    This is an RF remote. It is the same as the remote issued by DirecTV. It is not the IR remote!

    Unfortunately when you break a controller you need to by a DirectTV remote or you will have issues working the control box.

    This is a quick replacement for the original one lost somewhere in my house. I have to repeatedly press buttons many times to get them to work. It is so frustrating when I punch in 251 and 1 comes up. Do not like it.
