Expected much more from this title, but its still early so I am hoping it changes my mind later.......

Well the game itself is ok, but if you play your switch often, this is a good filler. Pretty fun.

It's more Disgaea if you like the series. Good tactical game but I prefer a more serious story.

I personally did not enjoy this game. It may just not be my type of game but it was just to confusing from the beginning and nothing pulled me in to keep investing time.

This game made my head hurt.... I felt like The game was giving me epilepsy

If you are a fan of turn based rpgs than you'll love this game. As it's a port all the dlc from the original comes free with this, and there is loads to do. This will definitely take up a lot of your free time.

Few franchises can get away with feeling this similar from version to version, but Disgaea is just that deep, requiring you to understand and exploit character stats, equipment attributes, and class abilities at a level most modern RPGs have abandoned in the name of accessibility. Disgaea 5’s many new and tweaked gameplay features hit way more often than they miss, and together with its distinctive brand of campy fun and some subtle but welcome visual improvements, they make this one of the better Disgaeas. But DLC characters break this game and make it way too easy.

I can see why a lot of people really like this game and get sucked in for hundreds of hours. The story mode for me was about 40 hours long, and I got bored about 10 hours into the post-game. Someone else with more time to kill will enjoy it. Reviews that I read talked about this game being a grind. For the story mode, I never got stuck or had to level up before moving on. It was fun and entertaining. I just casually tried out different mechanics as they became available during the game. But the post-game is all about grinding to level up characters, skills, gear, items, etc. In this game you can make just about any crazy strategy work in this game, which is cool but that also means it's overall pretty easy. I was also disappointed that the terrain and movement didn't play a more important role in combat, like it does in Final Fantasy Tactics. This game is really more about optimizing things things to reach insane stats than it is about battle strategy or tactics.

The humor and writing are like a middle schooler was hired to do the job. I haven't played Japanese games in quite a while but hope this humor style and stories aren't as bad as this in other games I might be buying. There's no way I can go another hour of this annoying dood. If I can find a switch user near me I giving this dud away. The game might be good but I just can't get past the writing and voice acting.

Disgaea 5 is amazing RPG for the Switch. It has great story, characters, and combat. One of the best RPG for Switch.
