitizer tablet is slightly off from the LCD. this makes using the keyboard difficult to use, but holding portrait, with charge port down works best. I don't know if it is simply because its narrower than my nexus was, but I consistently hit the n or m instead of the space bar. finally as of yet have been unable to root.

I got this for $39.99 on Cyber Monday and I thought I couldn't expect too much for that price. I had purchased a cheap tablet three years ago that was clunky, slow and almost unusable. That one only had 512mb of ram, a much old dual core and android 4.0. This tablet is a completely different experience than that old one. The 1GB of ram makes a huge difference in the overall smoothness and responsiveness of this tablet. So far it feels almost as fast as my much more expensive Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro.

    Handy first tablet

Inexpensive but handy, replacing phone for browsing due to large clear screen and added micro SD card memory to hold maps, documents and daily. Purchased for vacation in lieu of carrying guide book. Loaded with offline Google Maps of Germany, Budapest, Trip Advisor offline materials, downloaded City Guides. GPS worked without Wi Fi connection so G_Maps showed clearly where I was and (for saved) locations how to get there from here. A saved map of Budapest for example would show whole city , zooming down to a street and block, all offline. Arrived at destination and read city guide for history of sites, menus for cafes in Vienna, etc. Really great add to the trip, and if lost/stolen, not a big loss. Tried cheap unit years ago; slow, bad battery, limited space. Awful. This unit works smoothly , fast, and long battery life. I'd replace my phone with if it if the unit actually had a 4G connectivity. This $40 (sale) item with added 16 GB memory outperforms my phone in almost ever way; why is the phone 10+ times more just to add a cell connection? It is not a IPAD , but for its niche, a nice tool. I did download and edit free doc apps and opened office docs. Only one issue: Wi-Fi connectivity through local servers, like hotels where you have to enter their password t get on. The unit does not pop up that page for you to enter the info needed, so connectivity shown but no internet access. [I found a possible solution, though] Works great on typical home, office, open networks (and you can use open networks because this device is not carrying your life history like a phone.)

great screen, visible from every angle, tilt it left right up or down. my previous budget tablet that i bought online the screen would black out when tilted up or down(went to the BestBuy store to avoid this problem again). this tablet has good resolution, no noticable pixelation. its a bright screen, indoor use i turn it all the way down. i only use it to play games, so i don't wear out my phone. has a 3-3.5 hour continuous use battery. cpu intensive game, it gets warm but not hot, like on my phone or my previous tablet. cpu and ram are good, no lag while playing my game. uses a micro USB charger so interchangable with the phone's charger. although the cord is shorter than my S4's. i did not have to update any of the software. couldn't ask for more from a $50 tablet.

    Great Tablet For Beginners

I bought this tablet as a Christmas gift for my mom & she loves it. This is her first tablet so I wanted to get something easy to use. She mostly uses it to play games & read emails. The games play good with no lag. The screen is nice but isn't always 100% responsive. Also the battery drains pretty quickly & takes quite awhile to charge. Overall it's great for beginners

I got this for my 2 1/2 year old so my expectations were very, very low and while this is no iPad or even Kidle its not a bad little tablet to get my littlest one off my bottom and not trying to steal her brothers kindle. Since they broke my IPad I use their tablets till I get a new one and surprisingly I've been using this one more often then his nicer kindle because it loads faster and downloads apps and video faster. How long it will last? How long till it clogs up or get infected? Who knows, probably not long at this price but for $40 who cares. My it suggestions is get a high quality screen protector ASAP. I managed to scrape the h out of this tablet all over the front within an hojr, before I'd even given it to my child. It's not glass or whatever higher products use but some kind of cheap clear plastic, so if you want the screen to stay clear cover it immediately. Also pic and video quality is sub par but again who cares, its great for a child at this price point when literally all they care about is popping bubbles and re'watchinh every episode PBS ever created so they can be like their 4 yr old brother doing his educational stuff. Download an easy parental control app and your good to go. I wish midrange tablets worked as well as this one. It's either $40 or $600 but in between sucks as bad as the $40 so if you've got a child under 6 or 8 then save your cash. My 4 year old ALWAYS gets a kindle tho after the last broken one we switched to the $50 model and other than it being slow its also an excellent cheap option. Unless your kids break them once a month its not worth buying the warranties, just backup your cloud.

    Great value for intended use

I prefer a pocket size smartphone, so I bought this tablet to use on trips and other casual uses where I needed a larger size screen. If it got lost or broken, while annoying, it would not be a disaster like it would be for a notebook or more expensive tablet. I am happy with the size. It will be easy to slip into a bag or case and not take up much room. I am not a gamer, so I can't comment on how good this would be for that except to say I think a little more horsepower and memory would be useful just like for gaming on desktop computers. All apps that I downloaded from the Play Store were happy with this tablet. I did add a microSD card to increase the storage capacity. I do own several other Android tablets so I have some basis for comparison, including a 10" Insignia along with a variety of other tech devices. Based on a few days use, it seems like a solid basic tablet and a good value for the money. I would think it would not be great as a primary computer/tablet for someone unless that person was accident prone and needed to replace it periodically. A big hesitation in purchasing was the 90 day warranty. I would have preferred a year even for a basic tablet like this. Unfortunately the extended warranty options Best Buy was offering was quite expensive when compared to the purchase price of the tablet. I may eventually buy another to use as a remote control for my smart TV.

I bought this tablet to use with a square card reader to do our credit card transactions. We just needed something that could be dedicated to that job. I have another tablet that I use for most everything else. So I can't really give you a true review of how it would do streaming video or playing games. Setup is super simple. If you are familiar with setting up an android phone this is exactly the same. Enter your Google account info, connect to WiFi and you are off to the races. I had it out of the box and setup in less than 15 minutes. It runs android 5.1 and does a good job. Is it super fast? No, but it's not a dog either. I don't do anything that would really push it's limits. I'm not used to a 7" screen so I find that challenging sometimes. The screen is responsive without being twitchy. Overall I'm happy with the purchase. Would I want it to replace my Samsung Galaxy 10", no. But they are way opposite ends of the scale. For web browsing, social media (ugh) and the basic apps I use it more than fills the bill. Durability might be an issue if you are getting it for a child. But if you take care of it, like you are supposed to do, it doesn't have any issues. Amazing for a tablet under $40.

I got this for someone who doesn't use technology much. They love it and it works great for what it needs to do. Handles all the small things well. I would not recommend running anything heavy on this but it still does the small things you would want it to do.

I bought this as a back up to my iPad and to keep my son off of my iPad. This was something that I could easily throw into my purse, take to work, to a friends house, doctor appointments and etc. without worry. It's a surprisingly good tablet for the price. I purchased my tablet on sale for $39.99. I set it up easily and it loads fast and works great. I also dropped it without a case from out of my purse and face down onto a tile floor. Picked it up without a scratch. I was shocked! Works great and was the cheapest tablet in the store. Thinking about purchasing another one for my son. It's pretty good.

Device charged fully in about 3 hours. Screen is bright and clear. Quad core cpu is responsive. Seems easy to use if you know what you are doing. Enclosed documentatioh is only a description of tablet ports and switches. No details of how to use Android 5.1 (LOLLIPOP). Could not find more documentation on company website. Anyhow, managed to easily set up my wi-fi and change some tablet defaults. Searching web for Android 5.1 end user documentation.

For the price, I am not complaining at all. I simply use it to surf the web, read books, etc. Not using the camera, as the quality is not there. If I drop it and break it, I can quickly replace it without worry. Shortly after I bought one, a friend bought one and he's quite pleased as well.

Setting up tablet this evening, the more apps I ran, the slower tablet ran. Solution - Reboot. Ooops, It shut down, but will not rebooted itself, hangs on startup screen. Tried the recessed *reset* button, and then the android total reset (on switch+volume up) Still no joy. I'm going to swap it for another one tomorrow, hopefully there will be no repeat performances. .

Tablet is a good price but you get what you pay for. The battery doesn't hold a long charge (less than 18 hrs and it's dead even without being used), the sound quality is horrible, you have to use headphones if you're in a room with any sort of background noise. The internal memory sucks. After installing 3 apps, a system update was needed but there was no more room. I'll be exchanging these for something better. Originally wanted the Kindle but they were all out, which is how we ended up with these.
