Does not control LG Smart TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Direct TV Remote worked as expected with the satellite box but I could not find a TV code for our LG Smart TV. The procedure provided to find a useable code was impossible to implement. I had bought the same remote 2 yrs ago. The select button quit working causing me to buy the new unit. Neither unit had any codes for LG TVs. And, neither unit would allow me to search for useable codes (even though both provided a procedure for doing so. I got a new controller directly from Direct TV and it works perfectly with the satellite box.

New batteries or not it is iffy. Hoping Best Buy may carry a better DirecTV remote.

Same remote that comes with original DTV box

This is the second remote that I had to purchase though within the last year because the buttons wear out.
