I'd already purchased the Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel starter kit, but this Disney starter kit for the 2.0 version of Infinity included the game, base, figures and two Toy Box Takeover discs. To be honest, the sale price made it cheaper to buy this than the Takeover discs by themselves, and the PS3, PS4, and Wii U bases are all interchangeable, and work with the 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 versions of the game.

We upgraded from the Wii version and my kids love it. My only complaint is the lack of playsets but my kids spend the most time building their own stuff in toyboxes.

I purchased this set after purchasing the Marvel Hero edition. It was on sale, so it made it quite easier to get the figures and toy box games cheaper than what they would have been purchasing them separately. The game is not for the very young as there are no specific missions to complete unless you purchase the playsets. Otherwise it is fundamental to use your imagination to build levels and missions to accomplish yourself or other created levels you can download. i would recommend at least 12+, but the game is very addictive and figures are made very detailed.

Starter packs are usually inexpensive, as they know you will be buying more and more individual characters, and that is how they make their money

Bought it on sale and it was a great buy. my kids loved to see Disney characters in action in PS3.

This a wonderful sandbox game for kids. My children were so excited opening this thing up for Christmas and it's been a blast watching them play! More options and soooooo much better looking than minecraft. Great for all ages. If you're looking for a great game the whole family can enjoy, this is it!!! Best buy is the place to get it as well. there is so much to do in the disney infinity for kids and adult who love games

My daughter was excited to have this. This can make a great Christmas gift. I like the fact that she can imagine anthing and created in the game. The only con: is that you have to buy the powers discs. Just another way to get parent sto spend more.
