I've owned a less expensive drone which I crashed so I had already decided prior to crash I was going to upgrade to this Mavic air. Unlike my previous drone which you just unpack, charge and fly....There was a difficult learning period to learn to charge, hook phone up to controller, and then get online to use. eventually with persistence it got done but if you don't use it often you have to relearn how to connect again. not so simple as charge and fly. It does take better photos and video than my previous drone and definitely has a greater distance it can cover.

This is by far the best drone for the money on the market for consumers. Easy to fly and great features.

This is my favorite portable of all time. I have tried many but this just sines in quality and finish.

Overall I am incredibly happy with my purchase, even though the Mavic Air 2 came out just a couple weeks after I bought mine. The newer version isn't the same size, and is considerable more expensive- besides that, the new features are largely unneeded for many use cases, and it is definitely worth looking into the original if you want something more affordable but still quite capable.

Great drone. Portability is superb. Very easy to fly. The only issue that I have found is that the flimsy connection cable from the controller to the phone is weak and prone to stop working, which results in Aircraft Disconnect warnings that are unnerving. I've replaced that with a more robust cable (USB to USB-C) running instead from the USB port to the USB-C in the phone...and the issue has gone away. Otherwise, a great overall drone.

Great drone and after using the virtual academy actual flying easy to do. Definitely recommend customizing controls and get a landing pad to make searching during landings easier.
